God’s Prophet (MGB) taught Ali (MGB) one-thousand gates each of which opens up to another one-thousand gates.”

"If a man divorces his wife, and she claims that the belongings are hers while he claims that the belongings are his, then the man is entitled to what is for men, and the woman is entitled to what is for women." It has also been narrated: "The woman has a greater right to the belongings because it is commonly known among the people of the area that a woman brings belongings with her to her husband's house."

“Verily, the people who are circumambuling (the Ka`bah) are passing in front of you.” Thus, he (AS) replied, “The One to whom I pray to is closer to me than they are.”

The Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, said: If my nation was to walk like mutayta and they were to be served by the Persians and the Romans, their violence will be among themselves.

'Shall I not inform you of the gravest form of adultery?' They said: 'Yes.' Imam (as) said: 'It is when a woman brings another man onto her husband's bed and bears a child from him, then attributes that child to her husband. That woman is the one whom Allah (swt) will neither speak to nor look at on the Day of Judgment, nor will He (swt) purify her, and for her is a painful punishment.'"

I asked Abu al-Hasan al-Ridha (as) about a woman who was on the way to Mecca and performed the Maghrib prayer two rak'ahs going and two rak'ahs returning. Imam (as) said: "She does not need to repeat it." In another narration from al-Hussain ibn Sa'id, from ibn Abi Umayr, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq ibn Ammar, from Abu al-Hasan (as), Imam (as) said: "There is no obligation to make it up."

Sa‘idah and Minnah sisters of Muhammad Ibn Abi ‘Umayr Bayya‘ al-Sabiriy narrated to me the following: “Once, we visited abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), and asked if a woman can visit her brother. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, she can do so.’ We then asked if she can shake hands with him. He (the Imam) said, ‘It must be from behind the cloth.’ One of them said, ‘My sister, this one, visits her brothers.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘When you visit your brothers do not wear dyes.’”

Everything in this book that is narrated from Hisham ibn Al-Hakam has been transmitted by me from my father and from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them both - from Sa'd ibn Abdullah and Al-Himyari together, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn 'Isa, from Ali ibn Al-Hakam and Muhammad ibn Abi 'Umayr together, from Hisham ibn Al-Hakam. His kunya was Abu Muhammad, and he was a freed servant (mawla) of Banu Shayban. He was a seller of woolen garments and moved from Baghdad to Kufa.

O Aba Harun! Surely, we instruct our children to recite Tasbih Fatima (sa) just as we instruct them to pray. So, cling to it, for no wretched worshiper clings to it.

A worshiper does not say [the following] seven times per day -- I ask Allah for Paradise, and I seek refuge in Allah from the Fire -- except that the Fire says: "O Lord! Give him refuge from me."

I said to Abi al-Hasan عليه السلام: Ali b. Yaqtin has sent me to you with a message – he asks that you supplicate for him, he [the Imam] said: concerning the hereafter? I said: yes, so he [the Imam] put his hand on his chest and then said: I guarantee for Ali b. Yaqtin that the fire will never touch him – ever.

“I asked Abā ʿAbdillāh (a) about the verse wherein Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, says: Do not assert your own virtue. He knows best who is truly virtuous (Q53:32). So he said, ‘It is when a person says: I prayed last night, and I fasted yesterday, and other statements such as these.’ Then he (a) said, ‘There were some people who would say in the mornings, “We prayed last night and we fasted yesterday,” so ʿAlī (a) said, “But as for me, I sleep at night and in the day, and were I to find between them any other time, I would have slept in it as well.”’” [1]

“I heard Zurarah asking abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the fast on the day of ‘Ashura’. He (the Imam) said, ‘Whoever fasts that day, his share for such fast is like the share of ibn Marjanah and the family of Ziyad.’ I then asked, ‘What was their share of that day? He (the Imam) said, ‘It is the fire, I seek protection with Allah against it and against the deeds that take one closer to the fire.’”

Messenger of Allah (sw) said: “Whoever dies without ascribing a partner to Allah, will enter Heaven regardless of whether he has done good or evil.”

Abu Abdillah Ja’far ibn Muhammad (as) who said: The Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, said: "Blessed is he who denounces the tempting ready desire, to earn the promised blessing he has not seen."

Spending money gained through the following four ways: treason, obtaining illegitimately earned property, theft and usury is not allowed on the four following occasions: Hajj, Umra, participation in a holy war and giving charity.”

"Abu Jafar Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) read to me the 'Book of Inheritance', which was dictated by the Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace be upon him and his family) and written in the handwriting of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as). I read in it: A woman passes away, leaving behind her husband and both parents. The inheritance is divided as follows: the husband receives half of the estate, which is three shares; the mother receives one-third, which is two shares; and the father receives one-sixth, which is one share.

I asked Abu `Abd Allah al-Sadiq (AS): “What is the Proof that Allah is One?” He (AS) replied, “The Proof that Allah is One can be seen in the continued management of creation and its perfection in all aspects. As the Mighty and High says: If there had been in them any gods except Allah, they would both have certainly been in a state of disorder.”

There are three things that no one has any excuses not to do. Return what you are entrusted with whether it belongs to a good-doer or a wicked man. Fulfill your promise whether it be to a good-doer or a wicked man. Treat your parents kindly whether they are good-doers or wicked ones.”
