hadith 9459
Imam Ali (AS) said, Continuously remember death and remember what you will face after death; and never wish for death except after being sure that you have fulfilled the condition for security [in the Hereafter].
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : أَدِمْ ذِكْرَ المَوْتِ وَ ذِكْرَ ما تَقْدِمُ عَلَيْهِ بَعْدَ المَوْتِ وَ لاتَتَمَنَّ المَوْتَ إلاّ بِشَرط وَثيق

hadith 9460
Imam Ali (AS) said, Increase your remembrance of death and of the place you have to go suddenly and return to after death, until it comes to you while you are on your guard against it and have prepared yourself for it, and let it not come over you suddenly thereby taking you by surprise.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : أكْثِرْ ذِكْرَ المَوْتِ وَما تَهْجِمُ عَلَيْهِ وَ تُفْضي إلَيْهِ بَعْدَ المَوْتِ حَتّى يَأتِيَكَ وَقَدْ أخَذْتَ لَهُ حِذْرَكَوَ شَدَدْتَ لَهُ أزْرَكَ وَ لايَأتِيَكَ بَغْتَةً فَيَبْهَرَكَ

Imam Ali (AS) said, Remember the destroyer of pleasures and the spoiler of lustful desires and the caller towards separation.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : اُذْكُرُوا هادِمَ اللَّذّاتِ وَ مُنَغِّصَ الشَّهَواتِ وَ داعِيَ الشَّتاتِ

Imam Ali (AS) said, Verily our statement: “Indeed we belong to Allah” is an affirmation we make to ourselves that we are owned and our statement: “Indeed we will return to Him” is an affirmation to ourselves that we will die.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : إنَّ قَوْلَنا «إنّا لِلّهِ » إقْرارٌ عَلى أنْفُسِنا بِالمِلْكِ وَ قَوْلَنا « إنّا إلَيْهِ راجِعُونَ » إقْرارٌ عَلى أنْفُسِنا بِالهُلْكِ
