Hadith 414
1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hafs ibn af-Bakhtariy who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who divorces his wife; if he can benefit her. He (the Imam) said, ’Yes, does he not want to be of the people of good deeds, does he not want to be of the pious people?”’
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ الْبَخْتَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) فِي الرَّجُلِ يُطَلِّقُ امْرَأَتَهُ أَ يُمَتِّعُهَا قَالَ
نَعَمْ أَ مَا يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ أَ مَا يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِينَ .

Hadith 415
2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father and a number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from al-Bazantiy who has said the following
“Certain persons of our people have mentioned that benefiting a divorced woman is obligatory.’”
علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه، وعدة من أصحابنا، عن سهل بن زياد، عن البزنطي قال
ذكر بعض أصحابنا أن متعة المطلقة فريضة.
