3. [3/389] al-Kafi: A number of our companions from Ahmad b. Muhammad al-Barqi from al-Qasim b. Yahya from his grandfather al-Hasan b. Rashid from Abi al-Hasan Musa b. Ja’far عليه السلام. He (al-Hasan) said
He (the Imam) was asked about the meaning of Allah so he said: The one who rules over what is lowly and great.

Hadith.3266 - In the narration of Ahmad ibn Abi Abdillah al-Barqi, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) said: "It is obligatory upon the Imam to imprison the corrupt among the scholars, the ignorant among the physicians, and the bankrupt among those who rent out property." And Imam (as) also said: "Imprisonment by the Imam after the implementation of the legal punishment is oppression."
3266 - وَ فِي رِوَايَةِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ اَلْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ : "يَجِبُ عَلَى اَلْإِمَامِ أَنْ يَحْبِسَ اَلْفُسَّاقَ مِنَ اَلْعُلَمَاءِ وَ اَلْجُهَّالَ مِنَ اَلْأَطِبَّاءِ وَ اَلْمَفَالِيسَ مِنَ اَلْأَكْرِيَاءِ" وَ قَالَ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ "حَبْسُ اَلْإِمَامِ بَعْدَ اَلْحَدِّ ظُلْمٌ".

hadith 665
2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu ‘Abd Allah al-Barqiy in a marfu’ manner from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn abu ‘Abd Allah who has said the following
“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of exchanging yarns for expanded fabrics while the yarn is heavier than fabrics in weight. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful.’”
2- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَرْقِيِّ رَفَعَهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنْ بَيْعِ الْغَزْلِ بِالثِّيَابِ الْمَبْسُوطَةِ وَالْغَزْلُ أَكْثَرُ وَزْناً مِنَ الثِّيَابِ قَالَ لا بَأْسَ.

7. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Barqiy from ibn Sinan from ’Isma‘il ibn Jabir who has said the following
“I asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the water which does not become unclean by anything. He (the Imam) replied, ‘It is one Kur.’ I then asked, ‘How much is one Kur?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘It is three shibr by three shibr in size.’”
7ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الْمَاءِ الَّذِي لاَ يُنَجِّسُهُ شَيْ‏ءٌ قَالَ كُرٌّ قُلْتُ وَمَا الْكُرُّ قَالَ ثَلاَثَةُ أَشْبَارٍ فِي ثَلاَثَةِ أَشْبَارٍ.

6. Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa has narrated from al-Barqiy from Ja’far ibn Bashir from Musa ibn Bakr al-Wasitiy who has said the following
“I once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about a man who borrows for al-Hajj. He (the Imam) said, ‘If he leaves behind an asset that can pay off his debt in case something happens to him, then it is not harmful.’”
6ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ بَكْرٍ الْوَاسِطِيِّ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَسْتَقْرِضُ وَيَحُجُّ فَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَ خَلْفَ ظَهْرِهِ مَالٌ إِنْ حَدَثَ بِهِ حَدَثٌ أُدِّيَ عَنْهُ فَلا بَأْسَ.

hadith 282
28-74 (The author of the book narrated) my father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Sa’d ibn Abdullah quoted on the authority of Ahmad ibn Abi Abdillah al-Barqi, on the authority of Ali ibn Muyyasir, on the authority of Abi Zayd al-Maleki that he had heard Abul Hassan Al-Ridha (s) say, “
No one but a donkey would reject honoring and respect.” The Imam (s) was referring to good scent and a comfortable couch for resting on.
74 - حَدَّثَنا أَبي رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّه، عَن أَحْمَدِ بْنِ أَبي عَبْدِ اللَّه البَرْقِي، عَن‏ميسر، عَن أَبي زِيْد المالكي قالَ

hadith 1131
50. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Barqi from his father from Muhammad ibn al-Fudayl from abu Hamza from abu Ja‘far (a.s.) about the words of Allah, the Most High.
“. . two groups who dispute with each other about their Lord. For the unbelievers (in Wilaya of Imam Ali (Leadership with Divine Authority) the garment of fire has already been prepared.. .” (22:19)”
50ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفُضَيْلِ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ ابي جعفر (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام)
فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى هذانِ خَصْمانِ اخْتَصَمُوا فِي رَبِّهِمْ فَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِوَلايَةِ عَلِيٍّ قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيابٌ مِنْ نارٍ.

2-104 Ahmad ibn Harun al-Fami and Ja’far ibn Muhammad ibn Masroor - may God be pleased with them - narrated that Muhammad ibn Ja’far ibn Bat’tat quoted Ahmad ibn Aba Abdullah al-Barqy, on the authority of his father who linked it up to Aba Abdullah as-Sadiq (MGB)
“A greedy man isdeprived of two characteristics and has two characteristics. He is deprived of contentment and has lost comfort. He is deprived of being pleased (with God’s Judgement) and has lost certitude.”
2-104 حدثنا أحمد بن هارون الفامي قال: حدثنا محمد بن جعفر بن بطة قال: حدثنا أحمد بن أبي عبد الله البرقي، عن أبيه يرفعه إلى أبي عبد الله عليه الســـلامقال
حرم الحريص خصلتين، ولزمته خصلتان: حرم القناعة فافتقد الراحة، وحرم الرضا فافتقد اليقين

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Khalid al-Barqiy from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad al-Jawhariy from abu Sa‘id from al-Ahwal who has said the following
“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the minimum amount of mahr (dower) in al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage). He (the Imam) said, ‘It can be a handful of wheat.’”
2- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الأحْوَلِ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) أَدْنَى مَا يَتَزَوَّجُ بِهِ الْمُتْعَةَ قَالَ كَفٌّ مِنْ بُرٍّ.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Barqi from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Hisham ibn Salim from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), who said the following
“Allah is by far Gracious and beyond ordering people to do what they are not capable of doing. Allah is by far Majestic and beyond a situation wherein things may exist in His kingdom that He does not want.”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
الله أَكْرَمُ مِنْ أَنْ يُكَلِّفَ النَّاسَ مَا لا يُطِيقُونَ وَالله أَعَزُّ مِنْ أَنْ يَكُونَ فِي سُلْطَانِهِ مَا لا يُرِيدُ.

1-37 Muhammad ibn Ali Majiluyih - may God have Mercy upon him - narrated that his uncle Muhammad ibn Abil-Qasim quoted on the authority of Ahmad ibn Aba Abdullah al-Barqy, on the authority of Ali ibn Hisan that someone narrated that Aba Abdullah as-Sadiq (MGB) said, “

2. A number of our people has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Barqi from his father from ‘Abdullah ibn Mughirah and Muhammad ibn Sinan from Talha ibn Zayd from abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) about this verse.
“Do not scornfully turn your face away from people. .” (31:18) ‘so that people would all be equal in matters of knowledge.’”

لِيَكُنِ النَّاسُ عِنْدَكَ فِي الْعِلْمِ سَوَاءً.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘ Abd Allah al-Barqiy from Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Sulayman from abu Ayyub al-Madiniy from Sulayman ibn Ja‘far al-Ja‘fariy who has said the following
“Abu al-Hassan, al-Rida’ (a.s.), has said, ‘On each wing of the Hoopoe in Assyrian language it is written, ‘Family of Muhammad are the best of creatures.’”
