“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If a man who is absent from his wife wants to divorce her, he can do so and he must leave her for one month.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that one who leaves Makkah with an intention not to return to Makkah again, (must take notice that) his death has come very near as well as torment for him/”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who is in the state of Ihram and his mother kisses him. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful; it is a kiss of blessing, only kissing with lust is despised.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘When you eat food say, ‘In the name of Allah’ at its beginning and at its end’; when a servant says it before he eats, Satan cannot eat with him; but if he did not mention the name of Allah, Satan eats with him. If he then says, ‘In the name of Allah’ after he begins and Satan had been eating with him, Satan then throws up what he had eaten.’”

“About a man who pays another man to perform al-Hajj but something happens to him, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If he (the second man) goes for al-Hajj and something happens somewhere on the way, it is sufficient for the first one.’”

Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Every day some drops (of water) fall from Paradise into the Euphrates (River).

“I asked abu al-Hassan about al-Khums. He said, “It is due on all small and large gains that people make.”

“I heard Abū Jaʿfar (a) say, ‘There is no drop more beloved to Allah than the drop of blood [that is shed] in the way of Allah, or the teardrop that rolls down from the eye in the darkness of night, out of fear of Allah. And there is no step more beloved to Allah than the step taken towards a near relative, or a step by which a march in the way of Allah may be completed. And there is no gulp more beloved to Allah than the anger which is swallowed, or the gulp that is swallowed by a servant in response to his calamity [as he patiently bears it to please Allah].’”’”

“I saw abu al-Hassan, Musa (a.s.), performing the two Rak‘at Salat (prayer) after obligatory Tawaf in front of Maqam (station) of Ibrahim ‘Alayhi al-Salam, near the shadow of the Masjid.”

“I asked abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) about the words of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most gracious. “To those who have said, “God is our Lord, “ and who have remained steadfast to their belief,. .” (41:30) The Imam (a.s.) said, “It refers to those who remained steadfast in their belief of Leadership with Divine Authority of the Imams one after the other,” “ the angels will descend saying, “Do not be afraid or grieved. Receive the glad news of the Paradise which was promised to you. (41:30)”

“I once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about the case of a woman who dies. He (the Imam) said, ‘Her husband can reach out with his hand under her shirt up to the elbows.’”

“I once asked abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), about those who are killed in the way of Allah, are Ghusl (bath), shroud and hunut done for them? He (the Imam) said, ‘They are buried as they are found in their clothes, unless found alive, then die in which case Ghusl (bath), shroud, hunut and Salah (prayer) are done for them. The Messenger of Allah performed Salah (prayer) for Hamzah and his body was placed in the shroud because his clothes were looted.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Once in the month of Ramadan ‘Umm Salamah complained of illness of her eyes. The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, commanded her to eat, saying, ‘Not to eat until supper can cause the demise of your eyes.’”

“I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a woman who fasts as Qada’ (compensatory fast) for the fast of the month of Ramadan and her husband forces her to invalidate her fast. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not proper for him to do so after Zawal (declining of the sun toward the west at noontime)/”

“I once said to abu al-Hassan (a.s.), that my woman had placed upon herself fasting for two months. She gave birth; then became pregnant. She is not able to fast. He (the Imam) said, ‘She is required to pay charity of one mud (certain measurement) for everyday to a destitute person.’”

Abu Abdullah (asws) having said: ‘In the Paradise is a river on banks of which are Houries are thriving. So if the Believer passes by one of them, and she pleases him, he uproots her (takes her away). So Allah (azwj) Mighty and Majestic Implants another one in her place’.

“I once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about a man who performs Salah (prayer) but does not know if he is in the third or fourth Rak‘at. He (the Imam) said, ‘It depends on what his guessing indicates. If he according to his guess thinks it is the third or fourth he accepts it along with his soul, then performs two Rak‘at in which he reads al-Fatihah al-Kitab only.”’

“I once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about a man who performs Salah (prayer) with a people and he thinks it is the first (al-Dhuhr) but it is al-‘Asr. He (the Imam) said, ‘He considers it the first and perform al-‘Asr.’” In another Hadith it is said, ‘If he knows that it is al-‘Asr and has not performed the one before, he is not to join them.”’

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that if you perform Salah (prayer) with a people and the Imam reads bisme rabbik (Chapter 96) or something of al-‘Aza’im, completes his reading and does not do Sajdah (prostration), you just make a gesture for it. A woman experiencing Hayd (menses) must perform Sajdah (prostration) when listening to such reading.’”

“Whoever after an obligatory prayer and before moving his legs to a second position says, ‘I plead before Allah for forgiveness, no one deserves to be worshipped except Allah, the Living, the Guardian, the Possessor of Glory and Honor and to Him I return,’ three times Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, will forgive his sins even if they are as much as the bubbles of the ocean.’”
