3. Ali has narrated from his father from Hammad from Hariz from Zurarah who has said the following
“One of the two Imam (a.s.), has said, ‘If you perform Salah (prayer) behind an Imam whom you follow then remain silent and say Tasbih (Allah is free of all defects) to yourself only.’”
3ـ عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَحَدِهِمَا (عَلَيْهِما الْسَّلام) قَالَ
إِذَا كُنْتَ خَلْفَ إِمَامٍ تَأْتَمُّ بِهِ فَأَنْصِتْ وَسَبِّحْ فِي نَفْسِكَ.

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad from Aban ibn Th’alabah who has narrated the following
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘A part is one-tenth because the mountains were ten and the birds were four.’”
3- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ تَغْلِبَ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) الْجُزْءُ وَاحِدٌ مِنْ عَشَرَةٍ لأنَّ الْجِبَالَ عَشَرَةٌ وَالطُّيُورَ أَرْبَعَةٌ.

4. Ali has narrated from Muhammad ibn 'Isa from Yunus from Hammad from abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) who said
'I heard him say, “There is nothing except that is has a Book or Sunnah (prophetic tradition)”'.
4ـ عَلِيٌّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ شَيْ‏ءٍ إِلا وَفِيهِ كِتَابٌ أَوْ سُنَّةٌ.

2. Ali has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a blind man who leads a people in Salah (prayer) and is not facing al-Qiblah (al-Ka‘bah). He (the Imam) said, ‘
Only he, but not they, performs again; they had made the effort (about al-Qiblah (al-Ka‘bah)).’”
2ـ عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) فِي الأعْمَى يَؤُمُّ الْقَوْمَ وَهُوَ عَلَى غَيْرِ الْقِبْلَةِ قَالَ

247. Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr, from Hammaad Bin Usmaan who said
I recited: “[5:95] as two just persons among you shall judge” in the presence of Abu Abdullah (asws), so he (asws) said: ‘Two just ones among you – this is from what the scribes have erred with regards to it’

20. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Salih ibn abu Hammad from al-Hajjal from those whom he has mentioned (in his book) who has said the following
“Once I asked one of the two Imam (a.s.) about the words of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy: ‘It has been revealed in plain Arabic.’ (26:195) The Imam said, ‘It (the Holy Quran) explains the languages but the languages do not explain it.’”
20ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ أَبِي حَمَّادٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّالِ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَحَدِهِمَا (عَلَيهِما السَّلام) قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ قَوْلِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِلِسانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ مُبِينٍ قَالَ يُبِينُ الألْسُنَ وَلا تُبِينُهُ الألْسُنُ.

إِنَّهُ لَيُعْجِبُنِي أَنْ يَكُونَ فِي الْبَيْتِ مُصْحَفٌ يَطْرُدُ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهِ الشَّيَاطِينَ.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Hariz who has narrated the following
“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘When a man dies and leaves behind sons, the eldest son receives the sword, coat of arms, the ring and his (holy) book. If something happens to him then such items belong to the eldest son.’”
1- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِذَا هَلَكَ الرَّجُلُ فَتَرَكَ بَنِينَ فَلِلأكْبَرِ السَّيْفُ وَالدِّرْعُ وَالْخَاتَمُ وَالْمُصْحَفُ فَإِنْ حَدَثَ بِهِ حَدَثٌ فَلِلأكْبَرِ مِنْهُمْ.

[3/-] Tafsir al-Qummi: My father from Hammad from Hariz from Abi Abdillah عليه السلام that he (i.e. the Imam) recited: “Ihdina l-Sirata l-Mustaqim Sirata Man An’amta Alayhim Ghayri l-Maghdhub Alayhim wa Ghayr al-Dhalin”. He (the Imam) said
The Maghdhub Alayhim (those angered upon) are the Nussab (i.e. haters of the Ahl al-Bayt) while the Dhalin (those astray) are the Jews and Christians

[1/1551] al-Kafi: Ali from his father from Hammad from Hariz from Abi Abdillah عليه السلام who said
The Qur’an is the covenant of Allah to His creatures, it is incumbent therefore on a Muslim man to look into his covenant and that he recite fifty verses from it every day

1. Ali has narrated from his father from Hammad from Hariz from Abi ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“The Holy Quran is a covenant of Allah with His creatures. A Muslim must look at his covenant and read fifty verses every day.”
1ـ عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
الْقُرْآنُ عَهْدُ الله إِلَى خَلْقِهِ فَقَدْ يَنْبَغِي لِلْمَرْءِ الْمُسْلِمِ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ فِي عَهْدِهِ وَأَنْ يَقْرَأَ مِنْهُ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ خَمْسِينَ آيَةً.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad from al-Husayn ibn al-Mukhtar from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Allah who has said the following
“Once I asked Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) ‘Can I read the Holy Quran in one night?’ The Imam said, ‘I do not like your reading it in less than a month’s time.’”

قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) أَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ قَالَ لا يُعْجِبُنِي أَنْ تَقْرَأَهُ فِي أَقَلَّ مِنْ شَهْرٍ.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not harmful if one reads al-Quran in a bathhouse if he does it for the sake of Allah, but not to find out how his voice is.’”

5. Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Hammad from Rib‘iy from Fudayl form abu ’Abdallah (a.s.) who has said the following
about the words of Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High. “It is a Dhikr for you and for your people and you all will be asked questions.’ (43:44) The Imams (a.s.)said, “The Holy Quran is the ’Dhikr’ and we are the one who will be asked questions.”
5ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ عَنِ الْفُضَيْلِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي قَوْلِ الله تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى وَإِنَّهُ لَذِكْرٌ لَكَ وَلِقَوْمِكَ وَسَوْفَ تُسْئَلُونَ قَالَ
الذِّكْرُ الْقُرْآنُ وَنَحْنُ قَوْمُهُ وَنَحْنُ الْمَسْئُولُونَ.

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about a man who reads (verses) Sajdah (prostration) in the last Surah (chapter). He (the Imam) said, ‘
He must perform Sajdah (prostration), then stand up, read al-Fatihah al-Kitab, then perform Ruku‘ (bowing down on one’s knees) and Sajdah (prostration).”’
5ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَقْرَأُ بِالسَّجْدَةِ فِي آخِرِ السُّورَةِ قَالَ
يَسْجُدُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَقْرَأُ فَاتِحَةَ الْكِتَابِ ثُمَّ يَرْكَعُ وَيَسْجُدُ.

6. Muhammad ibn Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from RibIsma‘il ibn ‘Abdallah from abu Ja‘far (a.s.) about the words of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Gracious, “Had they followed the Laws of the Old and New Testaments and what was revealed to them from their Lord,. .” (5:66) The Imam (a.s.) said
“It refers to Wilaya, (Leadership with Divine Authority).”
6ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله عَنْ ابي جعفر (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي قَوْلِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ أَقامُوا التَّوْراةَ وَالانْجِيلَ وَما أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ قَالَ
الْوَلايَةُ.

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about recitation on Friday when I perform Salah (prayer) alone of four Rak‘at. Can I recite aloud? He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, you can recite aloud.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Recite Surah (chapter) al-Jumu‘ah and al-Munafiqun on Friday.’”
5ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الْقِرَاءَةِ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ إِذَا صَلَّيْتُ وَحْدِي أَرْبَعاً أَجْهَرُ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ وَقَالَ اقْرَأْ بِسُورَةِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالْمُنَافِقِينَ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ.
