5 – Jaʿfar b. Maʿrūf, Abū al-Faḍl, al-Samarqandī. al-ʿAyyāshī narrated from him a lot. There was irtifāʿ in his madhhab. His ḥadīth is recognized sometimes, and other times rejected.
