6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from and A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Ash‘ariy from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘When boys become ten years old, their bed must be separated from women.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
يُفَرَّقُ بَيْنَ الْغِلْمَانِ وَ النِّسَاءِ فِي الْمَضَاجِعِ إِذَا بَلَغُوا عَشْرَ سِنِينَ .

13. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Ash’ari from ibn al-Qaddah from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘The repentance of a servant (of Allah) from sins pleases Allah, the Majestic, the Glorious, more than a person’s finding a dearly cherished thing that he has lost.’”
13ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الأشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِنَّ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَفْرَحُ بِتَوْبَةِ عَبْدِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِ إِذَا تَابَ كَمَا يَفْرَحُ أَحَدُكُمْ بِضَالَّتِهِ إِذَا وَجَدَهَا.

6. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja’far ibn Muhammad al- Ash’ari from ibn al-Qaddah from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Luqman (who is mentioned in Chapter 3 1 of the Holy Quran) said to his son, ‘My son, if you think speaking is silver, note it down that silence is gold.’”
6ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الأشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ لُقْمَانُ لإبْنِهِ يَا بُنَيَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ زَعَمْتَ أَنَّ الْكَلامَ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ فَإِنَّ السُّكُوتَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja‘far ibn Muhammad al-Ash‘ariy from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ’Drink water in a sipping manner but do not gulp and pour it down at once; it may cause liver illness.”’
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) مَصُّوا الْمَاءَ مَصّاً وَ لَا تَعُبُّوهُ عَبّاً فَإِنَّهُ يُوجَدُ مِنْهُ الْكُبَادُ .

11. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja‘far ibn Muhammad al-Ash'ari from Ibn al-Qaddah that Abu 'Abdillah (al-Sadiq) (as) said that Amir al-Mu'minin (as) said
"Rasulullah (sw) sent on an expedition to demolish the graves and destroy pictures."

قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) فِي هَدْمِ الْقُبُورِ وَ كَسْرِ الصُّوَرِ .

6. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad all from Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Ash‘ariy from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘Crowing of the rooster is its Salat (prayer) and flipping of its wings is its Ruku’ (bowing down on one’s knees) and Sujud (prostrations).”’
عَنْهُ وَ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ جَمِيعاً عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( صلوات الله عليه ) صِيَاحُ الدِّيكِ صَلَاتُهُ وَ ضَرْبُهُ بِجَنَاحِهِ رُكُوعُهُ وَ سُجُودُهُ .

10. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Ash’ari from ibn al-Qaddah from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Amir al-Mu’minin, Ali ibn abu Talib (a.s.) has said, ‘Whoever believes in Allah and in the Day of Judgment must not stay in a place that casts doubt on one’s credentials and make them murky.’”
10ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الأشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِالله وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَلا يَقُومُ مَكَانَ رِيبَةٍ.

17. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Ash’ari from ‘Abd Allah ibn Maymun al-Qaddah from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Amir al-Mu’minin (Ali ibn abu Talib) (a.s.) has said, ‘A believer is easy to associate with and there is nothing good in one who does not associate with others or is associated with.’”
17ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الأشْعَرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) الْمُؤْمِنُ مَأْلُوفٌ وَلا خَيْرَ فِيمَنْ لا يَأْلَفُ وَلا يُؤْلَفُ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Abu Ja‘far ibn Muhammad al-Ash‘ariy from ibn al-Qaddah who has narrated the following
“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), disliked shaving the head of a child a little and leaving the top middle of the head unshaved, which is called a/-Qaza’.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) أَنَّهُ
كَانَ يَكْرَهُ الْقَزَعَ فِي رُءُوسِ الصِّبْيَانِ وَ ذَكَرَ أَنَّ الْقَزَعَ أَنْ يُحْلَقَ الرَّأْسُ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا وَ يُتْرَكَ وَسَطُ الرَّأْسِ يُسَمَّى الْقَزَعَةَ .

