Imam Ali (AS) said, If you had abstained from lustful desires you would surely have been safe from tribulations.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : لَوْ زَهِدْتُمْ فِي الشَّهَواتِ لَسَلِمْتُمْ مِنَ الآفاتِ

Imam Ali (AS) said, Whoever hastens towards lustful desires, afflictions rush towards him.

Imam Ali (AS) said, One who makes a habit of following [his] lustful desires is overwhelmed by afflictions, is associated with evils and has certainty about the permanence [of this world].
