Hadith 178

Ahmad b. Ziyad (ra) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from his father. He said: Abu Ahmad Muhammad b. Ziyad al-Azdi narrated to us from Aban b. `Uthman and others from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as). He said
Whoever completes his fast with a good saying or a good action, Allah will accept his fast. So, it was said to him: O son of the Messenger of Allah! What is the good saying? He said: The testimony that there is no god but Allah; and the good action is giving out [zakat] al-Fitra.
9 - حدثنا أحمد بن زياد (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه، قال: حدثنا أبو أحمد محمد بن زياد الازدي، عن أبان بن عثمان وغيره، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام)، قال
من ختم صيامه بقول صالح أو عمل صالح، تقبل الله منه صيامه. فقيل له: يا بن رسول الله، ما القول الصالح؟ قال: شهادة أن لا إله إلا الله، والعمل الصالح: إخراج الفطرة (2).
