The Prophet (a.s) said: “Whoever likes to be the strongest man should rely on God. Whoever likes to be the noblest man should be pious, and whoever likes to be the most needless man should trust in what is in God's Hands more that what is in his own hands.”
وقال (صلى الله عليه وآله): من سره أن يكون أقوى الناس فليتوكل على الله، ومن سره أن يكون أكرم الناس فليتق الله، ومن سره أن يكون أغنى الناس فليكن بما في يد الله أوثق منه في يديه.

hadith 770
18. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from those whom he has mentioned who has said the following
“Once, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), mentioned fish which floats on water and what people dislike. He (the Imam) said, ‘The fish floating on the water are disliked because their smell has changed.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) وَ ذَكَرَ الطَّافِيَ وَ مَا يَكْرَهُ النَّاسُ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ
إِنَّمَا الطَّافِي مِنَ السَّمَكِ الْمَكْرُوهُ وَ هُوَ مَا يَتَغَيَّرُ رَائِحَتُهُ .

8. It is a narration from him (narrator of the previous Hadith) by his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Rifa‘ah and Muhammad ibn Yahya from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali from Rifa‘ah, who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a cut-off hand for Wudu’. He (the Imam) said, ‘One must wash the cut-off part.”’
8ـ وَعَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ رِفَاعَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ رِفَاعَةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الأقْطَعِ قَالَ يَغْسِلُ مَا قُطِعَ مِنْهُ.

34. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Fadalah from Musa ibn Bakr from Zurarah who has said the following
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘Life and death are two creatures of the creatures of Allah. When death comes then it enters in man. In whatever things death enters, life goes out of that place.’”
34ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ بَكْرٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
الْحَيَاةُ وَالْمَوْتُ خَلْقَانِ مِنْ خَلْقِ الله فَإِذَا جَاءَ الْمَوْتُ فَدَخَلَ فِي الإِنْسَانِ لَمْ يَدْخُلْ فِي شَيْ‏ءٍ إِلاَّ وَقَدْ خَرَجَتْ مِنْهُ الْحَيَاةُ.

1. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Yahya al-’Attar from Muhammad b. Ahmad b. Yahya who raised it to Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said
“I seek immunity from Allah regarding one who offers full prayers (4 rakats) while traveling.”
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ یَحْیَی الْعَطَّارُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ یَحْیَی رَفَعَهُ إِلَی أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ
مَنْ صَلَّی فِی سَفَرٍ أَرْبَعَ رَکَعَاتٍ مُتَعَمِّداً فَأَنَا إِلَی اللَّهِ تَعَالَی بَرِی ءٌ مِنْهُ.

1. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Ya’qub b. Yazid from Marwak b. ’Ubayd from some of our companions from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said
“I hate the person who gives more importance to a mortgaged thing than a Muslim brother.”
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ یَعْقُوبَ بْنِ یَزِیدَ عَنْ مَرْوَکِ بْنِ عُبَیْدٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ
مَنْ کَانَ الرَّهْنُ عِنْدَهُ أَوْثَقَ مِنْ أَخِیهِ الْمُسْلِمِ فَأَنَا مِنْهُ بَرِی ءٌ.

4. Ibn Mahbub has narrated from more than one person who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Ibrahim (a.s.) was vigilant and protective and I am more vigilant and protective than he was. Allah cuts-off the noses of those who do not exercise vigilance in favor of the believing and Muslims.’”
4- ابْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) كَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) غَيُوراً وَأَنَا أَغْيَرُ مِنْهُ وَجَدَعَ اللهُ أَنْفَ مَنْ لا يَغَارُ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ.

37. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr from Zurara from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following
“A believer is stronger than a mountain. A mountain loses its parts but no loss takes place in the religion of a believer.”
37ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
الْمُؤْمِنُ أَصْلَبُ مِنَ الْجَبَلِ الْجَبَلُ يُسْتَقَلُّ مِنْهُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُ لا يُسْتَقَلُّ مِنْ دِينِهِ شَيْ‏ءٌ.

hadith 908
1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from al-‘Ala’ from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“I once asked one of the two Imam, (abu Ja‘far or abu ‘ Abd Allah), ‘Alayhim al-Salam, about the eggs that I may find in the wilderness. He (the Imam) said, ’Do not eat unless the shape of its both ends is different.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَحَدِهِمَا ( عليهما السلام ) قَالَ
إِذَا دَخَلْتَ أَجَمَةً فَوَجَدْتَ بَيْضاً فَلَا تَأْكُلْ مِنْهُ إِلَّا مَا اخْتَلَفَ طَرَفَاهُ .

