“Jibril (Gabriel) said to the Holy Prophet, ‘Beware of engaging in disputes against men.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘You can marry a skeptic but do not give in marriage to a skeptic; women follow their husband and he compels her into his religion.’”

I heard Abu Abdullah (asws) saying: ‘You have antagonised your fathers, and your sons, and your wives with regards to us (asws), and your Reward is upon Allah (azwj) Mighty and Majestic. But rather, it would be most needed when you are in a state when your souls reach to here’ – and he (asws) gestured by his (asws) hand to his (asws) throat’.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Clean and fresh clothes saddens the enemy, using oil dispels despair and combing the head removes al-Waba’.’ I then asked, ‘What is al-Waba’?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is fever. Combing the beard strengthens molar teeth.’”

«Indeed, we and the family of Abu Sufyan are two households who became enemies for the sake of Allah. We said: «Allah spoke true», whereas they said: «Allah lied». Abu Sufyan fought the Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family. Mu’awiya fought Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him. Yazid bin Mu’awiya fought Hussain bin Ali, peace be upon them both, and al-Sufyani will fight the Riser, peace be upon him.

“Once I said to Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) ‘I have a neighbor from Quraysh from the family of Muhriz who propagates against me negatively. Whenever I pass by he calls me a Rafida (rejecting successors to the Holy Prophet who are not special members of his family) and that I collect funds for Ja’far ibn Muhammad (a.s.).’ The Imam said, ‘Pray to Allah against him in the last Sajdah (prostration) of the second Rak’at of Tahajjud (nightly prayer). Praise Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, and glorify Him and say, ‘O Lord, so and so, son of so and so propagates against me negatively, he has caused me anger and has exposed me to danger, O Lord, strike him a quick arrow to divert him away from me, O Lord, bring the time of his death closer, eliminate his traces and make it fast, O Lord, in this hour, in this hour!’ When I arrived in al-Kufa during the night and asked my family about him, how is so and so doing? They told me that he was ill. My words were not finished when I heard crying from the house of that man. They said that he had died.”’
