Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, ‘The believing woman is scarcer than the believing man, and the believing man is scarcer than red sulphur, and who from among you has ever seen red sulphur?!

Imam Ali (AS) said, Poverty is beneficial for the believer, and gives him comfort from the jealousy of the neighbours, the flattery of the brothers and the domination of the ruler.

The Prophet (SAWA) said, ‘Allah feeds His believing servant with ordeals like a mother feeds her child milk.

Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, ‘The world is the prison of the believer, the grave is his fortress and Paradise is his final abode. The world is the Paradise of the disbeliever, the grave is his prison and the Fire is his final abode.

Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: “Whenever a zealous Muslim observes that a forbidden act takes place, it suffices for him to know that God is aware of his disapproval and displeasure.”

The Prophet (SAWA) said, ‘Allah says, ‘Were it not for My believing servant, I would have tied a headband of jewels around the head of the disbeliever.

Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, ‘The believer would wish that none of his supplications were answered in this world when he sees his beautiful and great rewards [in the Hereafter].

Imam Baqir (a.s) said: “A believer will suffer from calamities in this world according to his religiousness.”

Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: “Just seeing one's enemies engaged in committing sins is enough of a Divine Help for any believer.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Selling above fair price to a believing person is unlawful.’”

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “When Allah resurrects a believer from his grave, He will also resurrect a person of his like, which will walk ahead of him. Whenever the believer will face a difficulty or fear on the Day of Judgment, this look-like will say, ‘Do not be sorrowful or fearful. There are glad-tidings for you from Allah’. It will continuously congratulate him till they reach the presence of Allah. His accounting of deeds will be easy and he will be ordered to enter Paradise and that look-alike will follow him. He will say to that creature, ‘Peace be upon you, for you were there with me in my grave and you are such a nice thing to come out of my grave that you are continuously giving me happiness since the time I saw you. Tell me who are you?’ It will reply, ‘I am the happiness that you gave to a believing brother in the world. Allah created me of that to give you glad-tidings’.”

I asked Abu 'Abd Allah (a.s) concerning the right of a believer on a (fellow) believer. He said: The rights of a believer are not that simple. If I were to relate them to you, you would find yourselves neglectful concerning the religious duties. When a believer shall come forth from his grave, a form will emerge with him from his grave and say to him, 'Enjoy the honor and happiness of Allah; Allah gives you the glad tidings of goodness.' Then it shall go along with him giving him similar glad tidings along the way. According to another series of narrators, the Imam continued: When he comes to something terrifying, the form shall say, 'this is not for you,' and when it comes to something good, it shall say, 'this is for you.' Thus it will continue with him, comforting him from what he fears and giving him glad tidings of what he desires until it stands with him before Allah [M.G]. When he is instructed to enter Paradise, the form shall say to him, 'Enjoy Paradise, for Allah [M.G] has instructed you to enter it.' He shall say to it, 'Who are you? May Allah have mercy upon you, for you gave me glad tidings when I came forth from my grave and you accompanied me in my journey and have informed me of good news from my Lord.' 'I am the happiness that you brought to your (believing) brothers in the world,' it shall reply, 'I was made from that joy so that I may help you and offer you company in your loneliness.'

he was asked: "Why is the believer sometimes the sharpest in behavior?" Imam (as) replied: "Because the honor of the Qur'an is in his heart, and pure faith is in his chest. He is a servant obedient to Allah (swt) and His Messenger (sw), and he is truthful." Imam (as) was asked: "Why is the believer sometimes the most stingy?" Imam (as) replied: "Because he earns his sustenance from lawful means, and seeking lawful sustenance is difficult. Therefore, he dislikes parting with it, knowing how precious it is. But if he is generous, he only spends it where it is appropriate." Imam (as) was asked: "Why is the believer sometimes the most desirous in marriage?" Imam (as) replied: "To protect his chastity from unlawful relations and so that his desires do not sway him in one direction or another. Thus, when he attains what is lawful, he suffices with it and feels no need for anything else." Imam (as) also said: "The strength of the believer is in his heart. Do you not see that he may appear physically weak and thin, yet he stands in prayer at night and fasts during the day?"

Hadith.2159 - Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) said: "Fulfilling the need of a believer is better than performing Tawaf, and Tawaf, and Tawaf—up to ten times."

Hadith.249 - Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) entered the bathhouse, the bathhouse attendant offered to clear it for him. Imam (as) said: 'No, a believer is light in their burdens.’

Hadith.5887 - Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) said: "Sufficient is it for a believer as support from Allah (swt) to see his enemy engaging in acts of disobedience to Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic."

Hadith.513 - Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) said: "If patience had not been created before trials, the believer would have shattered like an egg striking a rock."

Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: “A man who is scared, jealous, and greedy is not a believer.”

Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: “You are considered to be a good-doer as long as you are quiet, but as soon as you start to talk, you will be recorded as a good-doer or a wicked person.”

Hadith.1728 - The Messenger of Allah (swt), peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said: "The ground of the Day of Resurrection will be fire, except for the shade provided for the believer, for his charity will shield him."
