hadith 226
7. It is narrated from Imam abu Ja‘far (a.s.) who said when he was asked
“Is it permissible to say Allah is a thing?” “Yes, it is permissible because it excludes Him from being ignored altogether and from being analogized or considered similar to the creatures.”
7ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ قَالَ
سُئِلَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) أَ يَجُوزُ أَنْ يُقَالَ إِنَّ الله شَيْ‏ءٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ يُخْرِجُهُ مِنَ الْحَدَّيْنِ حَدِّ التَّعْطِيلِ وَحَدِّ التَّشْبِيهِ.

1. It was narrated to me by Ali b. Ahmad from his father from his grandfather Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah from his father from Muhammad b. Khalid and Muhammad b. Sinan from al-Muffadhal b. Umar from al-Sadiq (a.s.) who said
“The Almighty Allah will cover with His Own cover one who goes to bathroom wrapping a cloth around himself.”
حَدَّثَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنِ الْمُفَضَّلِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ الصَّادِقِ ع قَالَ
مَنْ دَخَلَ الْحَمَّامَ بِمِئْزَرٍ سَتَرَهُ اللَّهُ بِسِتْرِهِ.

And whatever is narrated from Kulayb Al-Asadi, I have narrated it from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Sad ibn Abdullah, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, from Muhammad ibn Khalid, from Faḍalah ibn Ayyub, from Kulayb ibn Muawiyah Al-Asadi Al-Ṣaydawi.
و ما كان فيه، عن كليب الأسديّ فقد رويته عن أبي- رضي اللّه عنه- عن سعد بن عبد اللّه، عن أحمد بن محمّد بن عيسى، عن محمّد بن خالد، عن فضالة بن أيّوب، عن كليب بن معاوية الأسديّ الصيداويّ‌.

2. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Khalid and al-Husayn ibn Sa’id from al-Nadr ibn Suwayd from al-Qasim ibn Sulayman from Jarrah al-Mada’ini from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Envy consumes belief just as fire consumes firewood.”
2ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ وَالْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ جَرَّاحٍ الْمَدَائِنِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِنَّ الْحَسَدَ يَأْكُلُ الإيمَانَ كَمَا تَأْكُلُ النَّارُ الْحَطَبَ.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid and Al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn abu Hamzah from abu Basir who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that it is permissible to use for Wudu’ the water from which pigeons, chickens or birds have drunk.”
2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ وَالْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
فَضْلُ الْحَمَامَةِ وَالدَّجَاجِ لاَ بَأْسَ بِهِ وَالطَّيْرِ.

hadith 1387
1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn Khalid from Sa‘d ibn Sa‘d from Safwan who has said the following
“Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said, ‘If you do not know how many Rak‘at you have performed and your guess does not settle anywhere, perform your Salah (prayer) again.’”
1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
إِنْ كُنْتَ لاَ تَدْرِي كَمْ صَلَّيْتَ وَلَمْ يَقَعْ وَهْمُكَ عَلَى شَيْ‏ءٍ فَأَعِدِ الصَّلاَةَ.

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid, from al-Qasim ibn Yahya, from his grandfather, al- Hassan ibn Rashid, from abu Basir who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Eat citron after food; because Ale Muhammad (SAW), do so.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ جَدِّهِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
كُلُوا الْأُتْرُجَّ بَعْدَ الطَّعَامِ فَإِنَّ آلَ مُحَمَّدٍ ( عليهم السلام ) يَفْعَلُونَ ذَلِكَ .

hadith 1161
1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from Sharif ibn Sabiq from al-Fadl ibn abu Qurrah from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Dimwittedness is a bad attitude. Such an individual intimidates those below him and is humble (inferior) before those above him.’”
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ شَرِيفِ بْنِ سَابِقٍ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ أَبِي غُرَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِنَّ السَّفَهَ خُلُقُ لَئِيمٍ يَسْتَطِيلُ عَلَى مَنْ هُوَ دُونَهُ وَيَخْضَعُ لِمَنْ [ هُوَ ] فَوْقَهُ.

8. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama’a from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“The messenger of Allah has said, ‘Of the most wicked and evil servants (of Allah) are those with whom association is disliked due to their use of foul language.”
8ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) إِنَّ مِنْ شَرِّ عِبَادِ الله مَنْ تُكْرَهُ مُجَالَسَتُهُ لِفُحْشِهِ.

5. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from Isma’il ibn Mehran from Sayf ibn ‘Amirah from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“If one looks with anger to his parents when they are unjust to him, Allah will not accept any of his prayers.”
5ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنْ سَيْفِ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
مَنْ نَظَرَ إِلَى أَبَوَيْهِ نَظَرَ مَاقِتٍ وَهُمَا ظَالِمَانِ لَهُ لَمْ يَقْبَلِ الله لَهُ صَلاةً.

14. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from Aban from Yahya ibn abu al-‘Ala’ who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that al-Hassan and al-Husayn, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, wore the ring on their left hands.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
كَانَ الْحَسَنُ وَ الْحُسَيْنُ ( عليهما السلام ) يَتَخَتَّمَانِ فِي يَسَارِهِمَا .

28. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father from abu Talib from Yunus ibn Bakkar from his father from Jabir from abu Ja‘far (a.s.) who has said the following.
“If they had done what they had been advised to do (acknowledge Ali’s Leadership with Divine Authority), it would have been for their good and to strengthen their faith.” (4:66)
28ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ بَكَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ ابي جعفر (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ
فَعَلُوا ما يُوعَظُونَ بِهِ فِي عَلِيٍّ لَكانَ خَيْراً لَهُمْ.

416. A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Ali Bin Asbaat, from Ibrahim Bin Muhammad Bin Humraan, from his father, who has narrated the following
Abu Abdullah (asws) has said: ‘The one who travels or gets married whilst the moon is in the Scorpio will never see the goodness’.
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حُمْرَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلام) قَالَ
مَنْ سَافَرَ أَوْ تَزَوَّجَ وَ الْقَمَرُ فِي الْعَقْرَبِ لَمْ يَرَ الْحُسْنَى.

2. Ahmad ibn Khalid and Muhammad ibn Yahya have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa all from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Hisham ibn Salim from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“When you love a man, tell him about it; it strengthens your love for one another.”
2ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى جَمِيعاً عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِذَا أَحْبَبْتَ رَجُلاً فَأَخْبِرْهُ بِذَلِكَ فَإِنَّهُ أَثْبَتُ لِلْمَوَدَّةِ بَيْنَكُمَا.

22. A number of our people has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father in mursal manner (Mursalan) from abu Ja‘far (a.s.) who has said the following.
“Do not take anyone closely and intimately between your selves and Allah lest you will not be believers. Every means, ancestral and relative relations and intimacy, innovations and doubts will be cut off except for what is established in the holy Quran.”
22ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ مُرْسَلاً قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) لا تَتَّخِذُوا مِنْ دُونِ الله وَلِيجَةً فَلا تَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ فَإِنَّ كُلَّ سَبَبٍ وَنَسَبٍ وَقَرَابَةٍ وَوَلِيجَةٍ وَبِدْعَةٍ وَشُبْهَةٍ مُنْقَطِعٌ إِلا مَا أَثْبَتَهُ الْقُرْآنُ.

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Khalid from Muhammad ibn Ali from Muhammad ibn al-Fudayl from Musa ibn Bakr who has said the following
“The first good thing that a father can do to his children is to give them good names. You must find a good name for (each of) your children.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفُضَيْلِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
أَوَّلُ مَا يَبَرُّ الرَّجُلُ وَلَدَهُ أَنْ يُسَمِّيَهُ بِاسْمٍ حَسَنٍ فَلْيُحْسِنْ أَحَدُكُمُ اسْمَ وَلَدِهِ .

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from al-Hassan ibn Mahbub from Shu’ayb al-‘Aqar Qufi who has said the following
“I heard Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) saying to his companions, ‘Be pious before Allah and be virtuous brothers who love each other for the sake of Allah, and maintain good relations leniently. Visit one another, meet and speak of our cause and preserve it.’”
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ الْعَقَرْقُوفِيِّ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ لأصْحَابِهِ اتَّقُوا الله وَكُونُوا إِخْوَةً بَرَرَةً مُتَحَابِّينَ فِي الله مُتَوَاصِلِينَ مُتَرَاحِمِينَ تَزَاوَرُوا وَتَلاقَوْا وَتَذَاكَرُوا أَمْرَنَا وَأَحْيُوهُ.

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father from ibn Sinan from ‘Abd Allah ibn Muskan from Salih al-Niliy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, hates one’s excessive sleeping and passing time without work.’”
3- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُسْكَانَ وَصَالِحٍ النِّيلِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُبْغِضُ كَثْرَةَ النَّوْمِ وَكَثْرَةَ الْفَرَاغِ.

5. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Khalid from Muhammad ibn Ali from ‘Umar ibn ‘Abd al-’Aziz from a man from Jamil ibn Darraj and others who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘You should hasten (take the initiative) to teach Hadith to your children before al-Murji’ah (name of a sect) takes control over their mind and belief.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ جَمِيلِ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ وَ غَيْرِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
بَادِرُوا أَوْلَادَكُمْ بِالْحَدِيثِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَسْبِقَكُمْ إِلَيْهِمُ الْمُرْجِئَةُ .
