Hadith.3328 - It is narrated from Uthman ibn Isa, from some of our companions, from Abu Abdullah (as).
I said to Imam (as), "A man from my brothers has a testimony with me, but not all of it is admissible by the judges here." Imam (as) said: "If you know that it is true, then validate it in every possible way so that his right is established."
3328 - وَ رَوَى عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لَهُ يَكُونُ لِلرَّجُلِ مِنْ إِخْوَانِي عِنْدِي اَلشَّهَادَةُ لَيْسَ كُلُّهَا تُجِيزُهَا اَلْقُضَاةُ عِنْدَنَا قَالَ "إِذَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّهَا حَقٌّ فَصَحِّحْهَا بِكُلِّ وَجْهٍ حَتَّى يَصِحَّ لَهُ حَقُّهُ".

13. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Khattab al-‘A’War from abu Hamza who has said the following
“Abu Ja’far (a.s.) has said, ‘Maintaining good relations with relatives cleanses the deeds, repulses misfortunes, increases wealth, delays the coming of death, enlarges ones share of sustenance and brings love to the family. Therefore, one must be pious before Allah and maintain good relations with one’s relatives.’”
13ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ خَطَّابٍ الأعْوَرِ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) صِلَةُ الأرْحَامِ تُزَكِّي الأعْمَالَ وَتَدْفَعُ الْبَلْوَى وَتُنْمِي الأمْوَالَ وَتُنْسِئُ لَهُ فِي عُمُرِهِ وَتُوَسِّعُ فِي رِزْقِهِ وَتُحَبِّبُ فِي أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ فَلْيَتَّقِ الله وَلْيَصِلْ رَحِمَهُ.

3. Ali has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Husayn ibn al-Mukhtar from abu Basir who has said the following
“I once heard abu Ja‘far (a.s.), say, ‘Moses, son of ‘Imran, passed by the wide road in al- Rawha’ (a place between al-Madinah and Makkah), along with seventy prophets dressed with gowns made in al-Qatwan, near al-Kufa, Iraq, saying, “Here I am to obey Your command O Lord, Your servant, son of Your servant.’””
3ـ عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْمُخْتَارِ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) يَقُولُ مَرَّ مُوسَى بْنُ عِمْرَانَ فِي سَبْعِينَ نَبِيّاً عَلَى فِجَاجِ الرَّوْحَاءِ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعَبَاءُ الْقَطَوَانِيَّةُ يَقُولُ لَبَّيْكَ عَبْدُكَ ابْنُ عَبْدِكَ.

hadith 261
2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from and Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following
“I once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about the case of a man who says that on the day I will get married to so and so she is divorced. He (the Imam) said, ‘It does not have any valid effect until he has a binding marriage.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَقُولُ يَوْمَ أَتَزَوَّجُ فُلَانَةَ فَهِيَ طَالِقٌ فَقَالَ لَيْسَ بِشَيْ‏ءٍ إِنَّهُ لَا يَكُونُ طَلَاقٌ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ عُقْدَةَ النِّكَاحِ .

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa or a man from Hammad from Shu’ayb from abu Basir who has said the following: “Once abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about the case of a woman who is divorced three times; if she deserves maintenance and accommodation. He (the Imam) asked, ‘Is she pregnant?’ I replied, ‘No, she is not pregnant.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘
No, she does not deserve it.’”

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Shu’ayb from Ya’qub who has narrated the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who dies and about what is for him from his legacy. He (the Imam) said, ‘One third of his legacy is for him and this applies to a woman also.’”
3- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَمُوتُ مَا لَهُ مِنْ مَالِهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ ثُلُثُ مَالِهِ وَلِلْمَرْأَةِ أَيْضاً.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Hariz from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“About the case of the assets of orphans, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘One who uses the assets of the orphan in business is responsible and the profit belongs to the orphan, if the worker does not have anything of his own assets in it.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘This person is responsible to pay for any damage caused.’”
2- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي مَالِ الْيَتِيمِ قَالَ
الْعَامِلُ بِهِ ضَامِنٌ وَلِلْيَتِيمِ الرِّبْحُ إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ لِلْعَامِلِ بِهِ مَالٌ وَقَالَ إِنْ أُعْطِبَ أَدَّاهُ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Hariz from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“About the case of a man who says to another man, ‘Sell my cloth for ten dirham, if you sold for more, then the extra is for you.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful.’”
2- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام)
أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي رَجُلٍ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ بِعْ ثَوْبِي بِعَشَرَةِ دَرَاهِمَ فَمَا فَضَلَ فَهُوَ لَكَ فَقَالَ لَيْسَ بِهِ بَأْسٌ.

12. Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā narrated from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad, from al-‘Abbās ibn Ma‘rūf, from Ḥammād ibn ‘Īsā, from al-Haytham, from Muḥammad ibn Marwān, who said that Abū Ja‘far (AS) said to me
'Seek a wet nurse for your child from among the beautiful women, and avoid the ugly ones, for the milk can have an influence.'
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْهَيْثَمِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ قَالَ
قَالَ لِي أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) اسْتَرْضِعْ لِوَلَدِكَ بِلَبَنِ الْحِسَانِ وَ إِيَّاكَ وَ الْقِبَاحَ فَإِنَّ اللَّبَنَ قَدْ يُعْدِي .

2. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar and others from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Do not allow their prayers or fasts mislead you. A man may develop an attachment to praying or fasting so much so that without it he may feel frightened. Try them how truthful they are in their words or how reliable they are in returning the trust.’”
2ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ وَغَيْرِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
لا تَغْتَرُّوا بِصَلاتِهِمْ وَلا بِصِيَامِهِمْ فَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ رُبَّمَا لَهِجَ بِالصَّلاةِ وَالصَّوْمِ حَتَّى لَوْ تَرَكَهُ اسْتَوْحَشَ وَلَكِنِ اخْتَبِرُوهُمْ عِنْدَ صِدْقِ الْحَدِيثِ وَأَدَاءِ الأمَانَةِ.

Hadith.3733 - Uthman ibn Isa narrated from Muyassir who said
I said to Him (as): "A man comes to me and asks me to buy something for him, but what I have is better than what is available in the market. What should I do?" Imam (as) said: "If you are confident that he will not suspect you, then give him from what you have. But if you fear that he might suspect you, then buy for him from the market."
3733 - وَ رَوَى عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ مُيَسِّرٍ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لَهُ يَجِيئُنِي اَلرَّجُلُ فَيَقُولُ تَشْتَرِي لِي فَيَكُونُ مَا عِنْدِي خَيْراً مِنْ مَتَاعِ اَلسُّوقِ قَالَ "إِنْ أَمِنْتَ أَلاَّ يَتَّهِمَكَ فَأَعْطِهِ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ وَ إِنْ خِفْتَ أَنْ يَتَّهِمَكَ فَاشْتَرِ لَهُ مِنَ اَلسُّوقِ".

2. Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Ali, from ‘Isa al-Farra’ from ‘Abd Allah ibn abu Ya’fur who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, performed Hajj ten times secretly and every time when in al-Mazimin would disembark and pass water (it was the first place where idols were worshipped).”
2ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عِيسَى الْفَرَّاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
حَجَّ رَسُولُ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) عَشْرَ حِجَّاتٍ مُسْتَسِرّاً فِي كُلِّهَا يَمُرُّ بِالْمَأْزِمَيْنِ فَيَنْزِلُ وَيَبُولُ.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa ibn ‘Ubayd from Muhammad ibn ‘Arafah who has said the following
“Abu al-Hassan al-Rida (a.s.), has said, ‘O ibn ‘Arafah, bounties are like guarded camels around drinking water. It is up to people to maintain good relations with the camel. If they fail to keep the good relations, the camel runs away from them.’”
1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَرَفَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) يَا ابْنَ عَرَفَةَ إِنَّ النِّعَمَ كَالإِبِلِ الْمُعْتَقَلَةِ فِي عَطَنِهَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ مَا أَحْسَنُوا جِوَارَهَا فَإِذَا أَسَاءُوا مُعَامَلَتَهَا وَإِنَالَتَهَا نَفَرَتْ عَنْهُمْ.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Husayn al- Qalanisiy or certain persons of his people who has narrated the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A servant (of Allah) can make the exception up to forty days if he forgets.’”

لِلْعَبْدِ أَنْ يَسْتَثْنِيَ فِي الْيَمِينِ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْماً إِذَا نَسِيَ.

7. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following
“I once asked abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who does not experience any wet dream but he finds wet spots on his thigh and his clothes. Is Ghusl (bath) necessary for him? He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, Ghusl (bath) is necessary.”
7ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَنَامُ وَلَمْ يَرَ فِي نَوْمِهِ أَنَّهُ احْتَلَمَ فَيَجِدُ فِي ثَوْبِهِ وَعَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْمَاءَ هَلْ عَلَيْهِ غُسْلٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ.

2. Ahmad has narrated from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following
“I once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about a man on whose body there are sores or wounds which he cannot bandage or wash the blood. He (the Imam) said, ‘He can perform his Salah (prayer) without washing his clothes except once a day; he cannot wash his clothes every hour.’”
2ـ أَحْمَدُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ بِهِ الْقَرْحُ أَوِ الْجُرْحُ وَلاَ يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَرْبِطَهُ وَلاَ يَغْسِلَ دَمَهُ قَالَ يُصَلِّي وَلاَ يَغْسِلُ ثَوْبَهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ إِلاَّ مَرَّةً فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَغْسِلَ ثَوْبَهُ كُلَّ سَاعَةٍ.

14. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, performed three ‘Umrah in the month of Dhu al-Qa’dah; all of them coincided with his al-‘Umrah in the month of Dhu al-Qa’dah.”
14ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
ذُكِرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) اعْتَمَرَ فِي ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ ثَلاثَ عُمَرٍ كُلُّ ذَلِكَ يُوَافِقُ عُمْرَتُهُ ذَا الْقَعْدَةِ.

Hadith.5746 - Hammad ibn Isa narrated from Rabiʿ ibn Abdullah from Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) who said
"When a man dies, his sword, his Qur'an, his ring, his books, his saddle, and his clothing belong to his eldest child. If the eldest is a daughter, then they belong to the eldest of the sons."
5746 - رَوَى حَمَّادُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
"إِذَا مَاتَ اَلرَّجُلُ فَسَيْفُهُ وَ مُصْحَفُهُ وَ خَاتَمُهُ وَ كُتُبُهُ وَ رَحْلُهُ وَ كِسْوَتُهُ لِأَكْبَرِ وُلْدِهِ فَإِنْ كَانَ اَلْأَكْبَرُ اِبْنَةً فَلِلْأَكْبَرِ مِنَ اَلذُّكُورِ ".

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the most excellent time for al-Witr. He (the Imam) said, ‘Dawn is the beginning of it.”
23ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ وَحَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنْ أَفْضَلِ سَاعَاتِ الْوَتْرِ فَقَالَ الْفَجْرُ أَوَّلُ ذَلِكَ.