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ja’far ibn ‘Abd Allah al-Ash’ariy from ibn al-Qaddah, from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.), who said
"The Messenger of Allah (sw) would first break his fast during the season of fresh dates with fresh dates, and during the season of dates, he would use dates.”
6ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله الأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
كَانَ رَسُولُ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) أَوَّلُ مَا يُفْطِرُ عَلَيْهِ فِي زَمَنِ الرُّطَبِ الرُّطَبُ وَفِي زَمَنِ التَّمْرِ التَّمْرُ.

5. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ibn Faddal from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following
“About the case of a man who ate clay ’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), prohibited and said, ‘Do not eat clay; if you eat clay and die, you have helped to murder yourself.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
قِيلَ لِأَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) فِي رَجُلٍ يَأْكُلُ الطِّينَ فَنَهَاهُ فَقَالَ لَا تَأْكُلْهُ فَإِنْ أَكَلْتَهُ وَ مِتَّ كُنْتَ قَدْ أَعَنْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ .

11. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Ash’ariy from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah, from his ancestors from Ali (a.s.), has stated this Hadith. ‘Beware of debts; it humiliates during the day and causes sadness during the night and it is payable both in this world and in the hereafter.’”
11- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الأشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنْ آبَائِهِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِيَّاكُمْ وَالدَّيْنَ فَإِنَّهُ مَذَلَّةٌ بِالنَّهَارِ وَمَهَمَّةٌ بِاللَّيْلِ وَقَضَاءٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَقَضَاءٌ فِي الآخِرَةِ.

2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Ash’ariy from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘When anyone of you goes to bed (for sexual intercourse) with his wife, he must not go like birds do. He must stay in and persist.’ Certain ones have said that one must linger.”
2- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الأشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) إِذَا جَامَعَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلا يَأْتِيهِنَّ كَمَا يَأْتِي الطَّيْرُ لِيَمْكُثْ وَلْيَلْبَثْ قَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ وَلْيَتَلَبَّثْ.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has stated this Hadith. ‘Once, hot food was brought to the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause. He (the Messenger of Allah) said, ‘Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, is not the one to feed us what is similar to fire. Wait, until it becomes cold’, thus, it was left to become cold.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) بِطَعَامٍ حَارٍّ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لَمْ يُطْعِمْنَا النَّارَ نَحُّوهُ حَتَّى يَبْرُدَ فَتُرِكَ حَتَّى بَرَدَ .

11. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from ibn Faddal from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘If one applies eye powder, he must do it once because it is good; and if he did not do so it is not harmful.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( صلوات الله عليه ) مَنِ اكْتَحَلَ فَلْيُوتِرْ وَ مَنْ فَعَلَ فَقَدْ أَحْسَنَ وَ مَنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ فَلَا بَأْسَ .

3. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja‘far ibn Muhammad al-Ash‘ariy from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Jibril continued urging me to brush so much so that I feared of becoming toothless or wearing them thin.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) مَا زَالَ جَبْرَئِيلُ ( عليه السلام ) يُوصِينِي بِالسِّوَاكِ حَتَّى خَشِيتُ أَنْ أَدْرَدَ وَ أُحْفِيَ .

9. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ja‘far ibn Muhammad al-Ash‘ariy from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that once a man came to the Holy Prophet (saww) and said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, a son is born to me, what should I name him?’ The Messenger of Allah replied, ‘Name him with the most beloved of names to me; Hamza.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وُلِدَ لِي غُلَامٌ فَمَاذَا أُسَمِّيهِ قَالَ سَمِّهِ بِأَحَبِّ الْأَسْمَاءِ إِلَيَّ حَمْزَةَ .

7. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Ash’ari from ibn al-Qaddah from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Whoever asks from Allah favors for me (in the form of al-Salat ), Allah grants him favors and the angels pray for him. It is up to people to perform this (noble) act very little or a great deal.’”
7ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الأشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيَّ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَمَلائِكَتُهُ وَمَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيُقِلَّ وَمَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيُكْثِرْ.

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘The good deed with the quickest reward is maintaining good relations with relatives.’”
15ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الأشْعَرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) إِنَّ أَعْجَلَ الْخَيْرِ ثَوَاباً صِلَةُ الرَّحِمِ.
