2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah in a marfu‘ manner the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘
Embarrassing a recipient, after giving charity destroys the virtue of this benevolent deed.’”
2ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله رَفَعَهُ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) الْمَنُّ يَهْدِمُ الصَّنِيعَةَ.

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is undesirable for a fasting person to use a fresh twig as tooth brush; however, it is not harmful to make one’s brush wet with water, then discharge out of one’s mouth so that nothing is left.’”
3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) أَنَّهُ كَرِهَ لِلصَّائِمِ أَنْ يَسْتَاكَ بِسِوَاكٍ رَطْبٍ وَقَالَ
لا يَضُرُّ أَنْ يَبُلَّ سِوَاكَهُ بِالْمَاءِ ثُمَّ يَنْفُضَهُ حَتَّى لا يَبْقَى فِيهِ شَيْ‏ءٌ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about al-Adha’; if it is obligatory on one who can afford for himself and his family. He (the Imam) said, ‘For one’s self, it must not be ignored; and for one’s family, if he likes, he may ignore.’”
2ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
سُئِلَ عَنِ الأَضْحَى أَ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى مَنْ وَجَدَ لِنَفْسِهِ وَعِيَالِهِ فَقَالَ أَمَّا لِنَفْسِهِ فَلا يَدَعْهُ وَأَمَّا لِعِيَالِهِ إِنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَهُ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘ Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from ‘ Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A borrower is not held liable for the item borrowed unless it is stipulated, except dinar which brings liability even if there is no stipulation.’”
2- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) لا يَضْمَنُ الْعَارِيَّةَ إِلا أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدِ اشْتَرَطَ فِيهَا ضَمَاناً إِلا الدَّنَانِيرَ فَإِنَّهَا مَضْمُونَةٌ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَشْتَرِطْ فِيهَا ضَمَاناً.

8. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from Muhammad ibn Ali from ‘Abd Allah ibn Jamilah from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following
“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about what people scatter on certain people during an entertaining occasion or wedding ceremony. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is unlawful but what they give, you can take it.’”
8- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَبَلَةَ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) الإمْلاكُ يَكُونُ وَالْعُرْسُ فَيُنْثَرُ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ فَقَالَ حَرَامٌ وَلَكِنْ مَا أَعْطَوْكَ مِنْهُ فَخُذْهُ.

2. Ahmad ibn ‘Abd Allah has narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from ‘Abdul ibn Malik from Harun ibn al-Jahm from al-Kahiliy from Mu‘adh, Bayya‘ al-Akyisah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, would milk his family’s goat.”
2- أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عَبْدَلِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ الْجَهْمِ عَنِ الْكَاهِلِيِّ عَنْ مُعَاذٍ بَيَّاعِ الأكْسِيَةِ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) يَحْلُبُ عَنْزَ أَهْلِهِ.

12. Ahmad ibn ‘Abd Allah has narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from Muhammad ibn Ali (al-Sayrafiy) from ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Whoever maintains moderation, Allah grants him sustenance, but He deprives one who spends excessively.’”
12ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الله عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الصَّيْرَفِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) مَنِ اقْتَصَدَ فِي مَعِيشَتِهِ رَزَقَهُ الله وَمَنْ بَذَّرَ حَرَمَهُ الله.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father from ‘ Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from ibn Muskan from those whom he has mentioned who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The mother of the newborn should not eat from the meat of ‘Aqiqah but it is not harmful if she gives to the needy neighbor.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
لَا تَأْكُلُ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ عَقِيقَةِ وَلَدِهَا وَ لَا بَأْسَ بِأَنْ تُعْطِيَهَا الْجَارَ الْمُحْتَاجَ مِنَ اللَّحْمِ .

9. Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Bandar has narrated from Ibrahim ibn Ishaq, from ‘Abd Allah ibn Ahmad, from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Allah, from Mehzam who has said the following
“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘If one refrains from drinking wine for his own protection Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, will provide him drink from the sealed wine of the garden (paradises).”’

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ مَنْ تَرَكَ الْخَمْرَ صِيَانَةً لِنَفْسِهِ سَقَاهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مِنَ الرَّحِيقِ الْمَخْتُومِ .

8. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from al-Nawfaliy from ‘Isa ibn ‘Abd Allah from Abu ‘Abdullah (a.s.) who said
"The Messenger of Allah (sw) said: 'Whoever does good to any member of my household, I will be his guarantor on the Day of Judgment.'"
8ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الله عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) مَنْ صَنَعَ إِلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يَداً كَافَيْتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from ‘Abd Allah ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Aban ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn abu ‘Abd Allah who has said the following
“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about exchanging one slave for two slaves and a slave for a slave and some dirhams. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful in the case of all animals if it (the deal) is simultaneous.’”
3- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنِ الْعَبْدِ بِالْعَبْدَيْنِ وَالْعَبْدِ بِالْعَبْدِ وَالدَّرَاهِمِ قَالَ لا بَأْسَ بِالْحَيَوَانِ كُلِّهِ يَداً بِيَدٍ.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah (saww) has said, “The tattooing women and those women who are tattooed, those who raise the price of a piece of goods for sale without the intention to buy and those who agree to such act are all cursed upon the tongue of Muhammad (saww).’”
13- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) الْوَاشِمَةُ وَالْمُوتَشِمَةُ وَالنَّاجِشُ وَالْمَنْجُوشُ مَلْعُونُونَ عَلَى لِسَانِ مُحَمَّدٍ.

17. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from certain individuals of his people from al-Nahdi from Yazid ibn Ishaq Sha’ar from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mudar from ‘Abd Allah ibn Bukayr who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘No one expresses arrogance but because of lowliness that he feels in his soul.’ In another Hadith Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) has said, ‘There is no man who expresses arrogance or tyranny but because of lowliness that he feels in his soul.”
17ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنِ النَّهْدِيِّ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ شَعِرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يَتِيهُ إِلا مِنْ ذِلَّةٍ يَجِدُهَا فِي نَفْسِهِ وَفِي حَدِيثٍ آخَرَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ تَكَبَّرَ أَوْ تَجَبَّرَ إِلا لِذِلَّةٍ وَجَدَهَا فِي نَفْسِهِ.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Salah (prayer) is not performed in ten places, such as in clay, water, bath houses, on graves, on main roads, ant’s colonies, camel’s barns, water beds, salt grounds and on snow.’”
12ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله عَنِ ابْنِ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْفَضْلِ عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
عَشَرَةُ مَوَاضِعَ لاَ يُصَلَّى فِيهَا الطِّينُ وَالْمَاءُ وَالْحَمَّامُ وَالْقُبُورُ وَمَسَانُّ الطَّرِيقِ وَقُرَى النَّمْلِ وَمَعَاطِنُ الإِبِلِ وَمَجْرَى الْمَاءِ وَالسَّبَخُ وَالثَّلْجُ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin, Alayhi al-Salam, commanded an old man who had never performed al-Hajj and was not able to perform al-Hajj because of old age to prepare a man to perform al-Hajj on his behalf.’”
2ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
إِنَّ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ سَلامُ الله عَلَيْهِ أَمَرَ شَيْخاً كَبِيراً لَمْ يَحُجَّ قَطُّ وَلَمْ يُطِقِ الْحَجَّ لِكِبَرِهِ أَنْ يُجَهِّزَ رَجُلاً أَنْ يَحُجَّ عَنْهُ.

7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ’Abd Allah ibn af-Mughirah from ’Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who pays his Zakat. He distributes a certain amount of it and keeps a certain amount to find proper recipient and this takes three months altogether. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful.’”
7ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام)
أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الرَّجُلِ يُخْرِجُ زَكَاتَهُ فَيَقْسِمُ بَعْضَهَا وَيُبْقِي بَعْضَهَا يَلْتَمِسُ بِهَا الْمَوْضِعَ فَيَكُونُ مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ إِلَى آخِرِهِ ثَلاَثَةُ أَشْهُرٍ قَالَ لاَ بَأْسَ.

17. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Fadl from certain persons of our people who has said the following
“We complained before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the loss of our clothes with the cleaners. He (the Imam) said, ‘Write on them, “Blessing for us.’” We did so and did not lose any cloth thereafter.”
17- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا قَالَ
شَكَوْنَا إِلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) ذَهَابَ ثِيَابِنَا عِنْدَ الْقَصَّارِينَ فَقَالَ اكْتُبُوا عَلَيْهَا بَرَكَةٌ لَنَا فَفَعَلْنَا ذَلِكَ فَمَا ذَهَبَ لَنَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ ثَوْبٌ.

4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father from Hamza ibn ‘Abd Allah al-Ja‘ fary from Jamil ibn Darraj from abu Hamza who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Whoever has come to know Allah, he fears Allah. Whoever fears Allah, ignores his own soul in this world.’”
4ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله الْجَعْفَرِيِّ عَنْ جَمِيلِ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) مَنْ عَرَفَ الله خَافَ الله وَمَنْ خَافَ الله سَخَتْ نَفْسُهُ عَنِ الدُّنْيَا.

11. Abu Ali al-Ash’ariy has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Kufiy, from al-‘ Ab has ibn ‘Amir, from ‘Abd Allah ibn Jabalah from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sa‘d who has said the following
“‘Abd al-Rahman once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man’s treating the backside of a camel while in the state of Ihram. He (the Imam) said, ‘He can throw away bugs but must not make it bleed.’”
11ـ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْكُوفِيِّ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ جَبَلَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ
سَأَلَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) عَنِ الْمُحْرِمِ يُعَالِجُ دَبَرَ الْجَمَلِ قَالَ فَقَالَ يُلْقِي عَنْهُ الدَّوَابَّ وَلا يُدْمِيهِ.

قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ الزَّيْتُونُ يُهَيِّجُ الرِّيَاحَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الزَّيْتُونَ يَطْرُدُ الرِّيَاحَ .
