I asked him: "Can a man borrow money to perform Hajj if he has resources left behind to settle the debt in case something happens to him?" Imam (as) said: "Yes."

“I once wrote to abu Ja‘far (a.s.), that my aunt who is my travel-mate and the heat is severe for her while she is in the state of Ihram; if I can provide shadow for her and for myself. He (the Imam) wrote, ‘You can provide shadow just for her alone.’”

I wrote to Abu Ja'far the Second (as), saying: "My aunt is with me, and she is my travel companion. She suffers greatly from the heat when she is in Ihram. Do you permit me to use shade for both of us?" Imam (as) wrote back: "Shade her alone."

Asma bt. Umays had the Nifas [post-natal bleeding] of Muhammad b. Abi Bakr [after delivering him] and wanted to assume Ihram at Dhi al-Hulayfa so the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله ordered her to stuff pieces of cotton and rags [to stop the blood flow] and enter into Ihram [proclaim Talbiyya] for Hajj ...

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a woman who experiences Istihadah (kind of menses). He (the Imam) mentioned ’Asma’ bint ‘Umays and said, ’Asma’ gave birth to Muhammad ibn abu Bakr in al-Bayda’ and in the case of her giving birth there was blessing for women who give birth or experience Hayd (menses). The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, commanded her to use something like a diaper, secure it with a belt and assume the state of Ihram.”’

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘I once went out (for al-Hajj) with my family walking and did not assume the state of Ihram until al-Juhfah. I had complaints (due to difficulties). People of al-Madinah kept questioning me saying, ‘We met him with his (regular) clothes on him.’ They know that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has given permission to those who suffer from an illness or are weak to assume the state of Ihram at al-Juhfah.’”

"Asma bint Umays gave birth to Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr at al-Bayda, four days before the end of Dhu al-Qa‘dah, during the Farewell Pilgrimage. The Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) instructed her to perform ghusl, use a cloth to prevent the bleeding, enter the state of ihram, and recite the Talbiyah along with him and his companions. When they reached Mecca, she did not become purified until after they departed from Mina. However, she attended all the rites: Arafat, Muzdalifah, and stoning the Jamarat. She did not perform tawaf around the Kaaba or sa'i between Safa and Marwa. After they departed from Mina, the Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) instructed her to perform ghusl, after which she performed tawaf around the Kaaba and sa'i between Safa and Marwa. Her time in this state spanned from four days remaining in Dhu al-Qa‘dah, the ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah, and the three days of Tashreeq."
