Hadith 803
1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘Umar ibn ‘Udhaynah from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), if an animal can be slaughtered with a piece of sharp wood or stone. He (the Imam) said, ‘Without iron it is not a proper slaughtering.”’
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الذَّبِيحَةِ بِاللِّيطَةِ وَ بِالْمَرْوَةِ فَقَالَ لَا ذَكَاةَ إِلَّا بِحَدِيدَةٍ .

Hadith 804
2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about slaughtering with (sharp) piece of wood, reeds and stone. He (the Imam) said that Ali ibn abu Talib (a.s.), has said, ‘Without iron slaughtering is not proper.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الذَّبِيحَةِ بِالْعُودِ وَ الْحَجَرِ وَ الْقَصَبَةِ قَالَ فَقَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ( عليه السلام ) لَا يَصْلُحُ الذَّبْحُ إِلَّا بِالْحَدِيدَةِ .

Hadith 805
3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Sayf ibn ‘Amirah from abu Bakr al- Hadramiy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Animals that are not slaughtered with iron cannot be used for food.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ سَيْفِ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام )
أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا يُؤْكَلُ مَا لَمْ يُذْبَحْ بِحَدِيدَةٍ .

Hadith 806
4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Khalid from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah ibn Mehran who has said the following
“I once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about slaughtering. He (the Imam) said, ‘Slaughtering cannot properly be done without iron and ’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), prohibited slaughtering without it.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الذَّكَاةِ فَقَالَ لَا يُذَكَّى إِلَّا بِحَدِيدَةٍ نَهَى عَنْ ذَلِكَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) .