12. Abu Ali al-Ash’ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan from Musa ibn Bakr from Zurarah who has said the following
“About the case of a man who hides the amount of mahr (dower) and in public shows it more, abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘It ( mahr (dower)) is what he hides.’”
12- أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ بَكْرٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام)
فِي رَجُلٍ أَسَرَّ صَدَاقاً وَأَعْلَنَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ هُوَ الَّذِي أَسَرَّ وَ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ النِّكَاحُ.

2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad and Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from Muthanna’ al-Hannat from Minhal al-Qassab who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), once said, ‘You must not travel to meet the caravan of suppliers out of the city before other buyers, you must not buy from those you meet in this way and you must not eat from items purchased in this way.’”
2- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ وَأَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ مُثَنًّى الْحَنَّاطِ عَنْ مِنْهَالٍ الْقَصَّابِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ لا تَلَقَّ وَلا تَشْتَرِ مَا تُلُقِّيَ وَلا تَأْكُلْ مِنْهُ.

6. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Dawud ibn abu Dawud who has said the following: “A man had seen abu al-Hassan (a.s.), in Khurasan eating leeks from the garden as it was and it was said to him (the Imam), ‘There is fertilizer with it.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘
It does not stick to it and it is very good for hemorrhoids.’”

عليه السلام ) لَا تَعَلَّقُ بِهِ مِنْهُ شَيْ‏ءٌ وَ هُوَ جَيِّدٌ لِلْبَوَاسِيرِ .

9. Abu Ali al-Ash’ari has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhsin ibn Ahmad from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from Hadid ibn Hakim from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘The minimum form of causing suffering and disappointment to parents is the expression, ‘Uff. Had Allah known anything less disappointing than ‘Uff, He would have prohibited it.’”
9ـ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَسِّنِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ حَدِيدِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
أَدْنَى الْعُقُوقِ أُفٍّ وَلَوْ عَلِمَ الله أَيْسَرَ مِنْهُ لَنَهَى عَنْهُ.

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali from Aban from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following
“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who bought from a charity collector who committed injustice. He (the Imam) said, ‘He can buy from him unless he learns that he has done injustice in collecting those goods.’”
3- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَشْتَرِي مِنَ الْعَامِلِ وَهُوَ يَظْلِمُ قَالَ يَشْتَرِي مِنْهُ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ أَنَّهُ ظَلَمَ فِيهِ أَحَداً.

220. Muhammad Bin Yahya, from someone else, from Muhammad Bin Isa, from Muhammad Bin Amro Bin Ibrahim who said
I asked Abu Ja’far (asws) and complained to him (asws) of a weak stomach, so he (asws) said: ‘Drink ‘الْحَزَاءَ’ Al-Haza’a with the cold water’. So I did it, and found what I liked’.
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عليه السلام) وَ شَكَوْتُ إِلَيْهِ ضَعْفَ مَعِدَتِي فَقَالَ اشْرَبِ الْحَزَاءَ بِالْمَاءِ الْبَارِدِ فَفَعَلْتُ فَوَجَدْتُ مِنْهُ مَا أُحِبُّ.

Hadith.3928 - Ibn Muskan narrated from Abu Basir, from Abu Abdillah (as), who said
"The goldsmith, the launderer, and the weaver are not held liable unless they are suspected. In such cases, they must bring evidence, and they should be made to swear an oath and be warned, perhaps something may be revealed from them."
3928 - وَ رَوَى اِبْنُ مُسْكَانَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
"لاَ يُضَمَّنُ اَلصَّائِغُ وَ لاَ اَلْقَصَّارُ وَ لاَ اَلْحَائِكُ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَكُونُوا مُتَّهَمِينَ فَيَجِيئُونَ بِالْبَيِّنَةِ فَيُخَوَّفُ وَ يُسْتَحْلَفُ لَعَلَّهُ يُسْتَخْرَجُ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ ".

Hadith.5674 - Safwan ibn Yahya narrated from Ibn Muskan, from Abu Basir, who said
I asked Imam (as) about a disowned son (makhlooh) whose father publicly renounces him before the authorities and disclaims both his inheritance and responsibility for his actions. I asked: "Who inherits from him (the father)?" Imam (as) replied: "Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) ruled: 'His inheritance goes to the closest relatives of his father.'"
5674 - رَوَى صَفْوَانُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنِ اِبْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ اَلْمَخْلُوعِ يَتَبَرَّأُ مِنْهُ أَبُوهُ عِنْدَ اَلسُّلْطَانِ وَ مِنْ مِيرَاثِهِ وَ جَرِيرَتِهِ لِمَنْ مِيرَاثُهُ فَقَالَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ "هُوَ لِأَقْرَبِ اَلنَّاسِ إِلَى أَبِيهِ".

