hadith 1832
2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about al-Adha’; if it is obligatory on one who can afford for himself and his family. He (the Imam) said, ‘For one’s self, it must not be ignored; and for one’s family, if he likes, he may ignore.’”
2ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
سُئِلَ عَنِ الأَضْحَى أَ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى مَنْ وَجَدَ لِنَفْسِهِ وَعِيَالِهِ فَقَالَ أَمَّا لِنَفْسِهِ فَلا يَدَعْهُ وَأَمَّا لِعِيَالِهِ إِنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَهُ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘ Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from ‘ Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A borrower is not held liable for the item borrowed unless it is stipulated, except dinar which brings liability even if there is no stipulation.’”
2- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) لا يَضْمَنُ الْعَارِيَّةَ إِلا أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدِ اشْتَرَطَ فِيهَا ضَمَاناً إِلا الدَّنَانِيرَ فَإِنَّهَا مَضْمُونَةٌ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَشْتَرِطْ فِيهَا ضَمَاناً.

Hadith.886 - Abdullah ibn Sinan narrated from Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) that
"The Messenger of Allah (sw) combined the Dhuhr (noon) and 'Asr (afternoon) prayers with one adhan and two iqamah, and he combined the Maghrib (sunset) and 'Isha (night) prayers in the same setting without any particular reason, using one adhan and two iqamah”.
886 - وَ رَوَى عَبْدُ اَللَّهِ بْنُ سِنَانٍ عَنِ اَلصَّادِقِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ اَلظُّهْرِ وَ اَلْعَصْرِ بِأَذَانٍ وَ إِقَامَتَيْنِ وَ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ اَلْمَغْرِبِ وَ اَلْعِشَاءِ فِي اَلْحَضَرِ مِنْ غَيْرِ عِلَّةٍ بِأَذَانٍ وَاحِدٍ وَ إِقَامَتَيْنِ.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Najran from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has narrated the following
“About the case of a man who dies leaving behind a certain amount of assets and a mother who is owned by someone, I once heard abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘His mother is bought, then the rest of the legacy is given to her.”’
2- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ فِي رَجُلٍ تُوُفِّيَ وَتَرَكَ مَالا وَلَهُ أُمٌّ مَمْلُوكَةٌ قَالَ تُشْتَرَى أُمُّهُ وَتُعْتَقُ ثُمَّ يُدْفَعُ إِلَيْهَا بَقِيَّةُ الْمَالِ.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Najran from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who in the state of Ihram finds ticks and bigger ticks; can he throw it away? He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, he can do so. It is very mean of them to climb where they are not to climb.’”
4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) أَ رَأَيْتَ إِنْ وَجَدْتُ عَلَيَّ قُرَاداً أَوْ حَلَمَةً أَطْرَحُهُمَا قَالَ نَعَمْ وَصَغَارٌ لَهُمَا إِنَّهُمَا رَقِيَا فِي غَيْرِ مَرْقَاهُمَا.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that one in the state of Ttikaf must not go out of the Masjid unless it is for Friday Salat (prayer) or a funeral or defecation.”
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
لَيْسَ عَلَى الْمُعْتَكِفِ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ إِلاَّ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ أَوْ جَنَازَةٍ أَوْ غَائِطٍ.

Hadith.1634 - Abdullah ibn Sinan narrated from Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) who said
A man asked him in my presence about the wealth of a slave: "Is Zakat obligatory on it?" The Imam (as) replied: "No, even if he possesses a million dirhams. Moreover, if he were in need, he would not be entitled to receive anything from Zakat."
1634 - وَ رَوَى عَبْدُ اَللَّهِ بْنُ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
سَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ وَ أَنَا حَاضِرٌ عَنْ مَالِ اَلْمَمْلُوكِ أَ عَلَيْهِ زَكَاةٌ فَقَالَ «لاَ وَ لَوْ كَانَ لَهُ أَلْفُ أَلْفِ دِرْهَمٍ وَ لَوِ اِحْتَاجَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مِنَ اَلزَّكَاةِ شَيْءٌ ».

10. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘You must eat sweet pomegranate. Every grain that reaches the stomach of a believing person; it abolishes the illnesses and extinguishes the temptation of Satan thereof.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالرُّمَّانِ الْحُلْوِ فَكُلُوهُ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَتْ مِنْ حَبَّةٍ تَقَعُ فِي مَعِدَةِ مُؤْمِنٍ إِلَّا أَبَادَتْ دَاءً وَ أَطْفَأَتْ شَيْطَانَ الْوَسْوَسَةِ عَنْهُ .

Hadith.2366 - Al-Nadr narrated from Abdullah ibn Sinan
I heard Abu Abdullah (as) say: "For the pigeons of Mecca and the domesticated birds from the pigeons of the Sacred Sanctuary (Haram), whoever slaughters a bird from them must give charity greater than its value. If the person was in the state of Ihram, then a sheep is required for each bird."
2366 - وَ رَوَى اَلنَّضْرُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ يَقُولُ : «فِي حَمَامِ مَكَّةَ اَلطَّيْرُ اَلْأَهْلِيُّ مِنْ حَمَامِ اَلْحَرَمِ مَنْ ذَبَحَ مِنْهُ طَيْراً فَعَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَتَصَدَّقَ بِصَدَقَةٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ ثَمَنِهِ فَإِنْ كَانَ مُحْرِماً فَشَاةٌ عَنْ كُلِّ طَيْرٍ.

