Hadith 2141
1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Qasim ibn Yahya from his grandfather al-Hassan ibn Rashid who has said the following
“He (the Imam) (a.s.), has said, that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ’Clipping fingernails repels great many pains and makes the sustenance flow.”’
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ جَدِّهِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) تَقْلِيمُ الْأَظْفَارِ يَمْنَعُ الدَّاءَ الْأَعْظَمَ وَ يُدِرُّ الرِّزْقَ .

Hadith 2142
2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn Salim who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ’Clipping fingernails on Fridays is immunity from leprosy, vilitigo and blindness. If you do not need to trim them then at least scratch them.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
تَقْلِيمُ الْأَظْفَارِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ يُؤَمِّنُ مِنَ الْجُذَامِ وَ الْبَرَصِ وَ الْعَمَى وَ إِنْ لَمْ تَحْتَجْ فَحُكَّهَا .

Hadith 2143
3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali ibn Sulayman from his uncle ‘Abd Allah ibn Hilal who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, once said to me, ’You must clip your mustache and fingernails every Friday, if you do not need clipping then just scratch them. You will not be affected by insanity, leprosy and albinism.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ قَالَ
قَالَ لِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) خُذْ مِنْ شَارِبِكَ وَ أَظْفَارِكَ فِي كُلِّ جُمُعَةٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِيهَا شَيْ‏ءٌ فَحُكَّهَا لَا يُصِيبُكَ جُنُونٌ وَ لَا جُذَامٌ وَ لَا بَرَصٌ .

Hadith 2144
4. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ’Clipping fingernails and mustache every Friday is immunity from albinism and insanity.’”
عَنْهُ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
تَقْلِيمُ الْأَظْفَارِ وَ أَخْذُ الشَّارِبِ فِي كُلِّ جُمُعَةٍ أَمَانٌ مِنَ الْبَرَصِ وَ الْجُنُونِ .

Hadith 2150
10. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Muhammad ibn Talhah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Clipping fingernails, mustache and washing one’s head with hollyhock (marshmallow plant) every Friday banishes poverty and increases one’s sustenance.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) تَقْلِيمُ الْأَظْفَارِ وَ قَصُّ الشَّارِبِ وَ غَسْلُ الرَّأْسِ بِالْخِطْمِيِّ كُلَّ جُمُعَةٍ يَنْفِي الْفَقْرَ وَ يَزِيدُ فِي الرِّزْقِ .

Hadith 2153
13. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from Ali ibn Asbat from Khalaf who has said the following
“Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), saw me in Khurasan and I complained of eye trouble. He (the Imam) said, ‘May I teach you something which will remove your complaint because of your eyes?’ I replied, ‘Yes, I like to know it.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Clip your fingernails every Thursday.’ I followed the instruction and have not complained ever since of my eyes.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ خَلَفٍ قَالَ
رَآنِي أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) بِخُرَاسَانَ وَ أَنَا أَشْتَكِي عَيْنِي فَقَالَ أَ لَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى شَيْ‏ءٍ إِنْ فَعَلْتَهُ لَمْ تَشْتَكِ عَيْنَكَ فَقُلْتُ بَلَى فَقَالَ خُذْ مِنْ أَظْفَارِكَ فِي كُلِّ خَمِيسٍ قَالَ فَفَعَلْتُ فَمَا اشْتَكَيْتُ عَيْنِي إِلَى يَوْمَ أَخْبَرْتُكَ .

Hadith 2154
14. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Fadl al-Nawfaliy from his father from his uncle all has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Whoever continues clipping his fingernails every Thursday will not experience eye ache.’”
عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَ عَمِّهِ جَمِيعاً عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
مَنْ أَدْمَنَ أَخْذَ أَظْفَارِهِ كُلَّ خَمِيسٍ لَمْ تَرْمَدْ عَيْنُهُ .
