Hadith 1008

It befits the praying person to do tasbih with the tasbih of Fatima al-Zahra (as) after every obligatory prayer. It is: thirty-four takbira, thirty-three tasbiha, and thirty-three tahmida (saying alhamdulillah). So, if he does that after the obligatory prayer prior to bending his legs, Allah forgives him. Then he sends blessing upon the Prophet and the Imams (as) and supplicates for himself with whatever he likes. He does sujud after he is finished from the du`a’ with the sajda of thankfulness, saying three times in it: shukran lillah (thanks be to Allah). One does not leave it off unless there is an opponent present, out of taqiyya.
وينبغي للمصلي أن يسبح بتسبيح فاطمة الزهراء (عليها السلام) في دبر كل صلاة فريضة، وهي أربع وثلاثون تكبيرة، وثلاث وثلاثون تسبيحة، وثلاث وثلاثون تحميدة، فإنه من فعل ذلك بعد الفريضة قبل أن يثني رجليه غفر الله له، ثم يصلي على النبي والائمة (عليهم السلام)، ويدعو لنفسه بما أحب، ويسجد بعد فراغه من الدعاء سجدة الشكر، يقول فيها ثلاث مرات: شكرا لله، ولا يدعها إلا إذا حضر مخالف للتقية.