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ‘Ubayd Allah al-Dihqan from Durust from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that once a man complained before the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, about loneliness and fear. He (the Messenger of Allah) commanded him to keep a pair of pigeons in his house.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الدِّهْقَانِ عَنْ دُرُسْتَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
شَكَا رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) الْوَحْشَةَ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ فِي بَيْتِهِ زَوْجَ حَمَامٍ .

hadith 1199
1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Washsha’ from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“I once asked abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), about the master curries in this world and in the next life. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is meat. Have you not heard the words of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, ‘. . . meat of bird from that which they desire. 5 (56:21)”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ سَيِّدِ الْآدَامِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ فَقَالَ اللَّحْمُ أَ مَا سَمِعْتَ قَوْلَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ لَحْمِ طَيْرٍ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ .

6. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu’alla ibn Muhammad from al- Hassan ibn Ali from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan from a man from Banu Hashim who has said the following
“If four things are found in a person his Islam is perfect, even though he may be filled with sins from his head to his toes it will not harm him. They consist of Truthfulness, Bashfulness, Good Moral Behavior and Thankfulness.”
6ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ قَالَ
أَرْبَعٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ كَمَلَ إِسْلامُهُ وَلَوْ كَانَ مِنْ قَرْنِهِ إِلَى قَدَمِهِ خَطَايَا لَمْ تَنْقُصْهُ الصِّدْقُ وَالْحَيَاءُ وَحُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ وَالشُّكْرُ.

4. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Ali b. Majluwayh who said it was narrated to me by my uncle Muhammad b. Abi al-Qasim from Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah from al-Hussain b. Sa’eed from Fadhalah from Abdillah b. Sinan from al-Sadiq (a.s.) who said
“The smell of the mouth (breath) of a fasting person is dearer to Allah than the fragrance of musk.”
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِیِّ بْنِ مَاجِیلَوَیْهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَمِّی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِی الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَهَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنِ الصَّادِقِ ع قَالَ
خُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَفْضَلُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رَائِحَهِ الْمِسْکِ.

16. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu’alla’ ibn Muhammad from al- Washsha’ from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan from abu Hamza who has said the following
“I heard abu la’ far (a.s.) saying, ‘Amir al-Mu’minin, Ali ibn abu Talib (a.s.) is a (means of) access that Allah has prepared. Whoever approaches through this access is a believer and whoever departs is an unbeliever.’”
16ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ إِنَّ عَلِيّاً (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) بَابٌ فَتَحَهُ الله مَنْ دَخَلَهُ كَانَ مُؤْمِناً وَمَنْ خَرَجَ مِنْهُ كَانَ كَافِراً.

2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn abu Najran from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the only people who are interrogated in the grave are those whose belief or disbelief is absolute and total, and people other than these are left alone.”
2ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
إِنَّمَا يُسْأَلُ فِي قَبْرِهِ مَنْ مَحَضَ الإِيمَانَ مَحْضاً وَالْكُفْرَ مَحْضاً وَأَمَّا مَا سِوَى ذَلِكَ فَيُلْهَى عَنْهُمْ.

2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ibn Mahbub from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘Nuh, Alayhi al-Salam, in the days of flood called all waters and they all replied except water of the sulfur and bitter water which then he condemned.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
إِنَّ نُوحاً ( عليه السلام ) لَمَّا كَانَ فِي أَيَّامِ الطُّوفَانِ دَعَا الْمِيَاهَ كُلَّهَا فَأَجَابَتْهُ إِلَّا مَاءَ الْكِبْرِيتِ وَ الْمَاءَ الْمُرَّ فَلَعَنَهُمَا .

17. It is narrated that Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “
One who helps an unjust against his victim, the Almighty Allah will be enraged upon him till the time he stops helping him.”
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِیسَی عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع یَقُولُ مَنْ أَعَانَ ظَالِماً عَلَی مَظْلُومٍ لَمْ یَزَلِ اللَّهُ عَلَیْهِ سَاخِطاً حَتَّی یَنْزِعَ مِنْ مَعُونَتِهِ.

9. Abu Ali al-Ash’ari has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from ibn Faddal from Ali ibn ‘Uqbah from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) a similar Hadith with the following addition
“When injustice is done to you in an oppressive condition, be happy with My support; My support for you is better than your own support for yourself.”
9ـ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام)
مِثْلَهُ وَزَادَ فِيهِ وَإِذَا ظُلِمْتَ بِمَظْلِمَةٍ فَارْضَ بِانْتِصَارِي لَكَ فَإِنَّ انْتِصَارِي لَكَ خَيْرٌ مِنِ انْتِصَارِكَ لِنَفْسِكَ.

The Imam said, ‘
It is permissible if it is for seeking favors.’”
2ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مَرَّارٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَكْتُبُ إِلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ عُظَمَاءِ عُمَّالِ الْمَجُوسِ فَيَبْدَأُ بِاسْمِهِ قَبْلَ اسْمِهِ فَقَالَ
لا بَأْسَ إِذَا فَعَلَ لإخْتِيَارِ الْمَنْفَعَةِ.

9. Ali ibn has narrated from ibn Jumhur from his father from Muhammad ibn Sinan from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Amir al-Mu’minin, Ali ibn abu Talib (a.s.) has said, ‘If you come face to face with a beast say, ‘I seek protection with the Lord of Daniel and the well against the evil of all powerful lions.” Note: Daniel was thrown in a well with wild beasts but they did not harm him.
9ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُمْهُورٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) إِذَا لَقِيتَ السَّبُعَ فَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ دَانِيَالَ وَالْجُبِّ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ أَسَدٍ مُسْتَأْسِدٍ.
