Imam Ali (AS) said, Piety is nothing but scrutinizing ones earnings [to ensure lawfulness] and abstaining from worldly pursuits.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : إنَّما الوَرَعُ اَلتَّحَرّي فِي المَكاسِبِ وَ الكَفُّ عَنِ المَطالِبِ
