Imam Ali (AS) said, Verily you are only [the sum total of] a fixed number of days, and every day that passes you by takes a piece of you with it, so reduce your desires and be moderate in your earning.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : إنَّما أنْتَ عَدَدُ أيّام فَكُلُّ يَوْم يَمْضي عَلَيْكَ يَمْضي بِبَعْضِكَ فَخَفِّضْ فيِ الطَّلَبِ وَ أجْمِلْ فِي المُكْتَسَبِ
