8. Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from al-Qasim ibn Yahya from his grandfather al-Hassan ibn Rashid from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘I like for the believers to apply (lime) paste after every fifteen days.”’
أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ جَدِّهِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) أُحِبُّ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ أَنْ يَطَّلِيَ فِي كُلِّ خَمْسَةَ عَشَرَ يَوْماً .

hadith 134
8. It is a narration from him (narrator of the previous Hadith) by his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Rifa‘ah and Muhammad ibn Yahya from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali from Rifa‘ah, who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a cut-off hand for Wudu’. He (the Imam) said, ‘One must wash the cut-off part.”’
8ـ وَعَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ رِفَاعَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ رِفَاعَةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الأقْطَعِ قَالَ يَغْسِلُ مَا قُطِعَ مِنْهُ.

9. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn Faddal from Ali ibn ‘Uqbah from abu al-Hassan, the first (a.s.), who has said the following
“If one pays, completely, the amount of zakat which is due on his wealth to the proper recipient, he is not asked how he has earned his wealth.”
9ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) يَعْنِي الأوَّلَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَخْرَجَ زَكَاةَ مَالِهِ تَامَّةً فَوَضَعَهَا فِي مَوْضِعِهَا لَمْ يُسْأَلْ مِنْ أَيْنَ اكْتَسَبَ مَالَهُ.

Hadith.3565 - Al-Hasan ibn Mahbub narrated from Hisham ibn Salim, from Abu al-Ward, who said
I asked Abu Ja'far Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) about a Christian slave owned by a Muslim man-does the slave have to pay jizyah (tribute tax)? Imam (as) replied: "Yes, because his owner is the one responsible for redeeming him if he is taken, and he (the owner) must pay it on his behalf."
3565 - وَ رَوَى اَلْحَسَنُ بْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي اَلْوَرْدِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ مَمْلُوكٍ نَصْرَانِيٍّ لِرَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ عَلَيْهِ جِزْيَةٌ قَالَ "نَعَمْ إِنَّمَا هُوَ مَالِكُهُ يَفْتَدِيهِ إِذَا أُخِذَ يُؤَدِّي عَنْهُ ".

8. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘ Umayr from Ali ibn Yaqtin who has said the following
“I once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about a man who is on a journey and during performing a Salah (prayer) he decides to stay there for ten days. He (the Imam) said, ‘If he decides to stay for ten days, he is required to perform his Salah (prayer) complete.’” (The following chapter is best explained in the form of fatwa.)
8ـ عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَقْطِينٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ خَرَجَ فِي سَفَرٍ ثُمَّ تَبْدُو لَهُ الإِقَامَةُ وَهُوَ فِي صَلاَتِهِ قَالَ يُتِمُّ إِذَا بَدَتْ لَهُ الإِقَامَةُ.

1. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Yahya al-’Attar from Muhammad b. Ahmad b. Yahya who raised it to Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said
“I seek immunity from Allah regarding one who offers full prayers (4 rakats) while traveling.”
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ یَحْیَی الْعَطَّارُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ یَحْیَی رَفَعَهُ إِلَی أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ
مَنْ صَلَّی فِی سَفَرٍ أَرْبَعَ رَکَعَاتٍ مُتَعَمِّداً فَأَنَا إِلَی اللَّهِ تَعَالَی بَرِی ءٌ مِنْهُ.

18. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Ali ibn Muhammad al-Qasaniy from Sulayman ibn Hafs al-Marwaziy who has said the following
“I wrote to abu al-Hassan Musa ibn Ja‘far (a.s.), about prostration for thanksgiving. He wrote back to me. ‘It is one hundred times ‘Shukran’ (O Lord, I thank You), or if you like, say “Afwan’ (O Lord, I beg forgiveness from You) one hundred times.’”
18ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقَاسَانِيِّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ حَفْصٍ الْمَرْوَزِيِّ قَالَ
كَتَبْتُ إِلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) فِي سَجْدَةِ الشُّكْرِ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيَّ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ شُكْراً شُكْراً وَإِنْ شِئْتَ عَفْواً عَفْواً.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al- Husayn ibn Sa’Id from his brother al-Hassan from Zar’a from Sama’a from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“My father (a.s.) would say, ‘Stay away from injustice and oppression; the prayer of an oppressed climbs into the heavens.’”
4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَخِيهِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ زُرْعَةَ عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
كَانَ أَبِي يَقُولُ اتَّقُوا الظُّلْمَ فَإِنَّ دَعْوَةَ الْمَظْلُومِ تَصْعَدُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ.

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Idris ibn al-Hassan from ‘Ubayd ibn Zurarah who has said the following
“He (the Imam) (a.s.), has said, ‘Walnut and cheese together are medicine but separately they are ailments and diseases.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ إِدْرِيسَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
إِنَّ الْجَوْزَ وَ الْجُبُنَّ إِذَا اجْتَمَعَا كَانَا دَوَاءً وَ إِذَا افْتَرَقَا كَانَا دَاءً .

Hadith.3508 - Al-Hasan ibn Mahbub narrated from Wahb ibn Abd Rabbih, from Abu Abdullah (as) regarding a man who married his Umm al-Walad (a female slave who bore him a child) to his slave, and then the master died. Imam (as) said
"She has no choice regarding the slave. She remains a slave belonging to the heirs."
3508 - وَ رَوَى اَلْحَسَنُ بْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ
فِي رَجُلٍ زَوَّجَ أُمَّ وَلَدٍ لَهُ عَبْداً لَهُ ثُمَّ مَاتَ اَلسَّيِّدُ قَالَ "لاَ خِيَارَ لَهَا عَلَى اَلْعَبْدِ هِيَ مَمْلُوكَةٌ لِلْوَرَثَةِ".

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Mahbub from ibn Ri’ab from abu ‘Ubaydah who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a woman who experiences Hayd (menses) whether she can listen to recitation of the verses of al-Quran that requires prostration. He (the Imam) said, ‘If it is of al-‘Aza’im kind, she must prostrate when she listens to it.’”
3ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رِئَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الطَّامِثِ تَسْمَعُ السَّجْدَةَ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْعَزَائِمِ فَلْتَسْجُدْ إِذَا سَمِعَتْهَا.

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his brother Ishaq ibn Ibrahim from Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il ibn Bazi‘ who has said the following
“Abu al-Hassan, al-Rida (a.s.), has said, ‘In the case of women about Wudu’ for Salah (prayer), Allah has made it obligatory in washing their hands to pour water over the interior side of their forearm and for men to pour water over the exterior side of their forearms.’”
6ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَخِيهِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
فَرَضَ الله عَلَى النِّسَاءِ فِي الْوُضُوءِ لِلصَّلاَةِ أَنْ يَبْتَدِئْنَ بِبَاطِنِ أَذْرُعِهِنَّ وَفِي الرِّجَالِ بِظَاهِرِ الذِّرَاعِ.

5. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from ibn Jumhur from certain individuals of his people from Ali ibn Hadid who has said the following
“I once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), ‘I may visit a people after late afternoon prayer while I am fasting and they offer me food, saying, “discontinue your fast.’” He (the Imam) said, ‘Accept the offer; it is better.’”
5ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُمْهُورٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حَدِيدٍ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لأَبِي الْحَسَنِ الْمَاضِي (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) أَدْخُلُ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ وَهُمْ يَأْكُلُونَ وَقَدْ صَلَّيْتُ الْعَصْرَ وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ فَيَقُولُونَ أَفْطِرْ فَقَالَ أَفْطِرْ فَإِنَّهُ أَفْضَلُ.

