Among them Abul Husain Muhammad Ibn Ja’far Asadi:

Also a group has narrated from Harun bin Musa Talakbari from Abu Ali Muhammad bin Himam and he from Ja’far bin Muhammad bin Malik Kufi from Muhammad bin Ja’far bin Abdullah that Abu Nuaim Muhammad bin Ahmad Ansari has narrated the same lengthy tradition.

“This matter (deliverance) is not carried out except by the obscurest and youngest one of us.”

I heard Imam Ridha (a.s) say: Allah, the Mighty and the High did not send any prophet, but to prohibit wine, to confess in Bada from Almighty Allah and that He can do whatever He likes; and that He has advised the use of incense.

“If there are no people on the earth except two men, one of them must be al-Hujjah (Imam al-Mahdi).”

I heard Abi Abdullah (a.s) say: “The Imam will be unseen by the people. Then he will witness those who come for Hajj pilgrimage. He will see them, but they will not see him.”

“I owed five hundred Dinars to the holy location (office of Imam al-Mahdi (a.s.). I felt extremely depressed about it. I said to myself, “The stores that have bought was for five hundred thirty Dinars. I will set them aside for the holy location (office of Imam al-Mahdi (a.s.).” However I had not said anything in words. He wrote to Muhammad ibn Ja‘far, “Take possession of the stores from Muhammad ibn Harun as payment for the five hundred Dinars that he owed us.”

Some people asked me in the year two hundred and ninety to accept religious dues. I refused that request and wrote a letter, seeking instructions. The answer came, “In Ray is Muhammad Ibn Ja’far Arabi. He should deliver it to him, for he is from our men of trust.”

We heard Abi Abdullah (a.s) say: “It will not take place till two-third of the human population does not perish.” He was asked: “If two-third perishes, who will remain?” He replied: “Are you not satisfied that one-third will remain?”

I heard Abu Ja’far (a.s.) saying: “When the man of this matter (al-Qa’im) appears, he will receive (harm) from people like what the Prophet (sw) received, and more.”

“You still wait until you become like frightened goats that the butcher does not care on which of he puts his hand. You will be of no honor and no supporter, to whom you refer your affairs.” Have these traditions referred save to the disappearance of the imam of deliverance, who is the honor, with which the Shia are honored, and to the disappearance of the means (the deputies) between him and his Shia? Are the deputies not the supporters, whom the Shia refer their affairs to during the disappearance of their imam (as) to be delivered to the imam? By losing the imam and the means between them and their imam, the Shia become like the goats subjected to the test to be tried that which of them is to perish and which of them is to be saved. These are what I have in my mind of traditions concerning the disappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (aj), whereas there are so much many other traditions talking about the subject.

“Islam has begun strange and it will return strange as it has begun. Blessed are the strangers!” Abu Baseer said to him: “Please, explain to me what this means!” He said: “Al-Qa’im will invite to a new mission as the Prophet (S) has done.” The same was narrated by Abdul Wahid bin Abdullah from the previous narrators from Muhammad bin Sinan from al-Husayn bin al-Mukhtar from Abu Baseer from Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq (as).

“Al-Fuqada’ are persons, who will be missed in their beds and in the morning they will be found in Mecca. It is they, who are concerned by this Qur’anic verse, ‘Wherever you are, Allah will bring you all together.’ They are al-Qa’im’s companions.”

“Surely, the night of power (Lailatul Qadr) occurs every year. In this night, the affairs of that year descend. For this affair, there are masters after the Messenger of Allah (s).” Ibn Abbas inquired, ‘Who are they?’ He (a.s) replied, “I and eleven Imams from my progeny, with whom the angels converse (Muhhaddithun).”

sun rises and sets between the two horns of Shaitan; so what is better than Prayer that it may rub the nose of Shaitan on the earth? Therefore pray at this time and rub the nose of Shaitan (disgrace him).

"I heard Abu Abdullah (a.s) saying," and he mentioned the same."'

“When al-Qa’im appears, he will send a man to every country of the world. He will say to him: “Your covenant is in your hand. Whenever a matter faces you that you do not understand or do not know how to judge on it, you are to look at (the covenant in) your hand and act according to it.” Then he will send an army to Constantinople. When the army reaches the sea, the soldiers will write on their feet something and will walk on the surface of the water. When the Romans see them walk on the water, they will say: “These are his companions walking on the water so how about him?” Then they will open to them the gates of the city. They enter the city and rule as they like.”

Know that by Allah, this verse has not been actualized as yet and it will be actualized in the future.

“Undertaking our matter is not by believing and accepting it only. Undertaking our matter is by preserving and keeping it secret from those, who are not qualified for it. Deliver my greeting to them (the Shia) and tell them that he (Imam as-Sadiq) says to you: May Allah have mercy upon one, who brings me and himself people’s love by telling them of what they know and concealing what they deny. By Allah, he, who makes war against us, is not more harmful to us than one, who accuses us of what we hate.”

“Once Abu Ja’far al-Baqir (as) said to me: “O Thabit, as if I see al-Qa’im of my family coming near to your Najaf.” He pointed with his hand towards Kufa and then added: “When he comes to your Najaf, he will spread the banner of the Prophet (S) and then the angels of Badr will descend to him.” I asked him: “What is the banner of the Prophet (S)?” He said: “Its pole is from the pole of the Throne of Allah and from His mercy. The rest of it is from the assistance of Allah. Everything that he swoops on with this banner Allah will make it perish.” I said: “Is it kept with you until al-Qa’im (as) appears or it is brought then?” He said: “No. It is brought then.” I said: “Who brings it?” He said: “Gabriel (as).”
