I asked Abu Abdullah (as), about a man who purchased a slave that had children from a free woman, and then the man freed the slave. Imam (as) said: "The wala' (bond of loyalty) of his children belongs to the one who freed him."

"A woman is entitled to a share of the blood money (diyyah) of her husband, and a man is entitled to a share of the blood money of his wife, as long as neither of them has killed the other."

“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘One who is not vigilant and protective, his heart is upside down.’”

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘Wearing clothes of sharp color is not desirable except for weddings/”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that Ali (a.s.), would make the son of a brother to inherit the share of his father with a grandfather.’”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about Salah (prayer) of Friday. He (the Imam) said, ‘ Jibril brought it with a short period of time. When it is Zawal (declining of the sun toward the west at noontime) then perform it.’ I (the narrator) then asked, ‘When it is Zawal, must I perform two Rak‘at, then Friday Salah (prayer)?’ Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), said, ‘I, however, when it is Zawal, do not begin anything before obligatory Salah (prayer).’ Al-Qasim has said that ibn Bukayr would perform two Rak‘at when he had doubts about the commencement of Zawal. When he became certain of the commencement of Zawal he commenced the obligatory Salah (prayer) on Friday.’” (The following chapter is best explained in the form of fatwa.)

he heard Abul Qassim Muhammad ibn ‘Ali, Ibn al-Hanafiyya (may Allah be pleased with him) say: "There is nothing for you in your life except tasteful pleasure which brings you closer to your death, and nearer to your sleep. Every food causes a lump and every drink is accompanied by a choke! So ponder over your affairs; as if you were (already) a lost friend and a dream carried away! The people of the earth are on a journey, they do not have to break camp except elsewhere."

H 337 - Our teachers (Shaykhs) have reported saying: We did not have any doubt that if something should happen to Abu Ja’far, no one will take his place, but Ja’far Ibn Ahmad Ibn Matil or his father, for he was Abu Ja’far’s confidant and was at his house mostly. It was known that towards the end of his life, Abu Ja’far did not eat any food that was not prepared at the house of Ja’far Ibn Ahmad Ibn Matil and his father, due to an incident that had occurred. His food was at the house of Ja’far and his father. Our scholars did not doubt that if something happened, the position will be handed to him. When he passed away and Abul Qasim was selected, they submitted to him and did not reject him. They were all with him and at his service just as they were with Abu Ja’far. Ja’far Ibn Ahmad Ibn Matil continued to serve Abul Qasim as his deputy until his death as he served Abu Ja’far Amari. Anyone who criticizes Abul Qasim in fact criticizes Abu Ja’far and finally criticizes the Divine Proof (Hujjah).

Everything in this book that is narrated from Sulayman ibn Dawud Al-Munqari has been transmitted by me from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Sa'd ibn Abdullah, from Al-Qasim ibn Muhammad Al-Isfahani, from Sulayman ibn Dawud Al-Munqari, who is known as Ibn Al-Shadhkuni.

Everything in this book that is narrated from Al-Ays ibn Al-Qasim has been transmitted by me from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan Al-Saffar, from Yaqub ibn Yazid, from Safwan ibn Yahya, from Al-Ays ibn Al-Qasim.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Do not wear wool or hairs unless because of illness.’”

Al-Ays ibn al-Qasim asked Imam Sadiq (a.s) how to greet the people of the Book when writing a letter. He said: “Write: “And Peace to all who follow guidance” [The Holy Quran: Ta- Ha 20:47] in the beginning, and write: “And Peace on the apostles. And Praise to God, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds” [The Holy Quran: Saffat 37:181-182] at the end of the letter.”

"You are not required to perform ghusl there. Ta'ris (staying briefly at al-Mu'arras) is to pray there and lie down, whether passing by during the night or the day."

“See your heart. If it dislikes your friend then notice that one of you have done something newly wrong.’”

He asked Abu Abdullah (as) about a boy being married to a girl - do they inherit from one another? Imam (as) said: "If it was their parents who arranged their marriage, then yes, they do inherit from each other."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘An oath is not taken by anything other than by Allah.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘In the case of Jews, Christians and Zoroastrian, you must not make them to take an oath by anything other than by Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious.””

"Supplications are answered at four periods: during Salat al-Witr, after Salat al-Fajr, after Salat al-Dhuhr, and after Salat al-Maghrib."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Of the Sunnah of prophets is draining al-Istinja’ (one’s urine) and circumcision.’”

" Imam (as) replied: "No, it should not be sold until he returns."

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man upon whom Salah (prayer) for one year has accumulated because of illness. He (the Imam) said, ‘He is not required to perform such Salah (prayer).”’
