Imam Ali (AS) said, Accompany the ruler with caution, the friend with humility and cheerfulness, and the enemy with that which you can [use to] establish your proof over him.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : اِصْحَبِ السُّلْطان بِالحَذَرِ وَ الصَّدِيقَ بِالتَّواضُعِ وَ البِشْرِ وَ العَدُوَّ بِما تَقُومُ بِهِ عَلَيْهِ حُجَّتُكَ
