Moavieh ibn Am'mar asked Imam Sadiq (a.s) regarding the Almighty God's statement: “Lower thy voice.” [The Holy Quran: Luqman 31:19] Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: “This implies that you should not sneeze aloud or talk in a high tone of voice at war unless you are inviting the people to follow God.”
عن معاوية بن عمار قال
سألت أبا عبد الله (عليه السلام) عن قول الله عز وجل: ﴿واغضض من صوتك﴾ قال: هي العطسة القبيحة، والرجل يرفع صوته في الحرب رفعا - أي قبيحا - إلا أن يكون داعيا لله.
