Hadith.1413 - Muhammad ibn Muslim narrated from Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) who said
"There is Qunoot (a supplication) in every two rak'ahs of the optional (supererogatory) and obligatory prayers."
1413 - وروى محمد بن مسلم عن أبي جعفر عليه السلام قال
" القنوت في كل ركعتين في التطوع والفريضة.

10. Aban has narrated from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘Prayers are said when a deceased is placed in his grave and the surface of the grave is raised above the ground by four fingers.’”
10ـ أَبَانٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
يُدْعَى لِلْمَيِّتِ حِينَ يُدْخَلُ حُفْرَتَهُ وَيُرْفَعُ الْقَبْرُ فَوْقَ الأرْضِ أَرْبَعَ أَصَابِعَ.

The Noble Prophet (a.s) said: “The reward of any Muslim who sits in his prayer chamber at dawn and remembers God untill the night is equal to the reward of one who goes on the holy pilgrimage (to God's House in Ka'ba). He shall be forgiven all his sins.”
قال النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله): أيما امرئ مسلم جلس في مصلاه الذي يصلي فيه الفجر يذكر الله حتى تطلع الشمس، كان له من الأجر كحاج بيت الله، وغفر له.

15. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad Ya‘qub ibn Yazid from Ziyad al-Qandiy from Durust from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“He (the Imam) (a.s.), has said, ‘There is Qunut (supplication after recitation in second Rak‘at) in every Salah (prayer); obligatory or optional.’” (Ahadith 13-15 are best explained in the form of fatwa.)

2. Abu Ali al-Ash’ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan ibn Yahya from Hariz from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about a man who performs al-Hajj for others: if he is required to say any particular words. He (the Imam) said, ‘He must mention him in places designated for acts of al-Hajj.’”
2ـ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
قُلْتُ لَهُ مَا يَجِبُ عَلَى الَّذِي يَحُجُّ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ قَالَ يُسَمِّيهِ فِي الْمَوَاطِنِ وَالْمَوَاقِفِ.

6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narratedfrom Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from abu Ayyub from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“Once I asked abu Ja’far (a.s.) about the words of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, ‘. . . but they did not ‘Istakanu (submit themselves to their Lord,) nor did they make themselves humble ( yatadarra’unY (23:76) the Imam said, ‘al-Tstikana, means humility and al-tadarru’ means raising both hands and begging for help from (Allah) with both hands.’”
6ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) عَنْ قَوْلِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَمَا اسْتَكانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَما يَتَضَرَّعُونَ قَالَ الإسْتِكَانَةُ هِيَ الْخُضُوعُ وَالتَّضَرُّعُ رَفْعُ الْيَدَيْنِ وَالتَّضَرُّعُ بِهِمَا.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from abu Ayyub from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following

1. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Abdillah b. Ja’far from Harun b. Muslim from Mas’ada b. Sadaqah from Ja’far b. Muhammad from his forefathers (a.s.) that
The Prophet (s.a.w.s.) who said: “The Almighty Allah has decreed Paradise for those youths who look at the mirror and praise Allah much.”
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مَسْعَدَهَ بْنِ صَدَقَهَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع أَنَّ النَّبِیَّ ص قَالَ

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Khalid from al-Nadr ibn al-Suwayd from Yahya al-Halabiy from ‘Amr ibn Hurayth who said
“Abu ’Abdillah (a.s.) said, ‘Perform two Rak‘at Salah (prayer) and ask Allah to choose for you what is good. By Allah, if a Muslim asks Allah to choose for him what is good, He certainly chooses for him as such.’”
1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) صَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَاسْتَخِرِ الله فَوَ الله مَا اسْتَخَارَ الله مُسْلِمٌ إِلاَّ خَارَ لَهُ الْبَتَّةَ.

27. Abu Ali al-Ash’ari has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan ibn Yahya from al-‘Ala’ ibn Razin from Muhammad ibn Muslim from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following
“Say, ‘O Lord, increase my sustenance, prolong my life, forgive my sins and make me of those whom You employ to support Your religion and do not replace me by others.’”
27 - أبو علي الأشعري، عن محمد بن عبد الجبار، عن صفوان بن يحيى، عن العلاء بن رزين، عن محمد بن مسلم، عن أبي جعفر (عليه السلام) قال
قل: " اللهم أوسع علي في رزقي وامدد لي في عمري واغفر لي ذنبي واجعلني ممن تنتصر به لدينك ولا تستبدل بي غيري ".

