Hadith 149

`Ali b. al-Fadl b. al-`Abbas al-Baghdadi narrated to us. He said: I recited to Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Sulayman b. al-Harith.
I said: Muhammad b. `Ali b. Khalaf al-`Attar narrated to us. He said: Husayn al-Ashqar narrated to us. He said: `Amr b. Abi’l Miqdam narrated to us from his father from Sa`id b. Jubayr from Ibn `Abbas. He said: The Prophet (s) was asked about the words that Adam received from his Lord by which He forgave him. He said: He asked Him “by the right of Muhammad, `Ali, Fatima, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn, forgive me.” So, He forgave him.

قلت: حدثكم محمد بن علي بن خلف العطار، قال: حدثنا حسين الاشقر، قال: حدثنا عمرو بن أبي المقدام، عن أبيه، عن سعيد بن جبير، عن ابن عباس، قال: سألت النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله) عن الكلمات التي تلقى آدم من ربه فتاب عليه، قال: سأله بحق محمد وعلي وفاطمة والحسن والحسين إلا تبت علي، فتاب عليه (1).
