۞
The adhan and the iqama are dual (i.e. each sentence being said twice as opposed to once). The obligations of the prayer are seven: the time, the purification, the tawajjuh, the qibla, the ruku`, the sujud, and the du`a’. And the qunut is in every prayer, obligatory or voluntary, in the second unit prior to the ruku` and after the recitation. It suffices for the saying in the qunut: rabbi ‘ghfir wa ‘rHam, wa tajaawaz `ammaa ta`lam, innaka anta ‘l-a`azz al-akram (My Lord forgive and have mercy, and overlook what You know, verily You are the most powerful, the most generous). And three takbira also suffices in it. And if the praying person likes to mention the Imams (as) in his qunut and to bless them, then he is to mention them collectively (i.e. without naming them individually).