7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad from Hariz from Muhammad ibn Muslim and Zurara who have said the following
“Zurara has said, ‘Once we asked Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) how to plead before Allah for help?’ The Imam said, ‘Stretch your palms.’ We then asked, ‘How is seeking refuge?’ The Imam said, ‘Turn your palm to Ka’aba, and al-Tabattul is making gestures with your finger. Al-Tadarru ’ is the moving of fingers and al-‘Ibtihal is the stretching out of both hands.’”
7ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ وَزُرَارَةَ قَالا
قُلْنَا لأبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) كَيْفَ الْمَسْأَلَةُ إِلَى الله تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قَالَ تَبْسُطُ كَفَّيْكَ قُلْنَا كَيْفَ الإسْتِعَاذَةُ قَالَ تُفْضِي بِكَفَّيْكَ وَالتَّبَتُّلُ الإيمَاءُ بِالإصْبَعِ وَالتَّضَرُّعُ تَحْرِيكُ الإصْبَعِ وَالإبْتِهَالُ أَنْ تَمُدَّ يَدَيْكَ جَمِيعاً.

11. Ali has narrated from Harun ibn Muslim from Mas’adah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah has narrated from his ancestors, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, that the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘
Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, has assigned His angels to pray in favor of the fasting people. He (the Holy Prophet) has said, ‘ Jibril has informed me from his Lord who has said, “When I command My angels to pray in favor of someone, I do not leave their prayers without acceptance.’””
11ـ عَلِيٌّ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مَسْعَدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله عَنْ آبَائِهِ (عَلَيْهِم السَّلاَم) أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) قَالَ إِنَّ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَكَّلَ مَلائِكَتَهُ بِالدُّعَاءِ لِلصَّائِمِينَ وَقَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي جَبْرَئِيلُ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) عَنْ رَبِّهِ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَا أَمَرْتُ مَلائِكَتِي بِالدُّعَاءِ لأَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِي إِلاَّ اسْتَجَبْتُ لَهُمْ فِيهِ.

5. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Mahbub from al-‘Ala’ ibn Razin from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“I once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about the case of a man who slaughters an animal but he says Tasbih (Allah is free of all defects) or Takbir (Allah is great beyond description) or Tahlil, (no one deserves worship except Allah) or Tahmid, (all praise belongs to Allah). He (the Imam) said, ‘All these are names of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, and are not harmful.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ رَزِينٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ رَجُلٍ ذَبَحَ فَسَبَّحَ أَوْ كَبَّرَ أَوْ هَلَّلَ أَوْ حَمِدَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ قَالَ هَذَا كُلُّهُ مِنْ أَسْمَاءِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ .

12. Al-Husayn from Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from Hariz from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘When you want to have a son then at the time of your going to bed with your wife say, “O Lord, grant me a son, make him pious, without any deficiency or extra in his physical condition and make his consequences in goodness.’”
الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
إِذَا أَرَدْتَ الْوَلَدَ فَقُلْ عِنْدَ الْجِمَاعِ اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِي وَلَداً وَ اجْعَلْهُ تَقِيّاً لَيْسَ فِي خَلْقِهِ زِيَادَةٌ وَ لَا نُقْصَانٌ وَ اجْعَلْ عَاقِبَتَهُ إِلَى خَيْرٍ .

7. Al-Husayn Ibn Muhammad has narrated from Ahmad Ibn Ishaq from Sa'dan Ibn Muslim from Mu’awiyah Ibn ‘Ammar that Abu ‘Abdillah (al-Sadiq) (as) said
“Whenever my father had a need to be fulfilled, he would seek it to be fulfilled during the decline of the sun from its peak position (i.e. dhuhr time). When he intended to do this, he would first give something in charity, wear some perfume, go to the mosque, and then supplicate for his need as Allah willed."
7ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَعْدَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
كَانَ أَبِي إِذَا طَلَبَ الْحَاجَةَ طَلَبَهَا عِنْدَ زَوَالِ الشَّمْسِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ ذَلِكَ قَدَّمَ شَيْئاً فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهِ وَشَمَّ شَيْئاً مِنْ طِيبٍ وَرَاحَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ وَدَعَا فِي حَاجَتِهِ بِمَا شَاءَ الله.

