Hadith 1377
1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn abu ibn abu Najran from Safwan ibn Yahya from al-‘Is ibn al-Qasim who has said the following
“I once had lunch with abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), and he (the Imam) said to me, ‘Do you know what this is?’ I replied, ‘No, I do not know. 5 He (the Imam) said, ‘This is Shiraz al-’Utun (yogurt- water) that we have extracted for one of our patients. If you like to eat you can eat it.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنِ الْعِيصِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
تَغَدَّيْتُ مَعَهُ فَقَالَ لِي أَ تَدْرِي مَا هَذَا قُلْتُ لَا قَالَ هَذَا شِيرَازُ الْأُتُنِ اتَّخَذْنَاهُ لِمَرِيضٍ لَنَا فَإِنْ أَحْبَبْتَ أَنْ تَأْكُلَ مِنْهُ فَكُلْ .

Hadith 1378
2. Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from Muhammad ibn Khalid from Khalaf ibn Hammad from Yahya ibn ‘Abd Allah who has said the following
“I once was with abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), that small bowls were brought and he (the Imam) pointed with his hand toward one of them saying, ‘This is Shiraz al-’Utun which we have extracted for a patient with us. Whoever wants to eat he can eat and whoever does not want can leave it.’”
أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ خَلَفِ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ
كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) فَأُتِينَا بِسُكُرُّجَاتٍ فَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ نَحْوَ وَاحِدَةٍ مِنْهُنَّ وَ قَالَ هَذَا شِيرَازُ الْأُتُنِ اتَّخَذْنَاهُ لِعَلِيلٍ عِنْدَنَا وَ مَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيَأْكُلْ وَ مَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيَدَعْ .

Hadith 1379
3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Safwan ibn Yahya from ‘Is ibn al-Qasim who has said the following
‘I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about drinking yogurt water. He (the Imam) said, ‘You can drink it.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ عِيصِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ شُرْبِ أَلْبَانِ الْأُتُنِ فَقَالَ اشْرَبْهَا .

Hadith 1380
4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father from al-Husayn ibn al-Mubarak from abu Maryam al-Ansariy who has said the following
“I once asked abu Ja’far (a.s.), about drinking yogurt water. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ شُرْبِ أَلْبَانِ الْأُتُنِ فَقَالَ لِي لَا بَأْسَ بِهَا .
