“There is comfort in death for a believer because he departs the world from which he fears, and he rushes towards what he expects and hopes for.”

Imam al-Kazim (AS) said, ‘A believer is like the two sides of a balance: the more faith he has the more ordeal he sustains, so that he meets Allah, the Exalted, without any sins.

Hadith.457 - Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) said: "When a believer enters their grave, it is proclaimed: 'Behold, your first gift is Paradise! And the first gift for those who followed your funeral procession is forgiveness.'"

Hadith.1684 - Imam (as) said: “Any believer who extends kindness to his fellow believer has indeed extended that kindness to the Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace be upon him and his family)."

The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'Verily Allah likes it for a believing servant of His, when he goes to visit a fellow brother, to get ready and adorn himself.

Imam Zayn al-Abidin (AS) said, ‘The signs of a believer are five: piety [even] when in seclusion, giving charity in spite of lack, patience in the face of calamity, clemency when angered, and truthfulness in spite of fear.

Imam al-Sadiq (AS) was once asked how a believer may ascertain that he is indeed a believer, to which he replied, 'Through submission to Allah and satisfaction with whatever source of happiness or discontent that comes his way.

Imam Ali (AS) said regarding the arbitration, ‘These [people] say, ‘There is no need for government! Indeed there has to be a ruler under whose rule the believer toils and the wicked seeks to make merry.

The Prophet (SAWA) said, ‘The best thing given to a believer is good character, and the worst thing given to a man is a corrupt heart in a beautiful figure.

Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, ‘When the believer excels in his good deed, Allah will enhance each one of his good deeds to equal seven hundred, for Allah, Blessed and most High, says: “Allah enhances severalfold whomever He wishes.”

Allah keeps a believer away from what He dislikes even if he (the believer) longs for it, just as a man keeps a camel away from a flock it does not belong to.

Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: “A believer is not immune from the following: 1- Another jealous believer, this being the easiest problem, 2- A hypocrite trying to find his faults, 3- An enemy who fights with him, 4- Satan who tries to corrupt him.”

“God is indeed zealous about believing men and women. Believers should also be zealous, since the heart of anyone who is not zealous is upside down.”

Archangel Gabriel descended to the Prophet (a.s) and said: O Muhammad! Your Lord says: One who humiliates My believing servant confronts Me with war. My believing servant has never drawn closer to Me with anything better than fulfilling the obligatory acts; and indeed, he performs the supererogatory acts for Me until I love him. So, when I love him, I become his ears that he hears with, his eyes that he sees with, his hands that he grasps with and his legs that he walks with. There is nothing I hesitate in doing like in taking the life of My believing servant. He dislikes death and I dislike causing him pain. Yet amongst the believers there are some who will not be well except by destitution and if I were to surround them with wealth, it would be evil for them; and amongst them are some who are not well except in affluence and if I were to surround them with poverty, it would be evil for them. Sometimes, My servant asks Me to fulfill a need (he has), but I deny him because of what is best for him.

Beware from destroying your manners and changing them, maintain one tongue. A man should control his tongue because the tongue is obstinate with its master. By Allāh, I do not find that fear of Allāh benefits a man who practises it unless he controls his tongue. Certainly the tongue of a believer is at the back of his heart while the heart of a hypocrite is at the back of his tongue; because, when a believer intends to say anything, he thinks it over in his mind. If it is good he discloses it, but if it is bad he lets it remain concealed. While a hypocrite speaks whatever comes to his tongue, without knowing what is in his favour and what goes against him.

Imam Baqir (a.s) said: “A believer is so honored by God that God will even grant him Heaven with everything in it if he asks for it, without anything being reduced from God's Dominion; but God will not grant him even one foot of this world if he asks for it. An infidel is so despised by God that God will even grant him this world with everything in it i f he asks for it without anything being reduced from God's Dominion; but God will not grant him even one foot of Heaven if he asks for it. God will attend to His believing servants through calamities, and instruct them to abstain from this world just as a doctor instructs his patients to abstain from things.”

“Whoever bothers My believing servants has declared war against Me. Whoever honors My believing servants will be secure from My Wrath. If only one believer and one just leader remain on the Earth from the East to the West from all My creatures, that will be sufficient for Me to maintain the heavens and the Earth, and I will need none of what I have created on the Earth. I will establish a companion from their faith for them such that they never feel they need anyone else.”

Indeed a believer is one who when angered, his anger would not lead him away from the right. A believer is one who when pleased, his pleasure would not lead him into the wrong. A believer is one who when in power, his power would not lead him to acquire what doesn’t rightfully belong to him.’”

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, has said, “Whoever humiliates My believing servant has asked Me for a fight. I have not hesitated as much as I did at the time of the death of My believing servant. I love to meet him and he dislikes death. I then divert it from him. He prays to Me in a matter and I answer his prayer in what is better for him.”’

Hadith.1368 - Imam (as) said regarding the words of Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic: "Indeed, good deeds remove bad deeds" (Surah Hud 11:114). He (as) explained, "The night prayer of a believer erases the sins committed during the day."
