Hadith 176

Ali b. al-Husayn b. Shadhuwayh al-Mu'addab (ra) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. `Abdullah b. Ja`far b. Jami` al-Himyari narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. Muhammad narrated to us from his father from Muhammad b. Abi `Umayr from Sayf b. `Umayra from Mudrik b. al-Hazhar. He said
al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as) said: O Mudrik! May Allah have mercy on a servant who causes the people to love us, narrating what they would recognize, and leaving what they would deny.

قال الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام): يا مدرك، رحم الله عبدا اجتر مودة الناس إلينا، فحدثهم بما يعرفون، وترك ما ينكرون (2).