4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Qasim ibn Yahya from his grandfather al-Hassan ibn Rashid from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘You must not hit the stumpers on their faces; they say Tasbih (Allah is free of all defects) with Tahmid, (all praise belongs to Allah).’ He (the narrator) has said that in another Hadith it is said, ‘You must not make burn marks on their faces.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ جَدِّهِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) لَا تَضْرِبُوا الدَّوَابَّ عَلَى وُجُوهِهَا فَإِنَّهَا تُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِ اللَّهِ .قَالَ وَ فِي حَدِيثٍ آخَرَ لَا تَسِمُوهَا فِي وُجُوهِهَا .

15. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from abu Ayyub from Muhammad ibn Muslim from one of the two Imams (a.s.) who has said the following
“On the balance there will be no other thing as heavy as asking from Allah al-Salat (favors) for the Holy Prophet and his family. A man will place his deeds on the balance and it will tilt. Then he will bring forth his deed of asking from Allah al-Salat for the Holy Prophet and his family to place on the balance and it will weigh heavy in his favor.”
15ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَحَدِهِمَا (عَلَيهِما السَّلام) قَالَ
مَا فِي الْمِيزَانِ شَيْ‏ءٌ أَثْقَلَ مِنَ الصَّلاةِ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَتُوضَعُ أَعْمَالُهُ فِي الْمِيزَانِ فَتَمِيلُ بِهِ فَيُخْرِجُ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) الصَّلاةَ عَلَيْهِ فَيَضَعُهَا فِي مِيزَانِهِ فَيَرْجَحُ بِهِ.

hadith 1344
Hadith.1352 - Al-'Ala' reported from Muhammad ibn Muslim, from one of the Imams (as), who said
"A man should not neglect to say at bedtime: 'I seek protection for myself, my descendants, my family, and my wealth with the complete words of Allah (swt) from every devil, harmful creature, and every envious eye.' This is what Archangel Jibril (as) used to protect Hasan and Hussain (as)."
1352 - وَ رَوَى اَلْعَلاَءُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَحَدِهِمَا عَلَيْهِمَا اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
«لاَ يَدَعِ اَلرَّجُلُ أَنْ يَقُولَ عِنْدَ مَنَامِهِ: أُعِيذُ نَفْسِي وَ ذُرِّيَّتِي وَ أَهْلَ بَيْتِي وَ مَالِي بِكَلِمَاتِ اَللَّهِ اَلتَّامَّاتِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَ هَامَّةٍ وَ مِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لاَمَّةٍ فَذَلِكَ اَلَّذِي عَوَّذَ بِهِ جَبْرَئِيلُ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ ، اَلْحَسَنَ وَ اَلْحُسَيْنَ عَلَيْهِمَا اَلسَّلاَمُ.

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) says, “The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, ‘A person who recites Laa ilaaha illallaah loudly is free. He crushes his sins with his feet and destroys them in the same way as dry leaves fall off from a tree’.”
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْحِمْیَرِیُّ قَالَ
حَدَّثَنِی أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَیْفٍ عَنْ أَخِیهِ عَلِیٍّ عَنْ أَبِیهِ سَیْفِ بْنِ عَمِیرَهَ عَنِ الصَّادِقِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ یَقُولُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ یَرْفَعُ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ فَیَفْرُغُ حَتَّی تَنَاثَرَتْ ذُنُوبُهُ تَحْتَ قَدَمَیْهِ کَمَا تَنَاثَرَ وَرَقُ الشَّجَرِ تَحْتَهَا.

5. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from his father from ‘Ubayd Allah ibn Yahya from a man from ‘Abd al-Hamid ibn Ghawwas al-Ta’I from Muhammad ibn Muslim from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“My grandfather would say, ‘You must pray and plead before Allah for help before the fall of misfortune; if a servant (of Allah) is prayerful and misfortune befalls him and he prays, it is then said, ‘It is a familiar voice,’ but if he does not pray and plead before Allah for help when misfortune befalls him, only then he prays, it then is asked, ‘Where have you been before this day?’”
5ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ الله بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ غَوَّاصٍ الطَّائِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
كَانَ جَدِّي يَقُولُ تَقَدَّمُوا فِي الدُّعَاءِ فَإِنَّ الْعَبْدَ إِذَا كَانَ دَعَّاءً فَنَزَلَ بِهِ الْبَلاءُ فَدَعَا قِيلَ صَوْتٌ مَعْرُوفٌ وَإِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ دَعَّاءً فَنَزَلَ بِهِ بَلاءٌ فَدَعَا قِيلَ أَيْنَ كُنْتَ قَبْلَ الْيَوْمِ.
