Hadith 458
Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. Ahmad b. al-Walid (ra) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Saffar narrated to us from Ibrahim b. Hashim from `Ali b. Mu`abbad from al-Husayn b. Khalid from Abi’l Hasan `Ali b. Musa al-Rida (as). He said
Looking at our offspring is worship. So, it was said to him: O son of the Messenger of Allah! Looking at the Imams from you is worship, or looking at any of the offspring of the Prophet (s)? So, he said: Rather, looking at any of the offspring of the Prophet (s) is worship.
2 - حدثنا محمد بن الحسن بن أحمد بن الوليد (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن الحسن الصفار، عن إبراهيم بن هاشم، عن علي بن معبد، عن الحسين بن خالد، عن أبي الحسن علي بن موسى الرضا (عليه السلام) قال
النظر إلى ذريتنا عبادة. فقيل له: يا بن رسول الله، النظر إلى الائمة منكم عبادة، أم النظر إلى جميع ذرية النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله)؟ فقال: بل النظر إلى جميع ذرية النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله) عبادة (1).

Hadith 459
Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakkil (ra) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Yahya al-`Attar narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Husayn b. Abi’l Khattab narrated to us. He said: Al-Nadr b. Shu`ayb narrated to us from Khalid b. al-Qalanisi from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers (as). He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) said: When I rise to the Praiseworthy Station (al-maqam al-mahmud), I will intercede for those who have committed major sins from my Nation; so, Allah will accept my intercession of them. By Allah, I will not intercede for those who harm my offspring.
3 - حدثنا محمد بن موسى بن المتوكل (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن يحيى العطار، قال: حدثنا محمد بن الحسين بن أبي الخطاب، قال: حدثنا النضر بن شعيب، عن خالد القلانسي، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن آبائه (عليهم السلام)، قال
قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): إذا قمت المقام المحمود تشفعت في أصحاب الكبائر من أمتي، فيشفعني الله فيهم، والله لا تشفعت فيمن آذى ذريتي (2).

Hadith 471
`Abdullah b. al-Nadr b. Sam`an al-Tamimi narrated to us. He said: Abu’l Qasim Ja`far b. Muhammad al-Makki narrated to us. He said: Abu’l Hasan `Abdulah b. Muhammad b. `Amr al-Harrani narrated to us. He said: Salih b. Ziyad narrated to us. He said: Abu `Uthman `Abdullah b. Maymun al-Sikri narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. Mu`iz al-Awadi narrated to us. He said: `Imran b. Salim narrated to us from Tawus al-Yamani. He said
`Ali b. al-Husayn the Master of Worshipers (as) used to supplicate with this supplication: My God! By Your glory, Your majesty, and Your greatness! If I had worshiped You forevermore, in the eternity of your lordship, with every hair and glance since I came into existence, with the worship and the thanks of all creatures, I would be lacking in the expression of my thanks for the smallest blessing that You have blessed me with. Even if I suffered with the iron of this world in my teeth and with its dust smeared on the lashes of my eyes, and I wept as much blood and pus as there is water in the oceans of the heavens and the Earth out of humility before you, that would only be a little from the much that I owe you. Even if thereafter, You, my God, were to punish me with the punishment of all creatures, and the Fire overcame my form and my body, and I filled the levels of Hell to the point where no one was punished except me, and there would be no firewood in Hell but me, that would only be a little from the much that is due for me from Your punishment.
15 - حدثنا عبد الله بن النضر بن سمعان التميمي، قال: حدثنا أبو القاسم جعفر بن محمد المكي، قال: حدثنا أبو الحسن عبد الله بن محمد بن عمرو الحراني، قال: حدثنا صالح بن زياد، قال: حدثنا أبو عثمان عبد الله بن ميمون (2) السكري، قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن معز (3) الاودي، قال: حدثنا عمران بن سليم، عن طاوس اليماني، قال
كان علي بن الحسين سيد العابدين (عليه السلام) يدعو بهذا الدعاء: إلهي وعزتك وجلالك وعظمتك، لو أني منذ بدعت فطرتي من أول الدهر عبدتك دوام خلود ربوبيتك بكل شعرة وكل طرفة عين سرمد الابد بحمد الخلائق وشكرهم أجمعين، لكنت مقصرا في بلوغ أداء شكر أخفى نعمة من نعمك علي، ولو أني كربت معادن حديد الدنيا بأنيابي، وحرثت أرضها بأشفار عيني، وبكيت من خشيتك مثل بحور السماوات والارضين دما وصديدا، لكان ذلك قليلا في كثير ما يجب من حقك علي، ولو أنك إلهي عذبتني بعد ذلك بعذاب الخلائق أجمعين، وعظمت للنار خلقي وجسمي، وملات جهنم وأطباقها مني حتى لا يكون في النار معذب غيري، ولا يكون لجهنم حطب سواي، لكان ذلك بعد لك علي قليلا في كثير ما استوجبته من عقوبتك (4).