13. From Safwan ibn Yahya has narrated from Ziyad abu al-Hassan al-Wasitiy who has said the following
“I once asked abu Ibrahim (a.s.), about the case of a people who lock a door on pigeons of al-Haram (the sacred area) and they die. He (the Imam) said, ‘They are required to pay the price of every bird which is one [half] dirham with which pigeons of al-Haram (the sacred area) are fed.’”
13ـ صَفْوَانُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ زِيَادٍ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الْوَاسِطِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ قَوْمٍ قَفَّلُوا عَلَى طَائِرٍ مِنْ حَمَامِ الْحَرَمِ الْبَابَ فَمَاتَ قَالَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِقِيمَةِ كُلِّ طَيْرٍ [نِصْفُ‏] دِرْهَمٍ يُعْلَفُ بِهِ حَمَامُ الْحَرَمِ.

Hadith.831 - It was narrated from the Yāsir al-Khadim that He said: "Abu al-Hasan (as) passed by me while
I was praying on a piece of ṭabarī (a mat) upon which I had placed something. Imam (as) said to me: 'Why do you not prostrate on it? Is it not from what the earth produces?'"
831 - وَ رُوِيَ عَنْ يَاسِرٍ اَلْخَادِمِ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ: مَرَّ بِي أَبُو اَلْحَسَنِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ وَ أَنَا أُصَلِّي عَلَى اَلطَّبَرِيِّ وَ قَدْ أَلْقَيْتُ عَلَيْهِ شَيْئاً فَقَالَ لِي «مَا لَكَ لاَ تَسْجُدُ عَلَيْهِ أَ لَيْسَ هُوَ مِنْ نَبَاتِ اَلْأَرْضِ.

4. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from ibn Jumhur from Muhammad ibn ‘Umar ibn Mas’adah from al-Hassan ibn Rashid from his grandfather from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Reading of the Holy Quran from a copy relieves suffering punishment of one’s parents even if they are unbelievers.”
4ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُمْهُورٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ مَسْعَدَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قِرَاءَةُ الْقُرْآنِ فِي الْمُصْحَفِ تُخَفِّفُ الْعَذَابَ عَنِ الْوَالِدَيْنِ وَلَوْ كَانَا كَافِرَيْنِ.

H 34 - Narrated to me Abdullah bin Sinan that
I heard Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s) say: Among the inevitable matters is that this son of mine is the Qaim of this Ummah and the owner of the sword; and the Imam pointed to Abul Hasan Imam Musa Kadhim (a.s).
34- قال وحدثني عبد الله بن سلام عن عبد الله بن سنان قال
سمعت أبا عبد الله عليه السلام يقول: من المحتوم أن ابني هذا قائم هذه الأمة وصاحب السيف،وأشار بيده إلى أبي الحسن عليه السلام.

hadith 197
2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Mu’ammar ibn Khallad who has said the following
“Dawud ibn Zurbiy complained against his son before abu al-Hassan (a.s.), because of what he had destroyed. He (the Imam) said, ‘Reform and reclaim him; a value of a hundred thousand is not important compared to the bounty that Allah has bestowed up on you.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَمَّرِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ قَالَ
كَانَ دَاوُدُ بْنُ زُرْبِيٍّ شَكَا ابْنَهُ إِلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) فِيمَا أَفْسَدَ لَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ اسْتَصْلِحْهُ فَمَا مِائَةُ أَلْفٍ فِيمَا أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ بِهِ عَلَيْكَ .

5. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from his brother al-Hassan from Zur’ah from Sanaa ‘ah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), disliked throwing pebbles during the night; but he gave permission to slaves and people tending camels to throw pebbles on al-Jamar during night.”
5ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَخِيهِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ زُرْعَةَ عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) أَنَّهُ
كَرِهَ رَمْيَ الْجِمَارِ بِاللَّيْلِ وَرَخَّصَ لِلْعَبْدِ وَالرَّاعِي فِي رَمْيِ الْجِمَارِ لَيْلاً.
