Hadith 43

Muhammad b. al-Hasan (rh) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Saffar narrated to us. He said: al-`Abbas b. Ma`ruf narrated to us from Muhammad b. Sinan from Ghiyath b. Ibrahim from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers (as). He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) said: You do not please the people with your wealth, so please them with your character.
- حدثنا محمد بن الحسن (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن الحسن الصفار، قال: حدثنا العباس بن معروف، عن محمد بن سنان، عن غياث بن إبراهيم، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن آبائه (عليهم السلام)، قال
قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): إنكم لن تسعوا الناس بأموالكم، فسعوهم بأخلاقكم (3).
