Hadith.117 - Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) said: "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (sw) frequently used siwak (tooth cleaning), but it is not obligatory, so it will not harm you if you leave it for a few days”.
117 - وَقَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ: «إِنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ كَانَ يُكْثِرُ اَلسِّوَاكَ وَ لَيْسَ بِوَاجِبٍ فَلاَ يَضُرُّكَ تَرْكُهُ فِي فَرْطِ اَلْأَيَّامِ.

9 – Suhayl b. Ziyād, Abū Yaḥyā, al-Wāsiṭī. His mother was the daughter of Muḥammad b. alNuʿmān, Abū Jaʿfar al-Aḥwal, Mu’min al-Ṭāq. Sometimes his ḥadīths are recognized, and other times rejected. It is permissible for him to be brought out as a witness.
9 - سهيل بن زياد، أبو يحيى، الواسطي، وأمه بنت محمد بن النعمان، أبي جعفر الأحول، مؤمن الطاق. حديثه يعرف تارة، وينكر أخرى، ويجوز أن يخرج شاهدا.

267. Ja’far Bin Basheer, from Ruzeyq, who has reported the following: Abu Abdullah (asws) has said: ‘Lightning does not occur at all in the darkness of the night or the light of the day unless it is raining’.
جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ رُزَيْقٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلام) قَالَ
مَا أَبْرَقَتْ قَطُّ فِي ظُلْمَةِ لَيْلٍ وَ لَا ضَوْءِ نَهَارٍ إِلَّا وَ هِيَ مَاطِرَةٌ.

Hadith.1068 - Muhammad ibn Muslim asked Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) about a person who is harmed by an animal while he is praying. He (as) replied: "He should throw it away from him if he wishes, or bury it in the pebbles."
1068 - وَ سَأَلَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ: عَنِ اَلرَّجُلِ تُؤْذِيهِ اَلدَّابَّةُ وَ هُوَ يُصَلِّي قَالَ
«يُلْقِيهَا عَنْهُ إِنْ شَاءَ أَوْ يَدْفِنُهَا فِي اَلْحَصَى.

Hadith.217 - Muhammad ibn Muslim asked Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) about a man who has sores and wounds and becomes junub (ritually impure due to sexual discharge). Imam (as) said: 'There is no harm if he performs tayammum and does not make ghusl (ritual bath).'
217 - وَ سَأَلَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ: عَنِ اَلرَّجُلِ يَكُونُ بِهِ اَلْقُرُوحُ وَ اَلْجِرَاحَاتُ فَيُجْنِبُ فَقَالَ
«لاَ بَأْسَ بِأَنْ يَتَيَمَّمَ وَ لاَ يَغْتَسِلَ.

Hadith.277 - Muhammad ibn Muslim asked Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) about dyeing the hair, and He said: "The Messenger of Allah (sw) used to dye, and we still have some of his hair with us."
277 - وَ سَأَلَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ: عَنِ اَلْخِضَابِ فَقَالَ
«كَانَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ يَخْتَضِبُ وَ هَذَا شَعْرُهُ عِنْدَنَا.

Hadith.422 - Imam Musa ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim (as) was asked about a man who dies and whether he can be shrouded in three garments without a shirt (Qamis). Imam (as) said: "There is no problem with that, but having a shirt is more preferred to me."
422 - وَ سُئِلَ مُوسَى بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِمَا اَلسَّلاَمُ: عَنِ اَلرَّجُلِ يَمُوتُ أَ يُكَفَّنُ فِي ثَلاَثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ بِغَيْرِ قَمِيصٍ قَالَ
«لاَ بَأْسَ بِذَلِكَ وَ اَلْقَمِيصُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ.

Imam Baqir (a.s) said: “A warm welcome causes love and nearness to God, but a cold welcome causes animosity and becoming more distant from God.”

البشر الحسن وطلاقة الوجه مكسبة للمحبة وقربة من الله عز وجل، وعبوس الوجه وسوء البشر مكسبة للمقت وبعد من الله.

Hadith.839 - It was narrated from Ali ibn Bajil that He said
"I saw Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as), every time he prostrated and then raised his head, he would take the pebbles from his forehead and place them back on the ground."
839 - وَ رُوِيَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ بَجِيلٍ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ جَعْفَرَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ كُلَّمَا سَجَدَ فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ أَخَذَ اَلْحَصَى مِنْ جَبْهَتِهِ فَوَضَعَهُ عَلَى اَلْأَرْضِ.

