Hadith 357

11. He said: Abul Qasim Ja’far ibn Muhammad, may Allah bless him with mercy, reported to me from Ja’far ibn Muhammad ibn Mas’ood, from his father Abu al-Nadhr al-Ayyashi, who reported from Muhammad ibn Hatim, who reported from Muhammad ibn Muadh, who reported from Zakariyya ibn Adi, who reported from Ubaidullah Ibn Amru from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, from Hamza ibn Suhaib, from Abu Saeed al-Khudari, from his father who said
I heard the Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, say from the pulpit: "What has happened to the people who say that blood relationship with me shall have no benefit on the Day of judgement. Yes, by Allah! My womb relation is linked here and hereafter. And surely, O people, I shall precede you onto the Pool. When you will arrive. Someone will say: ’O messenger of Allah, I am so and so, son of so and so.’ Then I will answer: ’As for your lineage, I am aware (of it). But after I had gone, you took to the left side, you retracted your footsteps backwards, on your heels."
11 - قال: أخبرني [أبو القاسم] جعفر بن محمد رحمه الله قال: حدثني جعفر بن محمد بن مسعود، عن أبيه أبي النضر العياشي قال: حدثنا محمد بن حاتم قال: حدثني محمد بن معاذ قال: حدثني زكريا بن عدي قال: حدثنا عبيد الله ابن عمرو، عن عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل، عن حمزة بن [صهيب، عن] أبي سعيد الخدري، عن أبيه قال
سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله يقول على المنبر: ما بال أقوام يقولون: إن رحم رسول الله لا ينفع يوم القيامة؟ بلى والله إن رحمي لموصولة في الدنيا والآخرة، وإني أيها الناس فرطكم يوم القيامة على الحوض، فإذا جئتم قال الرجل: يا رسول الله أنا فلان بن فلان، فأقول: أما النسب فقد عرفته، لكنكم أخذتم بعدي ذات الشمال، وارتددتم على أعقابكم القهقري.
