Hadith 2117
1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn al-‘Muthanna’ from Sadir af-Sayrafiy who has said the following
“I once saw abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), remove hairs from his cheek and from under his chin.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى عَنْ سَدِيرٍ الصَّيْرَفِيِّ قَالَ
رَأَيْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) يَأْخُذُ عَارِضَيْهِ وَ يُبَطِّنُ لِحْيَتَهُ .

Hadith 2119
3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from Ali ibn Ishaq ibn Sa‘d ibn Yunus from certain persons of his people who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The amount of beard that you must keep is what comes in inside your fist and you must clip off whatever exceeds you fist.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) فِي قَدْرِ اللِّحْيَةِ قَالَ
تَقْبِضُ بِيَدِكَ عَلَى اللِّحْيَةِ وَ تَجُزُّ مَا فَضَلَ .
