3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Mu’ammar ibn Khallad who has said the following
“I once heard al-Rida’ (a.s.), saying, ‘Three things are of the traditions of the Messengers (of Allah): use of perfume, trimming hairs and ampleness of (relation in) marriage.’”
3- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُعَمَّرِ بْنِ خَلادٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُوسَى الرِّضَا (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ ثَلاثٌ مِنْ سُنَنِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ الْعِطْرُ وَأَخْذُ الشَّعْرِ وَكَثْرَةُ الطَّرُوقَةِ.

hadith 2104
1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Mu’ammar ibn Khallad who has said the following
“Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said, ‘If one comes to know of three things he will not ignore them. They are clipping hairs, rolling up clothes and going to bed with slave-girls.”’
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُعَمَّرِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ عَرَفَهُنَّ لَمْ يَدَعْهُنَّ جَزُّ الشَّعْرِ وَ تَشْمِيرُ الثِّيَابِ وَ نِكَاحُ الْإِمَاءِ .

hadith 137
1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Shadhan ibn Khalil al-Naysaburiy from Mu’ammar ibn ‘Umar who has said the following
“Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said, ’For wiping the head it is sufficient to wipe a portion of it the size of three fingers and so also is the case of the feet.’”
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ شَاذَانَ بْنِ الْخَلِيلِ النَّيْسَابُورِيِّ عَنْ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
يُجْزِئُ مِنَ الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الرَّأْسِ مَوْضِعُ ثَلاَثِ أَصَابِعَ وَكَذَلِكَ الرِّجْلُ.

I heard him (i.e. the Imam) saying: It is incumbent on a man when he wakes up (in the morning) that he recite after the Taʿqīb (post dawn-prayer supplications) fifty verses

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hajjal from Tha’labah ibn Maymun from Ma‘mar ibn ‘Umar who has said the following
“I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about one suffering from illness if one is required to perform one’s Salah (prayer) again which is missed during the time of fainting condition. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, one is not required to perform such Salah (prayer) again.’”
2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الْمَرِيضِ يَقْضِي الصَّلاَةَ إِذَا أُغْمِيَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ لاَ.

3. Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s.) says, “Salaat of Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-e-Qurbaan can be offered only in congregation.”
وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَهَ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ یَحْیَی وَ زُرَارَهَ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ع لَا صَلَاهَ یَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَ الْأَضْحَی إِلَّا مَعَ إِمَامٍ.

4. Abu Ali al-Ash’ari has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from ibn Faddal from Tha’labah from Mu’ammar ibn ‘Umar ibn ‘Ata’ from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following
“Pride is the gown of Allah. An arrogant person (assuming arrogance) disputes Allah about His gown.”
4ـ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ عَنْ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
الْكِبْرُ رِدَاءُ الله وَالْمُتَكَبِّرُ يُنَازِعُ الله رِدَاءَهُ.

Hadith.614 - It is narrated from Ma'mar ibn Yahya, who said
I heard Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) say: "If you perform the five daily prayers, you will not be questioned about any other prayer, and if you observe the fast of the month of Ramadan, you will not be questioned about any other fasting."
614 - وَ رُوِيَ عَنْ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ يَحْيَى قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ يَقُولُ: «إِذَا جِئْتَ بِالْخَمْسِ اَلصَّلَوَاتِ لَمْ تُسْأَلْ عَنْ صَلاَةٍ وَ إِذَا جِئْتَ بِصَوْمِ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ لَمْ تُسْأَلْ عَنْ صَوْمٍ.

H 482 - It is narrated from Abbas bin Yazid Bahrani from Abdur Razzaq bin Hammam from Muammar from Ibn Tawus from Ali bin Abdullah bin Abbas that he said
“The Mahdi will not reappear till a sign appears with the Sun.”
482- عنه، عن العباس بن يزيد البحراني، عن عبد الرزاق بن همام، عن معمر، عن ابن طاوس، عن علي بن عبد الله بن عباس قال
لا يخرج المهدي حتى يطلع مع الشمس آية.

hadith 61
59. Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muammar Bin Khallaad, who has narrated the following
Al-Ridha (asws) has said that the Rasool (saww) of Allah (azwj) used to say to his (saww) companions in the morning: ‘Is there anything from the good news?’, meaning by it, the dreams’.
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَمَّرِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ عَنِ الرِّضَا (عليه السلام) قَالَ
إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ (صلى الله عليه وآله) كَانَ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ قَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ هَلْ مِنْ مُبَشِّرَاتٍ يَعْنِي بِهِ الرُّؤْيَا.

