Hadith 1922

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ibn Faddal and Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yasir who has said the following
“Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), once said to me, ‘Buy al-Khazz (garments made of skin or fur of an animal that lives in water) for yourself or if you like buy al-Washy.’ I then asked, ‘All with al- Washy?’ He (the Imam) asked, ‘ What is al-Washy ?’ I replied, ‘It is that which has no cotton in it and they say it is unlawful.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘You can wear what has cotton in it.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ وَ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يَاسِرٍ قَالَ
قَالَ لِي أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) اشْتَرِ لِنَفْسِكَ خَزّاً وَ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَوَشْياً فَقُلْتُ كُلَّ الْوَشْيِ فَقَالَ وَ مَا الْوَشْيُ قُلْتُ مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ فِيهِ قُطْنٌ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُ حَرَامٌ قَالَ الْبَسْ مَا فِيهِ قُطْنٌ .
