I asked Abu Abdullah (as) about a person in the state of ihram getting married. Imam (as) said: "No, and one in the state of ihram cannot perform the marriage of someone who is not in ihram."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not unlawful if one has twenty shirts. 5 ”

Hadith.1509 - Abdul-Rahman ibn Abi Abdullah asked Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) about windstorms, darkness in the sky, and eclipses. Imam (as) replied: "The prayer for all of them is the same”.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), once said, ‘From your area no other thing comes more likable to us than viola.’”

“We were in al-Madinah and abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), sent a message to us to make for him (the Imam) Faludah (a kind of sweet) of a little quantity . We then sent it to him (the Imam) in a small bowl.’”

Abu Abdullah (asws) (regarding the Verse) “[3:92] By no means shall you attain to righteousness until you spend (benevolently) out of all you love”. This is how he (asws) read it’ (reading ‘مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ هَكَذَا فَاقْرَأْهَا’ instead of what is now in the Holy Quran ‘وَمَا تُنْفِقُوا مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِهِ عَلِيمٌ’).

50. Umme Saeed Hamsiya says that she was present near Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.). She had sent someone to rent a mule so that she can perform Ziyarat of the martyrs. Imam (a.s.) asked her, “Why don’t you go for the Ziyarat of the chief of the martyrs?” She asked, “May I be sacrificed for you, who is the chief of the martyrs?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Imam Husain (a.s.) is the chief of martyrs.” She asked, “What is the reward of one who does his Ziyarat?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “It is equal to a Hajj and Umrah.” Then showing his three fingers he conveyed that the reward is three times that of performing that deed.

15. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “Surely four thousand angels having their hair covered in mud and in distressed state will mourn at the grave of Imam Husain (a.s.) till the Day of Judgment. The name of their leader is Mansur. He welcomes the person who comes for Ziyarat. These angels won’t separate from that person. If he falls ill they will treat him, if he dies they attend his funeral prayer and repent for him after his death.”

he heard abu Basir say that he said to abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) the following. “What made the supporters of Ali (a.s.) suffer the troubles despite the fact that they knew about their deaths and (causes of their) suffering?” the Imam (a.s.) replied me in a way as if he seemed angry, “from who could it come except from their own selves.?” I then asked, “What prevents you, may Allah take my soul in service for your cause, from telling it all (to your friends). The Imam (a.s.) said, “It is a door that is closed door except that al-Husayn ibn Ali (a.s.) opened it to a small degree (told a few things about future to his supporters just before their martyrdom).” The Imam (a.s.) then said, “O abu Muhammad, those people had a tie (zip) over their mouths.”

“Once I asked abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.), ‘Is there any Zakat on Imam?’” He said, “O abu Muhammad, you have spoken an impossible word. Do you not know that both this and the next world belong to the Imam? He can place them as he may want or give them to whoever he may want. It is permissible for him from Allah. The Imam said, O abu Muhammad, the Imam never spends a night without Allah‘s right on him for which He would not ask him.”

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who had found a certain amount of property from banu ’Umayyah. He gives charity thereof, helps his relatives, performs al-Hajj therewith, so that Allah may forgive what he has earned and says, ’Good deeds remove bad deeds.’ Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), said, ’Sins do not expiate sins. Only good deeds remove sins.’ He (the Imam) then said, ’If he has mixed lawful with unlawful and is not able to distinguish, then it is not harmful.’”

“Our people were mentioned before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.). I said, ‘I do not eat lunch or dinner without two, three or more or less of them with me.’ Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) said, ‘Their merit over you is greater than your merit over them.’ I then said, ‘May Allah keep my soul in service for your cause, how can it be as such? I feed them and spent for them from my property and my family serves them.’ The Imam said, ‘When they come to you they come with plenty of sustenance from Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, and when they leave, they do so with forgiveness for you.’”

“About the case of a man who makes a will in the presence of his heirs who give permission but when he dies they disregard it if they can take back what they had agreed, abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘They cannot do so. The will about which the heirs agree in the lifetime of the deceased becomes permissible.’” Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar has narrated from Safwan ibn Yahya from Mansur ibn Hazim from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), a similar Hadith.’”

“There were three signs in the Prophet Joseph’s (MGB) shirt as God the Honorable the Exalted says, ‘They stained his shirt with false blood…’ And God the Honorable the Exalted says, ‘…(thus):- If it be that his shirt is rent from the front, then is her tale true, and he is a liar!’ And God the Honorable the Exalted says, ‘Go with this my shirt, and cast it over the face of my father: he will come to see (clearly). Then come ye (here) to me together with all your family.’ ”

Prophet (MGB) said, “The Children of Adam would not do any deeds that are worse than the following three deeds near the Blessed the Sublime God: When a man kills a Prophet or a Divine Leader; when a man destroys the Ka’ba which God the Honorable the Exalted has established as a turning point to worship Him; or when a man illegitimately has sex with a woman.”

Satan cried out four times. Firstly, it was on the day on which it was cursed. The second time was when it was sent down to the Earth. The third time was when Muhammad (MGB) was appointed to the Prophethood at the end of the Prophethood chain. Then it was when the Fatiha Chapter of the Quran was revealed. Satan was pleased twice: when Adam (MGB) ate of the forbidden tree, and when Adam (MGB) was sent down to the Earth.”

Whoever has phlebotomy done for him on the Tuesday of the seventeenth, nineteenth days or the twenty-first day of each month shall be relieved of every ailment up until the next year. If he does so on a different day, he shall be relieved of headaches, toothaches, insanity, leprosy and vitiligo.”

“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If a man buys something from another man, he has the choice to dismiss the deal before they depart each other. When they depart the deal becomes binding.’ He (the narrator) has said, ‘Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), then said, ‘My father once purchased a piece of land called “al-‘Arid”. He purchased it for a few dinars and said to the seller. “I will give you a leaf (silver) for every dinar ten dirhams.” He purchased it and moved. I followed him and asked, “O father, why did you move so quickly?” He (the Imam) replied, “I wanted the transaction to become binding.’””

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who purchases something from a man and makes a binding deal and then leaving the merchandise with him without taking possession saying, Tomorrow, by the will of Allah, I will come back.’ Someone steals the merchandise. Whose property is it considered? He (the Imam) replied It is the property of the seller until the buyer takes possession and it is taken away from the seller’s house. When this happens the buyer is responsible until he returns it back to the seller.’”

“When al-Qa’im (as) rises, people will deny him because he will come back to them as a young man. No one will remain believing in him except those, with whom Allah has made a covenant since the first creation.” In another tradition he had said: “It is a great affliction that when their man (al-Qa’im) appears to them young while they think that he is an old man.”