Imam Baqir (a.s) said: “Whoever was given a grateful heart, a remembering tongue, a body persevering in the face of hardships, and a pious wife is given the best of this world and the Hereafter.”:

hadith 1213
Al-Sokuni told Imam Baqir (a.s): “How should I divide something and give it to my friends?” Imam Baqir (a.s) said: “Give to those who are religious, jurisprudent and nobler.”
عن السكوني قال
قلت لأبي جعفر (عليه السلام): إني ربما قسمت الشئ بين أصحابي أصلهم به، فكيف أعطيهم؟ فقال: أعطهم على الهجرة [في] الدين والفقه والفضل.

Imam Baqir (a.s) said that God the Almighty said: “Some of My servants are such that their religious affairs will not improve unless they get poor or sick.”

قال الله عز وجل: إن من عبادي المؤمنين لعبادا لا يصلح لهم أمر دينهم إلا بالفاقة والمسكنة والسقم في أبدانهم.

And by this isnad. He said
Al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as) said: If one prays five times in congregation in the day and night, then think well of him, and accept his testimony.
23 - وبهذا الاسناد، قال
قال الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام): من صلى خمس صلوات في اليوم والليلة في جماعة، فظنوا به خيرا، وأجيزوا شهادته (1).

In Al-Mahasin it is narrated that Imam Baqir (a.s) quoted on the authority of Imam Ali (a.s) (from one of his long sermons)
“There are four pillars for faith: perseverance, certitude, justice and unity.”
من كتاب المحاسن: عن أبي جعفر (عليه السلام) قال
قال علي (عليه السلام) في خطبة له طويلة: الإيمان على أربع دعائم: على الصبر، واليقين، والعدل، والتوحيد.

hadith 1294
Hadith.2860 - Hanan ibn Sadir narrated: I mentioned the House (the Ka'bah) to Abu Ja'far (as), Imam (as) said
"If they were to abandon it for a single year, they would not be given respite." In another narration, Imam (as) said: "Punishment would descend upon them."
2860 - رَوَى حَنَانُ بْنُ سَدِيرٍ قَالَ
ذَكَرْتُ لِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ اَلْبَيْتَ فَقَالَ «لَوْ عَطَّلُوهُ سَنَةً وَاحِدَةً لَمْ يُنَاظَرُوا ». وَ فِي خَبَرٍ آخَرَ: «لَيَنْزِلُ عَلَيْهِمُ اَلْعَذَابُ ».

4. Ali has narrated from his father from ‘Abdillah Ibn al-Mughira from Abi al-Sabbah that Abu Ja‘far (al-Jawad) (as) said
"Passing a sleepless night due to an illness is more rewarding than a whole year worshipping."
4ـ عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ أَبِي الصَّبَّاحِ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) سَهَرُ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ مَرَضٍ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ عِبَادَةِ سَنَةٍ.

Hadith.4659 - In the narration of Al-Sakooni from Ja'far ibn Muhammad from his father (as), he said
"There is no harm for a man to look at the hair of his mother, his sister, or his daughter."
4659 - وَ فِي رِوَايَةِ اَلسَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
"لاَ بَأْسَ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ اَلرَّجُلُ إِلَى شَعْرِ أُمِّهِ أَوْ أُخْتِهِ أَوِ اِبْنَتِهِ".

Hadith.1091 - Muhammad ibn Muslim narrated that Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) said
"There is no prayer for the one who does not attend the congregational prayer from among the neighbors of the mosque, except for someone who is ill or preoccupied."
1091 - وَ رَوَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «لاَ صَلاَةَ لِمَنْ لاَ يَشْهَدُ اَلصَّلاَةَ مِنْ جِيرَانِ اَلْمَسْجِدِ إِلاَّ مَرِيضٌ أَوْ مَشْغُولٌ.

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal in a marfu’ manner who has said the following
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘Serving food in a wedding ceremony for one or two days is an honor ; but for three days (it) is a show-off and for the sake of publicity.’”
3- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ رَفَعَهُ إِلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
الْوَلِيمَةُ يَوْمٌ وَيَوْمَانِ مَكْرُمَةٌ وَثَلاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ رِيَاءٌ وَسُمْعَةٌ.
