4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Husayn ibn al-Mukhtar from some of our people, from Abu Ja’far (a.s.) regarding the words of Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High
“We gave them a great kingdom” (4:54): it means the obedience that is obligatory.”
4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْمُخْتَارِ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ ابي جعفر (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي قَوْلِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَآتَيْناهُمْ مُلْكاً عَظِيماً قَالَ

10. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from Ali ibn ‘Uqbah from abu Kahmas who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who because of forgetfulness made eight times Tawaf (walking around the House). He (the Imam) said, ‘If he remembers before reaching the corner he must stop it (the last round of walking around al-Ka’bah).”’
10ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي كَهْمَسٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) عَنْ رَجُلٍ نَسِيَ فَطَافَ ثَمَانِيَةَ أَشْوَاطٍ قَالَ إِنْ ذَكَرَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَبْلُغَ الرُّكْنَ فَلْيَقْطَعْهُ.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Khalid from al Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al Nadr ibn Suwayd from Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who is for al-Hajj al-Tamattu‘ (advantageous) and forgets Taqsir (cutting some hair or finger nails and so on) until he assumes the state of Ihram for al-Hajj. He (the Imam) said, ‘He must ask forgiveness from Allah.”’
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) عَنْ رَجُلٍ مُتَمَتِّعٍ نَسِيَ أَنْ يُقَصِّرَ حَتَّى أَحْرَمَ بِالْحَجِّ قَالَ
يَسْتَغْفِرُ الله.

5. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Mahbub from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has narrated the following: “About the case of a man who dies with debts on him and a guarantor takes responsibility to pay the creditors, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘
If the creditors agree, the deceased becomes free from responsibility.”’
5- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي الرَّجُلِ يَمُوتُ وَعَلَيْهِ دَيْنٌ فَيَضْمَنُهُ ضَامِنٌ لِلْغُرَمَاءِ قَالَ
إِذَا رَضِيَ الْغُرَمَاءُ فَقَدْ بَرِئَتْ ذِمَّةُ الْمَيِّتِ.

2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-Nadr ibn Suwayd, from Jarrah al-Mada’iniy, who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that on the day of al-Fitr, one should have food before salat (prayer); however, on the day of Adha’, one should not have any food until after the prayer leader leaves.”
2ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ جَرَّاحٍ الْمَدَائِنِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
لِيَطْعَمْ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ وَلا يَطْعَمْ يَوْمَ أَضْحًى حَتَّى يَنْصَرِفَ الإِمَامُ.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from abu Jamilah from Zayd al-Shahham who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘
If a sheep drinks wine until it is drunk, then is slaughtered in that condition, the contents of its inside are not edible.’”

لَا يُؤْكَلُ مَا فِي بَطْنِهَا .

17. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Husayn ibn Sa’id from al-Nadr ibn Suwayd from al-Qasim ibn Sulayman from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who said
"My father (a.s) said, “Whoever mixes up the Holy Quran becomes an unbeliever.’”
17ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ أَبِي (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) مَا ضَرَبَ رَجُلٌ الْقُرْآنَ بَعْضَهُ بِبَعْضٍ إِلا كَفَرَ.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad in a marfu‘ manner from abu Basir who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), Is there a definite time to pay Zakat? He (the Imam) said, ‘That depends on one’s earnings. However, the time for al-Fitrah is definite.”’
2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ رَفَعَهُ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
قُلْتُ لَهُ هَلْ لِلزَّكَاةِ وَقْتٌ مَعْلُومٌ تُعْطَى فِيهِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَيَخْتَلِفُ فِي إِصَابَةِ الرَّجُلِ الْمَالَ وَأَمَّا الْفِطْرَةُ فَإِنَّهَا مَعْلُومَةٌ.

10. It is a narration from him (narrator of previous Hadith) by Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from certain persons of our people from Zurarah who has said the following
“I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about al-Qiblah (al-Ka‘bah) for one who is confused. He (the Imam) said, ‘He performs as he wishes.’ It is also narrated that he performs Salah (prayer) facing four directions.”
10ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنْ قِبْلَةِ الْمُتَحَيِّرِ فَقَالَ يُصَلِّي حَيْثُ يَشَاءُ. وَرُوِيَ أَيْضاً أَنَّهُ يُصَلِّي إِلَى أَرْبَعِ جَوَانِبَ.