Hadith 472
Muhammad b. Ahmad al-Sinani (ra) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Abi `Abdillah al-Asadi al-Kufi narrated to us. He said: Musa b. `Imran al-Nakha`i narrated to us from his uncle al-Husayn b. Yazid from `Ali b. Salim from his father from Sa`d b. Turayf from Sa`id b. Jubayr from Ibn `Abbas. He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) said to `Ali (as): O `Ali! You are the Imam of the Muslims, the Commander of the Faithful, the Leader of the shining believers, the Proof of Allah after me over the whole creation, the Master of Deputies, and the Deputy of the Master of Prophets. O `Ali! When I was taken up to the seventh heaven, and from there to the Lote Tree of the Furthest Boundary (sidratul muntaha), and from there to the veils of light, my Lord ennobled me with His whisper. He said to me: “O Muhammad!” I said: “I am here at Your service, my Lord, may You be glorified and exalted.” He said: “Surely, `Ali is the Imam of My friends, the light of whoever obeys Me, and the word that the pious stick to. Whoever obeys him has obeyed Me, and whoever disobeys Him has disobeyed Me. So, give him glad tidings of that.” So, `Ali (as) said: O Messenger of Allah! Is my omen such that I would be mentioned there?! So, he said: Yes, `Ali. So, thank your Lord. So, `Ali (as) fell in prostration, thanking Allah for what He had blessed him with. So, the Messenger of Allah (s) said to him: Raise your head, `Ali, for surely, Allah has boasted about you to His angels.
16 - حدثنا محمد بن أحمد السناني (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن أبي عبد الله الاسدي الكوفي، قال: حدثنا موسى بن عمران النخعي، عن عمه الحسين بن يزيد، عن علي بن سالم، عن أبيه، عن سعد بن طريف، عن سعيد بن جبير، عن ابن عباس، قال
قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) لعلي (عليه السلام): يا علي، أنت إمام المسلمين، وأمير المؤمنين، وقائد الغر المحجلين، وحجة الله بعدي على الخلق أجمعين، وسيد الوصيين ووصيي سيد النبيين. يا علي، إنه لما عرج بي إلى السماء السابعة، ومنها إلى سدرة المنتهى، ومنها إلى حجب النور، وأكرمني ربي جل جلاله بمناجاته، قال لي: يا محمد؟ قلت: لبيك ربي وسعديك، تباركت وتعاليت، قال: إن عليا إمام أوليائي، ونور لمن أطاعني، وهو الكلمة التي ألزمتها المتقين، من أطاعه أطاعني، ومن عصاه عصاني، فبشره بذلك. فقال علي (عليه السلام): يا رسول الله، بلغ من قدري حتى إني اذكر هناك! فقال: نعم يا علي، فاشكر ربك، فخر علي (عليه السلام) ساجدا شكرا لله على ما أنعم به عليه، فقال له رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): ارفع رأسك يا علي، فإن الله قد باهى بك ملائكته (1).
