Hadith 355

355. Yahya Al-halby, from Al-Musna, from Abu Baseer, who has said
Abu Abdullah (asws) regarding the Statement of Allah (azwj) Mighty and Majestic: “[10:27] as if their faces had been covered with slices of the dense darkness of night”, he (asws) said: ‘But, have you seen the house when it is the night, so it would be darker inside than the outside of it. So, like that, their darkness would be increased’.
يَحْيَى الْحَلَبِيُّ عَنِ الْمُثَنَّى عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلام) فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ كَأَنَّما أُغْشِيَتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ قِطَعاً مِنَ اللَّيْلِ مُظْلِماً قَالَ
أَ مَا تَرَى الْبَيْتَ إِذَا كَانَ اللَّيْلُ كَانَ أَشَدَّ سَوَاداً مِنْ خَارِجٍ فَلِذَلِكَ هُمْ يَزْدَادُونَ سَوَاداً.
