“There is no believer except that within him is humour." I asked, "What is humour?". The Imam said, "Jokes."

I heard Aba Ja’far عليه السلام saying: From the matters are matters which are deferred with Allah. He brings forward from them what He wills and puts back from them what He wills.

“About the case of a man who rubs his body with flour and oil after lime, abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not harmful.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘When a man is under the guardianship of a man for him is his legacy and on him is the liability for wergild.’”

“A person who memorizes the Holy Quran and obeys its commandments is in the group of senior angels.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If you cannot join in Takbir (Allah is great beyond description) for Ruku‘ (bowing down on one’s knees) do not enter (congregational Salah (prayer)) in that Rak‘at.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘One has no belief if he does not have bashfulness.’”

the messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وآله said: sitting with the people of religion is an honour in the world and the hereafter.

'The most perfect of all perfection is a good understanding of religion, exercising patience during affliction and setting up of means of living.'

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Kalalah (burdensome people) is one who is not a son or a father.’”

“Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), when fasting would use perfumes and say that perfume is the gift of fasting person.’”

From among the signs of understanding are forbearance and silence.

O groups of Muslims. I admonish you against adultery since it has six characteristics: three in this world and three in the Hereafter. Those in this world are: it would take away happiness; bring poverty; and shorten one’s life. And those in the Hereafter are: it causes the Wrath of the Lord; it would make the Reckoning hard; and it results in residing in the Fire.”Then the Prophet (MGB) added, “Protect yourselves from God’s Wrath descending upon you and permanent residence in Hell.”

“I once asked abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘When the time for obligatory Salah (prayer) comes, can I perform optional Salah (prayer) or begin with obligatory Salah (prayer)?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘It is better to begin with the obligatory Salah (prayer).”’

"Fasting is based on sighting [the crescent], and breaking the fast is based on sighting [the crescent]. Sighting is not determined by one person, nor two, nor fifty."

"The woman inherits from the man, and then the man inherits from the woman."

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who has cattle; if he can sell their milk without measurement. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, he can do so until it stops (coming through the udder) or something similar.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘One’s fasting in a connected manner takes place when one fasts one day and night and takes breakfast in Sahar (in the morning before dawn) instead.’”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who performs Salah (prayer) with clothes of woman, with her loincloth and uses her veil as a turban. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is acceptable if she is trusted.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If a man makes a slave-girl bare and places his hand on her she becomes unlawful for his son.’”
