“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Earning certain kinds of sustenance dries up one’s skin on his bones (very hard to earn).”’

“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that you must do the greater tasks of your affairs personally and assign others to perform the easier ones. I then asked, ’Like what kinds of tasks are they?’ He (the Imam) answered, ’Like real estate deals and similar tasks.”’

The best money of an individual is a filly that is ma’mura or a sikka ma’bura.

Hadith.3654 - Muhammad bin Isa bin Ubaid Al-Yaqtini wrote to Abu Al-Hasan Imam Ali bin Muhammad Al-Askari (as), asking: "A man entrusted his son to another man and handed him over for a year with a known wage to sew for him. Then another man came and said to him, 'Hand over your son to me for a year with an increased wage.' Does he have the choice in this matter, and is it permissible for him to revoke the agreement made with the first man or not?" Imam (as) replied in his handwriting: 'He must fulfill the agreement with the first man unless his son faces illness or weakness.'

“A man went to see the Prophet (MGB) andsaid, ‘O Prophet of God! I have taught my son how to write. What should he engage in now?’ The Prophet (MGB) replied, ‘Have him do any job but the following five: selling shrouds for the dead; working as a goldsmith ; slaughtering quadrupeds; selling wheat; and selling slaves. The reason behind this is as follows. One who sells shrouds for the dead would wish the death of his people, while even a baby from my followers is superior to all the people on the Earth in my sight. A goldsmith would plan to have the people lose their money. When a slaughterer of quadrupeds kills the quadrupeds, he will not forgive others wholeheartedly. A wheat-seller would hoard up the wheat and withhold it from my followers. It would be better if one has stolen something when he meets God, than having hoarded up food for forty days (in order to sell it at a higher price). Selling slaves is a bad job since once Gabriel descended to me and said, ‘Those who sell slaves are the worst people amongst your followers.’’”

A man came to the Prophet, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, and said: O Messenger of Allah, I have taught my son this book, so for what thing shall I give it? He said: Give it, for the sake of Allah, to your father, and do not give it to five: do not give it to an evil-wisher, nor a goldsmith, nor a slaughterer, nor a wheat seller, nor a slave trader. Then he said: O Messenger of Allah, and what is an evil-wisher? He said: The one who sells winding sheets and wishes for the death of my nation, whereas the one born from my nation is more beloved to me than what the sun has shined upon. As for the goldsmith, he treats the fraud of my nation. As for the slaughterer, he slaughters until mercy departs his heart. As for the wheat seller, he corners food from my nation, whereas for a servant to meet Allah as a thief is more beloved to me than if he meets Him having cornered food for forty days. As for the slave trader, indeed, Jibra’eel, peace be upon him, came to me and said: O Muhammed, indeed, the evil ones from your nation are those who sell people.