2. Abi (rah) from Abdillah b. Ja’far from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Ahmad from his father [from] Abdillah b. Sinan from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said
“One who does not spit in mosque and swallows it, would soon be cured of the disease from which he is suffering.”
أَبِی ره عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ [عَنْ] عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ
مَنْ تَنَخَّعَ فِی مَسْجِدٍ ثُمَّ رَدَّهَا فِی جَوْفِهِ لَمْ تَمُرَّ بِدَاءٍ إِلَّا أَبْرَأَتْهُ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from Marwan ibn Muslim from Muhammad ibn Shurayh who has said the following
“This is concerning my question before abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), about women’s going out for the two ‘Id. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, except old women wearing their pairs of shoes.’” (Consult Fatwah about this hadith)
1- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنْ خُرُوجِ النِّسَاءِ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ فَقَالَ لا إِلا عَجُوزٌ عَلَيْهَا مَنْقَلاهَا يَعْنِي الْخُفَّيْنِ.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If something appears on your skin like a pimple or so, you can bandage it and use ghee or oil as medicine.’”

إِنْ خَرَجَ بِالرَّجُلِ مِنْكُمُ الْخُرَاجُ أَوِ الدُّمَّلُ فَلْيَرْبِطْهُ وَلْيَتَدَاوَ بِزَيْتٍ أَوْ سَمْنٍ.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa’id from al-Nadr ibn Suwayd from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who becomes thirsty in the month of Ramadan. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful if he sucks his signet.’”
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) فِي الرَّجُلِ يَعْطَشُ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ قَالَ
لا بَأْسَ بِأَنْ يَمُصَّ الْخَاتَمَ.

أنه قال: توقعوا الصوت يأتيكم بغتة من قبل دمشق، فيه لكم فرج عظيم.

إِذَا كَانَ قَوْمٌ فِي مَجْلِسٍ ثُمَّ سَبَقَ قَوْمٌ فَدَخَلُوا فَعَلَى الدَّاخِلِ أَخِيراً إِذَا دَخَلَ أَنْ يُسَلِّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from abu Ayyub al-Khazzaz from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“I once asked Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about a man on whose body there are dimples or wounds and experiences sexual relation. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful if one does not take Ghusl (bath) in such condition, instead takes Tayammum.’’’
1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْخَزَّازِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَكُونُ بِهِ الْقَرْحُ وَالْجِرَاحَةُ يُجْنِبُ قَالَ لاَ بَأْسَ بِأَنْ لاَ يَغْتَسِلَ وَيَتَيَمَّمَ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from al-‘Ala’ ibn Razin from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“Abu Ja’far (a.s.) has said, ‘The man may hastily commit any evil deed and then (gradually) turn in disbelief, however, envy consumes belief (immediately) just as fire consumes firewood.”
1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ رَزِينٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَأْتِي بِأَيِّ بَادِرَةٍ فَيَكْفُرُ وَإِنَّ الْحَسَدَ لَيَأْكُلُ الإيمَانَ كَمَا تَأْكُلُ النَّارُ الْحَطَبَ.

“I heard abu Ja’far (a.s.) saying, ‘Anything that professing and submission carry is belief, and anything that denial and rejection carry is disbelief.’”
15ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ يَجُرُّهُ الإقْرَارُ وَالتَّسْلِيمُ فَهُوَ الإيمَانُ وَكُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ يَجُرُّهُ الإنْكَارُ وَالْجُحُودُ فَهُوَ الْكُفْرُ.

17 - حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن يحيى العطار رضي الله عنه، عن أبيه، عن سهل ابن زياد الآدمي، عن حمزة بن محمد، قال
كتبت إلى أبي الحسن عليه السلام أسأله عن الجسم والصورة، فكتب: سبحان من ليس كمثله شئ.

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘Making a will is a right that requires compliance. The Messenger of Allah (a.s.), made a will, thus it is proper for a Muslim to make a will.’”
5- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ رَزِينٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) الْوَصِيَّةُ حَقٌّ وَقَدْ أَوْصَى رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) فَيَنْبَغِي لِلْمُسْلِمِ أَنْ يُوصِيَ.
