Hadith 2072
1. Ahmad ibn Idris has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan ibn Yahya from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following
“I once asked abu al-Hassan, who passed away (a.s.), about the two thousand that one has left with his family for two years’ expenses is there Zakat on it? He (the Imam) said, ‘If he is present, there is Zakat due but if he is not present Zakat is not due on it.’”
1ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الْمَاضِي (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
قُلْتُ لَهُ رَجُلٌ خَلَّفَ عِنْدَ أَهْلِهِ نَفَقَةً أَلْفَيْنِ لِسَنَتَيْنِ عَلَيْهَا زَكَاةٌ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ شَاهِداً فَعَلَيْهِ زَكَاةٌ وَإِنْ كَانَ غَائِباً فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ زَكَاةٌ.

Hadith 2073
2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from certain persons of our people who has said the following
“He once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who leaves one thousand dirham for the expenses of his family and it remains with them for one complete year is there Zakat on it? He (the Imam) said, ‘If he stays Zakat is due, but if he is absent, Zakat is not due on it.’”
2ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام)
فِي رَجُلٍ وَضَعَ لِعِيَالِهِ أَلْفَ دِرْهَمٍ نَفَقَةً فَحَالَ عَلَيْهَا الْحَوْلُ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ مُقِيماً زَكَّاهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ غَائِباً لَمْ يُزَكِّهِ.

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ’Isma‘il ibn Marrar from Yunus from Sama‘ah from abu Basir who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who leaves with his family three thousand dirham for the expenses of two years is there Zakat on it? He (the Imam) said, ‘If he is present, Zakat is due, but if he is absent, Zakat is not due.’”
3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مَرَّارٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
قُلْتُ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ يُخَلِّفُ لأَهْلِهِ ثَلاَثَةَ آلاَفِ دِرْهَمٍ نَفَقَةَ سَنَتَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ زَكَاةٌ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ شَاهِداً فَعَلَيْهَا زَكَاةٌ وَإِنْ كَانَ غَائِباً فَلَيْسَ فِيهَا شَيْ‏ءٌ.