8. Through the same chain of narrators it is narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Mu‘ammar ibn Khallad who has said that
a man from Persia asked Imam abu al-Hassan (a.s.) “Is obedience to you obligatory?” The Imam (a.s.) replied, “Yes, it is obligatory.” The man then asked is in the same way as obedience to Amir al-Mu’minin Ali ibn abu Talib (a.s.)?” The Imam (a.s.) replied “Yes, it is obligatory in the same way,”
8ـ وَبِهَذَا الاسْنَادِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَمَّرِ بْنِ خَلادٍ قَالَ
سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ فَارِسِيٌّ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فَقَالَ طَاعَتُكَ مُفْتَرَضَةٌ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ مِثْلُ طَاعَةِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فَقَالَ نَعَمْ.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Mu’ammar ibn Khallad who has said the following
“I heard abu al-Hassan al-Rida (a.s.) saying, ‘A great deal of prayer and fasting only are not (everything in) worship. Worship is only in thinking about the affairs of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy.’”
4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُعَمَّرِ بْنِ خَلادٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ لَيْسَ الْعِبَادَةُ كَثْرَةَ الصَّلاةِ وَالصَّوْمِ إِنَّمَا الْعِبَادَةُ التَّفَكُّرُ فِي أَمْرِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.

13. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Mu’ammar ibn Khallad who has said the following
“I heard Abu al-Hassan (a.s.) saying, ‘One’s praising Allah for His granting him bounties is considered his expressing thanks to Allah and expressing the praise of Allah, is better than the bounties one has received.’”
13ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُعَمَّرِ بْنِ خَلادٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ صَلَوَاتُ الله عَلَيْهِ يَقُولُ مَنْ حَمِدَ الله عَلَى النِّعْمَةِ فَقَدْ شَكَرَهُ وَكَانَ الْحَمْدُ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ تِلْكَ النِّعْمَةِ.

12. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Mu’amar ibn Khallad who has said the following
“Once I asked Abu al-Hassan (a.s.) about standing up to salute the rulers (to show respect). He said that Abu Ja’far (a.s.) has said, 'Al-Taqiyyah is from my religion (belief) and the religion (belief) of my forefathers, and whoever disregards al-Taqiyyah has no belief.'"
12ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَمَّرِ بْنِ خَلادٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) عَنِ الْقِيَامِ لِلْوُلاةِ فَقَالَ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) التَّقِيَّةُ مِنْ دِينِي وَدِينِ آبَائِي وَلا إِيمَانَ لِمَنْ لا تَقِيَّةَ لَهُ.

7. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Mu’ammar ibn Khallad who has said the following
“I once asked abu al-Hassan al-Rida’ (a.s.), about the case of a man who marries a woman in the manner of al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) and then takes her from one town to another town. He (the Imam) said, ‘Another marriage is permissible but this is not permissible/”
7- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَمَّرِ بْنِ خَلادٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَتَزَوَّجُ الْمَرْأَةَ مُتْعَةً فَيَحْمِلُهَا مِنْ بَلَدٍ إِلَى بَلَدٍ فَقَالَ يَجُوزُ النِّكَاحُ الآخَرُ وَلا يَجُوزُ هَذَا.

I heard Aba al-Hasan al-Ridha عليه السلام saying: worship is not excessive prayers or fasting, worship is reflecting over the affair of Allāh Mighty and Majestic.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Mu’ammar ibn Khallad who has said the following
“Dawud ibn Zurbiy complained against his son before abu al-Hassan (a.s.), because of what he had destroyed. He (the Imam) said, ‘Reform and reclaim him; a value of a hundred thousand is not important compared to the bounty that Allah has bestowed up on you.’”

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hajjal from Tha’labah from Mu’ammar ibn Yahya who has said the following
“I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about the case of a woman experiencing Hayd (menses) becomes clean at the time of al-‘Asr must she perform al-Salah (prayer) before (al-‘Asr)? He (the Imam) said, ‘No, she is required to perform only al-Salah (prayer) in the time of which she has become clean.’”
2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ عَنْ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ يَحْيَى قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الْحَائِضِ تَطْهُرُ عِنْدَ الْعَصْرِ تُصَلِّي الأولَى قَالَ لاَ إِنَّمَا تُصَلِّي الصَّلاَةَ الَّتِي تَطْهُرُ عِنْدَهَا.

Ali has narrated from his father from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr and ai-Hajjai from Tha‘labah ibn Maymun from Mu’ammar ibn ‘Umar who has narrated the foliowing: “I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about the case of a man who must clothe the needy because of expiation due to oath. He (the Imam) said, ‘
It is a kind of clothing which can cover his privacy.’”
6- عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ وَالْحَجَّالِ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَمَّنْ وَجَبَتْ عَلَيْهِ الْكِسْوَةُ فِي كَفَّارَةِ الْيَمِينِ قَالَ ثَوْبٌ يُوَارِي بِهِ عَوْرَتَهُ.

8. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Mu’ammar ibn Khallad who has said the following
“I once heard abu al-Hassan (a.s.), saying, ‘If one eats food in his house and pieces of food fall off, he must pick them up and eat; but if one eats food in the wilderness or outdoors he should leave such pieces for the birds and beasts.”’ (See also Ch. 48, h 15)
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَمَّرِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ مَنْ أَكَلَ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ طَعَاماً فَسَقَطَ مِنْهُ شَيْ‏ءٌ فَلْيَتَنَاوَلْهُ وَ مَنْ أَكَلَ فِي الصَّحْرَاءِ أَوْ خَارِجاً فَلْيَتْرُكْهُ لِلطَّيْرِ وَ السَّبُعِ .
