8. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Khalid from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah ibn Mehran who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘If one [of you] drinks intoxicating liquor his Salat (prayer) is not accepted for forty days.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) مَنْ شَرِبَ مِنْكُمْ مُسْكِراً لَمْ تُقْبَلْ مِنْهُ صَلَاتُهُ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً .

6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Mu‘awiyah ibn Wahab who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about al-Bakhtaj (boiled juice). He (the Imam) said, ‘If it is sweet with an indication of two-thirds being evaporated and the owner also says that two- thirds have been evaporated, only one-third has remained, then you can drink it.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الْبُخْتُجِ فَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَ حُلْواً يَخْضِبُ الْإِنَاءَ وَ قَالَ صَاحِبُهُ قَدْ ذَهَبَ ثُلُثَاهُ وَ بَقِيَ الثُّلُثُ فَاشْرَبْهُ .

5. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Musa ibn Bakr from Zurarah ibn ‘A‘yan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘You can marry a skeptic but do not give in marriage to a skeptic; women follow their husband and he compels her into his religion.’”
5- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ بَكْرٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَعْيَنَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
تَزَوَّجُوا فِي الشُّكَّاكِ وَلا تُزَوِّجُوهُمْ فَإِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ تَأْخُذُ مِنْ أَدَبِ زَوْجِهَا وَيَقْهَرُهَا عَلَى دِينِهِ.

11. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Mansur from Hisham ibn Salim from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Be afraid of doing injustice; on the Day of Judgment there will be much darkness.’”
11ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) اتَّقُوا الظُّلْمَ فَإِنَّهُ ظُلُمَاتُ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ.

4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from ibn Faddal from Husayn ibn ‘Umar ibn Sulayman from Mu’awiyah ibn ‘Ammar from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Allah will rebuke in this world and in the next life a person who meets a believer in a reproachful manner.’”
4ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
مَنْ لَقِيَ أَخَاهُ بِمَا يُؤَنِّبُهُ أَنَّبَهُ الله فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Ali ibn al-Hakam from al-Husayn ibn abu al-‘Ala’ from abu ‘Abd Allah recipient of divine supreme covenant who has said the following
“Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, has not sent any prophet who would not be truthful in their words and trustworthy in returning the trust without discriminating between virtuous or otherwise people.”
1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَلاءِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِنَّ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَمْ يَبْعَثْ نَبِيّاً إِلا بِصِدْقِ الْحَدِيثِ وَأَدَاءِ الأمَانَةِ إِلَى الْبَرِّ وَالْفَاجِرِ.

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from Muhammad al-Wasitiy from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who said
“Ibrahim (a.s.) asked his Lord to give him a daughter who will weep and mourn for him after his death.”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلام) قَالَ
إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ (عليه السلام) سَأَلَ رَبَّهُ أَنْ يَرْزُقَهُ ابْنَةً تَبْكِيهِ وَ تَنْدُبُهُ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهِ .

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Khalid from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn ‘Umar ibn ‘Arafah who has said the following
“I heard abu al-Hassan (a.s.), saying, ‘You must ask (command) others to do good and prohibit them to commit evil, otherwise, the evil ones among you will be made your rulers and then the virtuous ones among you pray and their prayers will not be answered.’”
3- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَرَفَةَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ لَتَأْمُرُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلَتَنْهُنَّ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ أَوْ لَيُسْتَعْمَلَنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ شِرَارُكُمْ فَيَدْعُو خِيَارُكُمْ فَلا يُسْتَجَابُ لَهُمْ.

the book of Allāh – in it is an account of what came before you and a report of what will come after you and a judgment of what is between you (of differences) – and we do know it (all).

1. Muhammad b. Yahya from from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Isa from Ali b. al-Hakam from Dawud b. al-Nu’man from Mansur b. Hazim from Abu Abdillah (as) who said
“Whoever discriminates or supports discrimination, he has taken off the collar of belief from his neck.”

مَنْ تَعَصَّبَ أَوْ تُعُصِّبَ لَهُ فَقَدْ خَلَعَ رِبْقَةَ الإيمَانِ مِنْ عُنُقِهِ.

“Pride is the gown of Allah and whoever disputes Allah in anything about it, Allah will throw him into the fire.”

الْكِبْرُ رِدَاءُ الله فَمَنْ نَازَعَ الله شَيْئاً مِنْ ذَلِكَ أَكَبَّهُ الله فِي النَّارِ.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘ Abd Allah ibn Ali ibn ‘Amir from Ibrahim ibn al-Fadl from Ja‘far ibn Yahya from his father who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Eat eggplant because it removes illnesses and does not cause any illness/”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
كُلُوا الْبَاذَنْجَانَ فَإِنَّهُ يُذْهِبُ الدَّاءَ وَ لَا دَاءَ لَهُ .

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Dawud from those whom he has mentioned who has narrated the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that in the time of ’Amir al-Mu’minin a man died and had no heirs. ’Amir al-Mu’minin gave his legacy to his Hamshahrijah (his fellow countryman). 5 ”
1- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ دَاوُدَ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
مَاتَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَارِثٌ فَدَفَعَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) مِيرَاثَهُ إِلَى هَمْشَهْرِيجِهِ.
