4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father from certain persons of his people who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the necessary condolence should be offered after burial takes place.”
4ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
التَّعْزِيَةُ الْوَاجِبَةُ بَعْدَ الدَّفْنِ.

Hadith.448 - Sulayman ibn Khalid asked Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as): "Does one who washes the deceased need to perform ghusl (ritual purification)?" Imam (as) replied: "Yes." He then asked: "What about someone who places the deceased in the grave?" Imam (as) replied: "No, because he only touches the clothing."
448 - وَ سَأَلَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ: أَ يَغْتَسِلُ مَنْ غَسَّلَ اَلْمَيِّتَ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قَالَ فَمَنْ أَدْخَلَهُ اَلْقَبْرَ قَالَ «لاَ إِنَّمَا مَسَّ اَلثِّيَابَ.

Muhammed bin Hasan bin Abi Khalid al-Ash’ari, nicknamed as Shanbula, said: An abandoned well and a high palace, an exquisite example of the Family of Muhammed, so, the speaking is the lofty palace, among them, and the silent is the well that does not bleed.
وقال محمد بن الحسن بن أبي خالد الأشعري الملقب بشنبولة: بئر معطلة وقصر مشرف * مثل لآل محمد مستطرف فالناطق القصر المشيد منهم * والصامت البئر التي لا تنزف .

410. From him, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Khalid with an unbroken chain going up to Abu Abdullah (asws), who has narrated the following
Abu Abdullah (asws) having said: ‘The fever goes out (is cured) in three (ways) – The sweating, and the excretion and the vomiting’.
عَنْهُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ رَفَعَهُ إِلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلام) قَالَ
الْحُمَّى تَخْرُجُ فِي ثَلَاثٍ فِي الْعَرَقِ وَ الْبَطَنِ وَ الْقَيْ‏ءِ.

7. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Khalid al-Nadr ibn Suwayd from abu Basir who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), liked Zabibiyah (a dish with raisins) quite well.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ .عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ
كَانَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) تُعْجِبُهُ الزَّبِيبِيَّةُ .

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn Salim from Sulayman ibn Khalid who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Vinegar strengthens the power of understanding.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
الْخَلُّ يَشُدُّ الْعَقْلَ .

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from abu ibn al-Bakhtariy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Zakat is not due on the assets of al-Mukatib (a slave who has contracted his freedom in exchange for a certain amount of payment to his owner).”’
4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
لَيْسَ فِي مَالِ الْمُكَاتَبِ زَكَاةٌ.

مُجَامَلَةُ النَّاسِ ثُلُثُ الْعَقْلِ.

السَّكِينَةُ الإيمَانُ.

Khalid ibn Najeeh narrated that Imam Sadiq (a.s) said
“Do not forgo modesty between you and your brethren, since your manhood depends on it.”

لا تذهب الحشمة فيما بينك وبين أخيك، فإن ذهاب الحشمة ذهاب الحياء، وبقاء الحشمة بقاء المروءة.

In Al-Mahasin it is narrated that Soleiman ibn Khalid narrated that Imam Sadiq (a.s) stated: “God said
“That to thy Lord is the final Goal” [The Holy Quran: Najm 53:42] Therefore you better stop any further inquiry whenever a speech ends with talk of God's essence.”
من كتاب المحاسن: عن سليمان بن خالد قال
قال أبو عبد الله (عليه السلام): إن الله يقول: ﴿وأن إلى ربك المنتهى﴾ فإذا انتهى الكلام إلى الله فامسكوا.

Hadith.3222 - Sulayman ibn Khalid narrated from Abu Abdillah (as) who said
"Beware of judging, for judgment is only for an Imam who is knowledgeable in judicial matters and just among the Muslims, like a prophet or the executor of a prophet."
3222 - رَوَى سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
"اِتَّقُوا اَلْحُكُومَةَ فَإِنَّ اَلْحُكُومَةَ إِنَّمَا هِيَ لِلْإِمَامِ اَلْعَالِمِ بِالْقَضَاءِ اَلْعَادِلِ فِي اَلْمُسْلِمِينَ كَنَبِيٍّ أَوْ وَصِيِّ نَبِيٍّ".

11. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Khalid in a marfu’ manner who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), once said, ‘A wealth that keeps you away from injustice is better than poverty which leads you to commit sins.’”
11- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) غِنًى يَحْجُزُكَ عَنِ الظُّلْمِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ فَقْرٍ يَحْمِلُكَ عَلَى الإثْمِ.

الشُّهْرَةُ خَيْرُهَا وَ شَرُّهَا فِي النَّارِ .

Hadith.1995 - It was narrated by Uqbah ibn Khalid from Abu Abdullah (as): "Regarding a man who became ill during the Month of Ramadan and, after recovering, intended to perform Hajj, how should he deal with making up the missed fasts? Imam (as) said
'When he returns, he should fast them.'"
1995 - رَوَى عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ
فِي رَجُلٍ مَرِضَ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَلَمَّا بَرَأَ أَرَادَ اَلْحَجَّ كَيْفَ يَصْنَعُ بِقَضَاءِ اَلصَّوْمِ قَالَ «إِذَا رَجَعَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ».

قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) الْمُؤْمِنُونَ مِنْ طِينَةِ الأنْبِيَاءِ قَالَ نَعَمْ.

10. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from ibn Khalid from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following
“I saw abu Ja’far (a.s.), had applied hair dye with henna of red color.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ
رَأَيْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) يَخْتَضِبُ بِالْحِنَّاءِ خِضَاباً قَانِياً .
