hadith 1098

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus from Mu’awiyah ibn Wahab who has said the following

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Among the tragedies for religion is envy, feeling self- important and proud.’”

5ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ

قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) آفَةُ الدِّينِ الْحَسَدُ وَالْعُجْبُ وَالْفَخْرُ.

12. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn Sinan from al-‘Ala’ ibn Fudayl from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following

“Abu Ja’far (a.s.) would say, ‘Dignify your people, honor them and do not be aggressive toward each other, do not harm each other and do not be jealous of each other. You must never be miserly and always be sincere servants of Allah.’”

12ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ

كَانَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) يَقُولُ عَظِّمُوا أَصْحَابَكُمْ وَوَقِّرُوهُمْ وَلا يَتَجَهَّمُ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضاً وَلا تَضَارُّوا وَلا تَحَاسَدُوا وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْبُخْلَ كُونُوا عِبَادَ الله الْمُخْلَصِينَ.

5-30 Ahmad ibn Harun al-Fami - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Muhammad ibn Ja’far ibn Bot’tat quoted on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahboob, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Isa, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Isma’il ibn Bazi’a that he had heard Al-Ridha (MGB) say, “

Wealth cannot be accumulated unless through five deeds: extreme jealousy; high aspirations; a lot of greed; cutting off ties of kinship; and preferring this world to the Hereafter.”

5-30 حدثنا أحمد بن هارون الفامي قال: حدثنا محمد بن جعفر بن بطة قال: حدثنا محمد بن علي بن محبوب، عن محمد بن عيسى، عن محمد بن إسماعيل بن بزيع قال

قال: سمعت الرضا عليه السلام يقول:لا يجتمع المال إلا بخصال خمس: ببخل شديد، وأمل طويل، وحرص غالب، وقطيعة الرحم، وإيثار الدنيا على الآخرة

28-13 Ahmad ibn Harun al-Fami - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Muhammad ibn Ja’far ibn Botta quoted on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahboob, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Isa, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Isma’il ibn Bazee’

“I heard Al-Ridha (s) say, ‘Wealth cannot be accumulated unless it is a result of five deeds: extreme jealousy, great aspirations, a lot of greed, cutting off ties of kinship, and preferring this world to the Hereafter.’”

13 - حَدَّثَنا أَحْمَدِ بْنِ هارُون الفامي رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بطة قالَ‏مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِى بْنِ مَحْبُوب عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى، عَن مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ بزيع قالَ

سَمِعتُ الرِّضا عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ يَقُولُ لا يَجْتَمِعُ الْمَالُ إِلا بِخِصَالٍ خَمْسٍ بِبُخْلٍ شَدِيدٍ وَأَمَلٍ طَوِيلٍ وَحِرْصٍ غَالِبٍ وَقَطِيعَةِ الرَّحِمِ وَإِيثَارِ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى الآْخِرَةِ.

We were told by Muhammed bin Hasan bin Ahmad bin Waleed, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said: We were told by Hasan ibn Muhammed bin Isma’eel al-Qurashi, that he said: We were told by Ahmad bin Muhammed bin Isa, from Hasan bin Ali bin Faddal, from Abu’l-Hasan al-Rida, peace be upon him, that he said: I was told by my father, from his fathers, from Ali, peace be upon them, that he said

The Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, said: It has dropped unto you the disease of the nations before you: hatred and jealousy.

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله: دب إليكم داء الأمم قبلكم: البغضاء والحسد.

78 - حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الحَسَن بْنِ أَحْمَدِ بْنِ الوَلِيد رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا الحَسَن بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيل القُرَشِي قالَ: حَدَّثَنا أَحْمَدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الحَسَن بْنِ عَلِىِّ بْنِ فضال، عَن أَبي الحَسَن عَلِىِّ بْنِ مُوسَى الرِّضا عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قالَ: حَدَّثَني أَبي، عَن آبائِهِ، عَن عَلِيِ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قالَ

قالَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ دَبَّ إِلَيْكُمْ دَاءُ الأُمَمِ قَبْلَكُمْ الْبَغْضَاءُ وَالْحَسَدُ.