1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn Sinan from Muhammad ibn ‘Ajlan who has said the following
“Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘You must not make it heavy for your deceased by placing him in the grave. Place him two or three yards away from the grave on the ground so that he can get ready.”’
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلاَنَ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) لاَ تَفْدَحْ مَيِّتَكَ بِالْقَبْرِ وَلَكِنْ ضَعْهُ أَسْفَلَ مِنْهُ بِذِرَاعَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاَثَةٍ وَدَعْهُ يَأْخُذُ أُهْبَتَهُ.

Hadith.697 - As for the Mosque of Al-Sahla, Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) said: "If my uncle Zayd had sought refuge in it, Allah (swt) would have protected him for a year. This is the location of the house of Idris (as), where he used to sew, and it is the place from which Ibrahim (as) departed to the Amalekites. It is also the place from which David (as) set out to confront Goliath. Beneath it lies a green stone that contains the image of the face of every prophet created by Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic. From beneath it, the clay (substance) of every prophet was taken. It is also the place of the Rider." He was asked: "And who is the Rider?" Imam (as) said: "Al-Khidr (as)."
697 - وَ أَمَّا مَسْجِدُ اَلسَّهْلَةِ فَقَدْ قَالَ اَلصَّادِقُ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ «لَوِ اِسْتَجَارَ عَمِّي زَيْدٌ بِهِ لَأَجَارَهُ اَللَّهُ سَنَةً ذَلِكَ مَوْضِعُ بَيْتِ إِدْرِيسَ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ اَلَّذِي كَانَ يَخِيطُ فِيهِ وَ هُوَ اَلْمَوْضِعُ اَلَّذِي خَرَجَ مِنْهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ إِلَى اَلْعَمَالِقَةِ وَ هُوَ اَلْمَوْضِعُ اَلَّذِي خَرَجَ مِنْهُ دَاوُدُ إِلَى جَالُوتَ وَ تَحْتَهُ صَخْرَةٌ خَضْرَاءُ فِيهَا صُورَةُ وَجْهِ كُلِّ نَبِيٍّ خَلَقَهُ اَللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ مِنْ تَحْتِهِ أُخِذَتْ طِينَةُ كُلِّ نَبِيٍّ وَ هُوَ مَوْضِعُ اَلرَّاكِبِ» فَقِيلَ لَهُ وَ مَا اَلرَّاكِبُ قَالَ « اَلْخَضِرُ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ. وأما مسجد براثا ببغداد فصلى فيه أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام لما رجع من قتال أهل النهروان.

Hadith.4119 - Abu al-Husayn Muhammad ibn Ja'far al-Asadi (may Allah (swt) be pleased with him) narrated from Musa ibn Imran al-Nakha'i, from his uncle al-Husayn ibn Yazid al-Nawfali, from Ali ibn Salim, from his father, who said
"I asked Abu Abdullah (as) about the report that has been narrated: 'Whoever relies more on a pledge (rahn) than on his believing brother, I am free from him.' Imam (as) replied: 'That applies when the truth becomes manifest, and our Qaim (the Mahdi Imam Muhammad ibn Hassan Al-Mahdi (as)) from among the Ahlulbayt (as) rises.' I then asked about the report that says: 'The profit earned by a believer from another believer is riba (usury).' Imam (as) said: 'That applies when the truth becomes manifest, and our Qaim (as) from among the Ahlulbayt (as) rises. As for today, there is no harm if a believer sells to his believing brother and earns profit from him.' "
4119 - وَ رَوَى أَبُو اَلْحُسَيْنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ اَلْأَسَدِيُّ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عِمْرَانَ اَلنَّخَعِيِّ عَنْ عَمِّهِ اَلْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اَلنَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَنِ اَلْخَبَرِ اَلَّذِي رُوِيَ "أَنَّ مَنْ كَانَ بِالرَّهْنِ أَوْثَقَ مِنْهُ بِأَخِيهِ اَلْمُؤْمِنِ فَأَنَا مِنْهُ بَرِيءٌ" فَقَالَ "ذَلِكَ إِذَا ظَهَرَ اَلْحَقُّ وَ قَامَ قَائِمُنَا أَهْلَ اَلْبَيْتِ " قُلْتُ فَالْخَبَرُ اَلَّذِي رُوِيَ "أَنَّ رِبْحَ اَلْمُؤْمِنِ عَلَى اَلْمُؤْمِنِ رِبًا مَا هُوَ" قَالَ "ذَاكَ إِذَا ظَهَرَ اَلْحَقُّ وَ قَامَ قَائِمُنَا أَهْلَ اَلْبَيْتِ وَ أَمَّا اَلْيَوْمَ فَلاَ بَأْسَ بِأَنْ يَبِيعَ مِنَ اَلْأَخِ اَلْمُؤْمِنِ وَ يَرْبَحَ عَلَيْهِ".
